This Black Angus Steakhouse features a casual sports bar concept within the restaurant which boasts 10 to 12 hi-def flat screen TVs and offers various types of viewing zones. Each seat in the bar offers Guests the ability to watch different sporting events simultaneously. My husband and I both ordered filet mignon but I believe they gave us at least one prime rib cut. It definitely wasn't the advertized center cut aged angus steak I was looking forward to. That being said, our experience at this location has been good in the past.

This was my fourth time eating at this particular Black Angus in Sunnyvale, California. I was taking my friend out for his birthday.

However, this experience was decidedly different. Instead of a packed steakhouse, I found the place almost deserted at 9:45 PM on a Friday night. We ordered the $62 meal for two. The appetizer sampler was only partially successful, since several of the chicken strips were undercooked and still pink in the middle. I ordered my New York steak medium rare and received it between well done and medium well.

I asked that the manager be informed that the chicken had been under cooked and the steak had been overcooked which is the exact opposite of how you err at a steakhouse.

The manager never came over to the table but sent word through our server that my dinner would be on the house which is half of the price of the meal.

Both my friend and I felt a little sick to our stomach‘s after the meal and decided that we would not return.

(I did not penalize the server for screw up by the kitchen and tipped him between about 20% for what I guessed would be the total amount without the reduction.)

It was Valentine’s Day and it was super crowded. Luckily we made a reservation with open table.
The food was very good and everything great. They did make
A few mistakes on the bill but did correct it.

We wanted to have lunch at Black Angus on Feb. 14 th and I indicated it on Open Table’s form. 1 PM was our choice but Open Table gave 3PM as the available time...Imthought the restaurant was busy for the Valentine’s day...we also had lunch coupons of Black Angus....but at 3PM they told us they do not serve lunch at Sunnyvale Black Angus! I wish Opentable reservation form indicated this fact..... :(

Had same server as previous reservation - much more engaged, responsive and prompt with status and suggestions. Menu items changed where added more choices to menu including desserts. Did try new orange chocolate cake - moist, hint of orange blended with cocoa and chocolate chips - definitely try if love these flavors.

The meat and steak were fine—getting properly cooked vegetables was impossible. When we finally got cooked broccoli, it was yellow, limp and sad and not fit at all to eat. Would recommend they get fresh shipments of broccoli and string beans more often!

My only complaint is there are no tables in the dining area, and as I am Handicapped, we always have to eat in the noisy sports bar. My husband and I celebrated out 80 and 82nd birthday with the TVs going full blast, also in Jan we celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary, again with the TVs going full blast. Makes it a bit hard to have a conversation. Service was great.

they have great steaks, good vegetables, good drinks. the asparagus was quite good. choice of a more open dining room and quiet booths in the back.

I live close to the restaurant and have enjoyed everything about this place many times. I introduced my daughter and grandson who started to go there regularly. For my son-in-law's bday we invited him and my other daughter making us five. We waited over an hour for our food after ordering which was surprisingly mediocre, beverage service very slow, salads first, appetizers second. With all this waiting my son in law went to the restroom and a light cover fell from the ceiling in the bathroom, broke on his head and punctured his scalp. Two managers were in the bathroom when it happened but left without much interest or concern. He had to exit the bathroom and ask for managers to get assistance. They did ultimately take an incident report, remade my son law's food and comped most of the check. Have they checked to see how he is since after knowing his wound would not stop bleeding? Kaiser has....

4 of us dine there monthly. We like the the booths, and reduced noise compared to many other restaurants. The waiter was very prompt, and delivered hot food.
We always enjoy our treks there.
We have a disabled individual in the group, and she is able to manage with her walker, without difficulty.
Only negative comment would be that we are not afficianadas of country music.
The staff will turn down the sound when it is requested.
