Our waitress was very attentive and sweet, and she remembered us from a previous visit, which put a personal touch to our visit for my husband's birthday celebration. However, when we made the Open Table reservation, we specifically indicated 'quiet location' as my husband is hard of hearing. About 15 minutes after we were seated and had just ordered our food, a family with a baby were seated kitty-corner from us and, as expected, the noice level increased. Since we had already ordered our food, we stayed in our seat, but we were disappointed that our request was not honored. Black Angus food, however, never disappoints, and the service is typically comparable to the food. We will be back as Black Angus which is our 'go to' restaurant for celebrations and group dinners. The next time, though, we will be sure to let our hostess know that we requested a quiet location.
2 of our 6 steaks were ordered medium and they came out well done. Told server and she said it would take to long to remake with how busy it was that day so she was really sorry. One person's ordered the trio and the lobster had 2 small bites, it looked like some tried it before they brought it out.
Open table reservation process was great. Restaurant was clean and inviting for the Christmas season. We got seated at a very crowded booth. The six of us were miserable the entire time because we had just a tiny bit of space on the table in front of us to eat. We mentioned several times to the server that we were in too small of a booth. Three men and three ladies in a small half circle booth left no room for comfort or enjoyment of the food. We were very disappointed as this was our business Christmas dinner. I don’t think we will be going back to Black Angus again. The food was subpar, mediocre at best. Very sad because we wanted to treat our employees to a wonderful Christmas dinner but it was not even close to enjoyable.
We followed up on an ad for this long time, well known, restaurant. It was seafood and steak. The salads were great and the bread was better then average. The lobster and shrimp were right on the mark, but -- but their signature beef was tasty but below average due to stringing muscle in about one third of the small steak. They usually present much better beef. Our waitperson was excellent!!
We will return to try their Wednesday prime rib special. Wine bottles at half off.
The steaks here are good, but not amazing. My wife prefers the sirloin at Outback and I did not find the tri-tip very flavorful. Service was slow and the prices are not that good. We did have a coupon for a $44 campfire Feast which was a good value. It included an appetizer and we got te sampler platter for a $3 upgrade charge. There were boneless buffalo chicken fingers, loaded potato skins, fried zucchini and something else that I can't remember. It also included 2 entrees, 2 salads , 4 sides and a dessert to share. There are usually coupons in the Sunday paper and I would not eat there for full price. Our $44 meal would have been $70 without the coupon.
Food was Great as always,Service was outstanding,nice to be able to talk and eat bread and salad before meals were served,Steak was perfect,fries were great as well,will be making it a once every 3 weeks dinner stop.salad was very Good. Beer was also very Good.
Had an online coupon but did not have phone with me. They said they would honor the campfire special for $44 instead of the $58 menu price. When I got my bill the price was $58 plus before tip. It seems outrageous that two sodas and 1 chocolate milk would cost me an additional $14. Not happy. Not sure if there was a built in gratuity if there was I'm feel a tip was not necessary.
Appetizer came with the bottoms of the potato skins almost burnt. Dinner arrived steaks were warm and sides were cold. Side portions were very small. For the price of the dinners we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. Purchased 1 alcoholic drink which was very watered down and more ice than anything else. Disappointing. Will not be going back.
Black Angus is one of my favorite restaurants. Using the online app for table reservation saved us wait time. Our waitress was friendly, helpful in recommending menu items and our food arrived fairly promptly. Everything was delicious, from appetizers to entrée to dessert. Would highly recommend this spot.
We made a reservation on a Friday night 2 days in advance. We were told we would have to wait 20 min for a booth! They offered a table instead that was sticky, nousey and near a lot of waiter traffic. Not much of a date night at all. The silver was also dirty as were the bread plates with grease. At this point we just wiped things off with our napkin as our server Dominic was way too overworked. The food was really good though. Clean the floors, table, plates & silver. NO one should ask to have someone’s sticky mess cleaned up.
This was a disaster of an evening. Our reservations were at 7:30. We were about 5 to10 min late. We weren't served until after 9:15PM The waitress was very apologetic and told us there was a "MIXUP" in the kitchen. This was the only explanation offered. When served, my steak was not hot.
The waitress tried very hard to make our experience better but, I think offering deserts (that we probably wouldn't have ordered) does not make up a bad experience and ruined evening. We have eaten at Black Angus often and have never had anything near this and we will return because we like the food, usually. This is not usual experience.
I don't know what happened in the kitchen but I don't feel our waitress was at fault.
