It's a good old fashioned high back booth steak & seafood restaurant that we were raised enjoying with our folks. From the entry to our exit EVERYONE we came into contact were professional, informed, gracious and friendly. Especially liked our wait person, ALLISON.
FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. SERVICE WAS A LITTLE SLOW, BUT THEY WERE QUITE BUSY. DRINKS WERE OK, BUT PRICY
Terrible service in horrible food. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the waitresses so rude and doesn’t care about if we like the food or not.
Our waitress, Britene, was an exceptional waitress She was efficient, knowledgeable , smiling and and pleasant. Our food was delicious. Our New York strip steaks were perfect med rare. We were asked to check the steaks for correct doneness when they were served to us. The steaks were flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. One person at our table had salmon and said it was excellent also. There was background music that was just that... background music - perfect. The booths have high padded backs, so there is a lot of privacy and the noise level is her low. We will be back at the Black Angus on our next visit to Mesa.
The reservation got us seated in about one minute. Extremely happy with the service and the food. One main reason we always go there is because of the Cajun blackened that they do is always so good however the last two times they seem to have changed the recipe which is not as spicy as it was previously. I hope they go back to what they were doing.
We love the quiet of this restaurant. It is great to have a nice conversation without having to talk loud. The food is always excellent. Great steak, great seafood, great chicken, great soup, and love, love the molasses bread.
Great food and attentive service. Good for all occasions. Place needs remodelling to bring it up to date.
When I am craving a prime rib or ribeye in the east Mesa area, I think Black Angus. A wonderful selection of cuts and they can bring a rare prime rib to the table like few others. Black Angus knows it's business and executes flawlessly. We were seated immediately and our server Carli handled a busy evening like we were the only diners in the room. Her skills added to the relaxing enjoyment of the evening.
Good food, good waitress, a bit steep on $. Parking is challenging. Need more handicap spaces.
We had reservations on New Years Eve for 5:45 and got seated at our table within 5 minutes of arriving. The food and the service were excellent.
