The food is always very good and when they have the lobster special they are well worth it. Only problem here is the bar service. When you are at a table it takes approx. 30 min to receive your drink after you have ordered it.
Been to Black Angus in Santa Ana several times and the food has been great. May have a few minute delay getting in, but at least with open table you are ahead of everyone else.
Have not been here for years. Really great experience. Wonderful staff and of course the food was perfect.
Meal was filling and tasty. Service was good. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to others and I will. E back on the future without a doubt 😉
The Black Angus Restaurant continues to surprise me with its menu. They always seem to be trying to adjust options and create new options for people to try. Our party consisted of three people. Two of us shared the campfire feast and one had a New York steak with a complimentary small lobster tail. All the dinners were well prepared and all of the steaks were cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a good Steakhouse without emptying your wallet, this is a good choice.
Really nice time after not having visit BA in many years. Was very glad to see the same quality is still there. Will start visiting more often.
Every time we go is with family or friends.
We are very happy to have such wonderful wait staff ( Dawn & Megan) and also the best manager (Paul). The food is always excellent.
Nicole was Outstanding as our server. We have been there many times and the service is alway good, she was the best.
Because it was Easter it was crowded and loud. Staff was VERY BUSY and the kitchen must have been understaffed. My prime rib as very dry and potatoes were cold. This is not normal for this location.
Sorry to say it was not up to the norm for this location.
It was helpful that I was able to make a reservation via Open Table for Easter Sunday dinner with my small family. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was not too full which was nice on a holiday weekend and were given a nice roomy booth. Our server was Kevin H. He was polite, efficient, considerate and just overall very wonderful and attentive.
The food was delicious and more filling than I thought it would be.
Overall it was an outstanding experience with the manager also stopping by to make sure we were attended well and happy. This was my first visit to this location and I was impressed and would choose this restaurant over Claim Jumper which is a few buildings down the block.
Black Angus is back on my top 5 list! Great job Santa Ana crew⭐️
We rarely have a complaint when dining at BA but our Easter dinner could have been better. My husband and I both ordered the top sirloin steak and it was not our usual enjoyable meal because the steak did not seem to be cut correctly with a portion of each cut thinner on one end. This then causes it to be cooked more on the thinner end. I had to send mine back because I ordered medium rare and it was more like medium and very dry. Also, even my second steak and my husband's, was stringy and tough. I never like to complain, but when the waiter asked if the steaks were medium rare, I did ask for a replacement. We didn't complain further but we should have.
We had to send our steaks once when they weren't done right. In fact even the color on the outside didn't look grilled. Even after throwing them back in, the inside temperature was still not right. We should not have to keep sending steaks back in a steakhouse.
Although I enjoyed my meal, the only thing that kept my visit from being overall outstanding was the fact that my entire meal was lukewarm/room temperature. Nothing on my plate was hot. That leads me to believe that my meal had been sitting for a little while after it had been prepared, which is odd because it wasn't busy at all. There were very few people there that evening so I find it hard to believe that the waitor was so swamp that he couldn't get my meal to me before it began to drastically cool off. Had I received my hot, it would had surely been nothing short of a perfect experience.
One of our favorites for simple good food. Always enjoy the appetizers.
I ordered the prime rib 16 oz. It was cooked a perfect medium rare. Had two sides of broccoli and green beans. Both good but felt they could have been warmer. Service was good and as always love the many screens available for different sports.
Our server was excellent. Did not overlook any of the details.
Our ribeyes were great but the service was absolutely terrible. Our waters remained empty for long period of time, when I asked for a refill she never brought it. We waited 55 minutes after ordering to get our food. The rest of our party got their food, and two of us received our orders approximately 15 minutes later. Our waitress forgot we existed after she took our order. The manager visited the table, and we were all finished and had been for about 10 minutes. He didn’t pick up a single dish. We were going to order dessert but decided against simply due to the service.
The flavor and the tenderness of the ribeyes was the saving grace here. Other than that, two thumbs very, very down!
Service was painfully slow - we were fortunate to have had the best server (Delaney), but they seemed to have her slammed between way too many tables and areas. This was really a stark difference from our usual experiences (we eat there often). Despite this 'glitch,' we will undoubtedly return.
The food is always fantastic and the service was outstanding.
We made a reservation but because we were about 10 min late and the restaurant appeared relatively empty, I didn’t mention it when we first walked in. We were told it would be a 35 to 40 min wait. I mentioned the reservation and we were immediately seated (in the empty restaurant). Our server disappeared for long periods of time and we waited an extremely long time for a salad to be delivered (plain salad - minor assembly, no cooking required). The food was well prepared and portions were very generous. The drinks from the bar were well made and they offered a free dessert due to the special occasion. Overall an ok visit, but I probably will not return.
The food itself was fine, but every other part of the experience was below average. Started with waiting 26 extra minutes from our reservation time. In fairness to the restaurant, they had a couple larger parties...but they seemed to prioritize them at all times, while making all other parties wait. When 3 servers are checking on/following up on a large party, and no one’s checking on anyone else, that’s a problem. There’s nothing wrong with being busy, but If you can’t honor reservation times, don’t offer them!
Very enjoyable and food was very good. Would come back for sure.
Had a coupon for 20% off the king crab leg combo which my husband loves. Everything was great for him. I had the prime rib, medium, which was rather a thin cut and a bit too red. We both had the wedge salad since we grew up with iceberg lettuce and don't care for the very leafy green lettuces.
One hostess said we were checked in the other said we were not checked inn. Had to return my Filet as overcooked, New not much better. They butterflied the stack and i requested a thick cut! It's a filet afterall!
Had the special with king crab. Reservation was on time and service, while curt, was prompt. Unfortunately both crab and prime rib were dry, the meat tough.
It was totally the worst I have ever had at Black Angus and my wife and I have dine there
many, many times.
The best steak ever.
I always have a fine time at this Black Angus. The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and attentive.
We go here frequently, partly because it's a Delta Dining for Miles restaurant. We get 5 miles for every $ spent. We have had everything from a poor experience to very good ones. This time the draw was the King Crab legs combo seasonal special for my husband. Brought along our college granddaughter and we shared the feast for two. Everything was on the positive end of the spectrum this time.
Food was great with nice size portions. Server made a mistake on one of the orders, tried to convince us that we ordered wrong... we had to ask for refills on drinks. She only came back a few times to check on us. Food was on point so we did not let the bad server ruin the night.
All was very good
Great coverall experience. I’ve always loved black angus. Good food at great prices.
We had A party of 6, and were there for over 3 hours. All of us ordered appetizers, stakes, and deserts. Appetizers were good, stakes were all over cooked tremendously, and the deserts were ok. With a bill of over $200 I expected much better service and steaks from a STEAK HOUSE! Needless to say we won't be returning...
Also be careful in the parking lot. While we were waiting for the rest of our party two people tripped and fell pretty badly...
One of the best meals I have ever had at Black Angus, there BBQ Chicken Salad, with steak frys. Could not have ask for a better meal and the wait staff was on the ball. A great place to get good food, and great service.
Our waiter, Michael, was very helpful and pleasant.
I highly recommen eating at Black Angus. Outstanding steaks.
Our server was the best! She’s very attentive to our needs.
The food was very tasty! My steak had to be re done bc it came out with pink and I asked for no pink and that made my dates meal cold when we ate but it was still good. Our waiter, Mike V, was very poor though. He would wait very long periods of time to check up on us and would pass the table several times without asking if we were ok. He didn’t come back for such a long time we kindly asked another waiter to re fill our drink, which was RUDELY snatched off the table and returned with no smile or interaction. We asked for bread multiple times before we finally got it after we had finished our entire meal. It was crowded so we did take that into consideration, but he passed our table with bread for other people multiple times after telling us the bread was baking. When he did bring the bread we asked for a dessert at the same time, sadly ending in him taking the bread back with him, never getting the bread until after our dessert :( Good food but not worth the service.
We enjoy attending Black Angus, Yes there have been occasions where we felt missed but, when that issue was noticed, the management had made compensations. I was disappointed with making a 7:15 reservation and had to wait, then, when we got to our table it was not cleaned and we had to wait again, we were given complimentary appetizers of our choice, which was great but then we realized we had no silverware and our drinks came late. Now we understand that Valentines Days are hectic, so we were ok, we know they tried. Thank you.
My first time every coming and it was great. The food was awesome and Julian our server was amazing!
