Overall very good. Steaks cooked to perfection, and our server, Eddie was outstanding.
This is my "go to" Black Angus.... Always good food and service....
We went to Black Angus for my birthday and it was well worth the hour drive. Excellent food and outstanding service. On a scale of 1-10, I’d give them a 20. We will definitely be back!
Not the Black Angus we remembered. Food was not worth the $$ we spent.
We were very pleased with the food and service. Will definitely come back.
They finally got it figured out by taking reservations. I've been inquiring as to why restaurants got away from this practice. But anyway, the food and service is always great and out of all the restaurants that we patronize they seem to know their industry and what their customer wants.
We go by about 1x/month. If they keep doing this, they'll keep getting my business.
Great service, good value, nice atmosphere
Made the reservation. Still waited 10 minutes to be seated while the restaurant was empty.
Server was great and very attentive.
The host/manager could’ve communicated why we still waited. There was two hosts and two managers at the front check in
We eat at the Lakewood Black Angus at least once a week. The Filet, asparagus, baked potato is excellent. Salads are chilled and very good also. Our server Josh is also very knowledgeable with the menu. He is probably our favorite server there. The mud pie and chocolate cake and ice cream is also very good. Thank you Black Angus, and a very special thank you to Josh.
We made the reservation for Black Angus the day before online. We were running late, so we called to move the reservation out another fifteen to twenty minutes. They accommodated us. Arrived and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The steaks were cooked to order and were delicious. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and were offered a complimentary dessert but we were too full from dinner. We will be coming back.
We arrived at opening so there was no wait. The service was fast and friendly. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and even offered some recommendations. My wife’s steak wasn’t cooked as ordered and they quickly offered a resolution. Overall good dining experience there are better restaurants and there are definitely worse.
You get a lot of food at a decent price, but don't expect quick or correctly cooked.
The service was challenging and making a reservation was not valued.
The Black Angus in Lakewood has always given me and my friends outstanding service and an extremely tasty meal. Be sure and sign up so you receive special prices at various times on a great selection of meals. For me it is around a 40 minute drive, but it is worth it. Additionally, if you just want a great burger, nothing fancier, their burger is outstanding!!! and then price is reasonable.
My favorite restaurant in Lakewood. Black Angus combines great food with impeccable service.
Employees need to take caution to not disparaging remarks about other customers. We felt uneasy with that, which denigrated our otherwise positive experience.
For my first time dining at black Angus it was an amazing service. The food was really delicious. I took my fiance there for our one year engagement and it was the best choice. Thank you for outstanding service. We will be back very soon. Paige & Chris
Amazing waitress and amazing food!!!
Not enough staff, food was average for a steakhouse. Will try again on a different day
Went here for Valentine’s Day, the wait to be seated was expected even with my reservations. Me and my girlfriend ordered our drinks and food minutes after being seated. After waiting close to an hour my girlfriend and I almost walked out, but before we could our cold entrées arrived. Overall the experience was mediocre and unpleasant especially for Valentine’s Day.
Very busy for valentine’s day but did the best that they could. Food was delicious! The meal that we got was a great value because it was a special, but other parts of the menu were more expensive. Expect to spend $50+ for two people. More romantic than I thought it would be. Servers were very friendly and helpful even though i’m sure they were stressed.
Absolutely wonderful!!!
We got reservations on line and was seated quickly but we didn't get our bread with the campfire feast . Our coffee was warm not hot and every cup was the same. Service was quick but we were a little disappointed about the bread though.
My steak was bad. As in, the color was gray. Either the meat was bad or had been boiled not grilled. They took it back and apologized but we only received a $10 credit. It was replaced (my choice) with a lesser cut. But being that my meal came very late the rest of my group was done eating. I really did not feel like holding everyone up while I ate. The staff was fairly nice and apologetic about it. But I am not sure how it even got served. I think the credit was not sufficient.
Was surprised that we had to wait more than 10 minutes with even having a reservation.
The special for two was yummy, new York cut with a steak quesadilla for appetizer
Nice, relaxing place for dinner. We went early. Cozy, private booth seating. Our server, Amy, was attentive and prompt. A bit disappointed we weren't served REAL butter with our bread. Amy fixed this for us. The appetizer (Sampler platter) was mediocre. Salmon and 12oz Ribeye were delicious. Could stand for some caramelization on the steak. Wine was way overpriced. Chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream on top, and side of hot fudge, was too sweet. Service was excellent!
Had the prime rib and twin lobster tails.... food and service. I go there every chance I get...
Since we were there the last time the menu is new and the prices are extremely high and the food was not as good as it had been in the past. We were disappointed.
I ordered a tri-tip steak; it was actually a piece of tri-tip roast- a tougher cut that should be marinated or tenderized in some fashion. It was very tough and I finally gave up trying to wrestle with it and didn't eat it. The rest of my meal was good (salad & baked potato). My friend's prime rib was said to be very good. Service was a bit slow and it wasn't at all busy.
Have been here 2 times during dinner. We have waited for close to an hour each time for our dinner. When the dinner arrives it is cold. Appetizers are cold too.
Will not go back.
Not impressed at all especially when the bill is close to or just over 100.00 dollars.
Our waitress was really nice. The food was amazing! Will be going back shortly
We had a horrible experience. Our waiter smelled so bad and had long nails with dirty crusted under them. Very unappealing when someone hands you food like that. Second, it took 10 minutes just for us to get water which is annoying but it’s alsl kind of whatever. But every single thing after that took 20 minutes! 20 minutes for bread, another 20 for the appetizer, another 25 for our dinner. By the time we received our food, we were annoyed and ready to leave. It took 35 minutes to receive the check and I had to wait another for our waiter to pick it up, another 10 for him bring it back and I still have to wait another 10 for the cheesecake I asked for to go when I originally asked for the check 45 minutes prior! Overall took us over 2 hours before we were able to leave when it usually takes us an hour TOPS. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.
Excellent as usual
Food was very good and plenty of it. Was a birthday get together for four and a big cookie with ice cream was brought out for free dessert. After a big meal, dividing it in four was perfect.
Drinks were well made and you could actually taste the alcohol.
Very nice experience. Waiter was great, very attentive w/o being overly so. Sorry, can't remember his name.
We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious.
A wonderful place to dine!! I recommend that you also bring your wonderful family!
Great food............................................................................Service could be better.
This was my parents 52nd anniversary dinner. Appetizer was good, main course for all four of us were COLD. We’ve never had an issue like this at this location. The manager came over and profusely expressed his apologies and that he’d make it right. After our 2nd set of entrees came, all was well. The food is usually pretty good and you get a good portion. I’d still recommend this location but my expectations have definitely been lowered.
The steak was excellent as was Prime Rib but over all good was average, baked potato was almost cold and vegetables were over cooked. Not what I would expect from Black Angus..
