The service was terrible. The waitress never came back to the table after we ordered to check on us. She came to bring the food and I also gave her a birthday coupon and never even gave me a birthday dessert and did not even come and sing. I had to ask another waiter for a fork that my son did not have and had to ask for more water!
Management is far too present on the dining floor. Wait staff seems uncomfortable when Manager is at the table with them, micro managing there service. Servers are very efficient if left to their jobs, it was annoying to be asked every 5 minutes “ everything ok?” Each time we were chewing or putting food in our mouths. It was awkward and happens every time we come here. This place is one of our favs on a Friday night we tab out at $100 or better each time and tip VERY WELL. If he could stop the micro managing of the wait staff that be great.
A loyal customer.
Food was not brought out in proper sequence. The person delivering the. Main course jumped to gun and delivered the main course before the waitress was able to serve the Caesar salads. My prime rib was over cooked. Quite unusual for Black Angus to do this.
Waited over hour and a half for our food and when we get our food. Steak and chicken dry and ribs are super fatty! I dont know what happened to black Angus, I use to think it was a nice restaurant to eat at but they have gone down hill alot ! Dont think I will be eating at black Angus anytime soom!
Steaks were not cooked to order. Lobster was good on one plate but way over spiced and salty on another. Waitress offered to bring different steak but my husband refused because he didn’t want to wait. No discount was offered. Spent a whole lot of money for a dinner that wasn’t eaten.
The food was great, it was Mother’s Day so they were pretty busy, food came fast, and I ate all my food, I love their salad that comes with the meal and the dessert chocolate cake with ice cream was to die for. Only problem was the plates piling up and we wiped our own mess up prior to dessert with our napkins and didn’t get any new napkins or new dessert plates. But a nice place to go to with family to celebrate any occasion.
They ran out of the featured dessert and that was disappointing
We arrived a little early with my future 90 year old Mother-in-Law, we were seated within 5-10 minutes, ahead of our reservations. Our Server was excellent, prompt and attentive with a smile. The Manager stopped to say, hello. What a treat, to have the kind of service that is so rare in today's world. We will return. Thank you, Black Angus.
Yummy teriyaki top sirloin, great salad, free lobster, great chocolate chip cookie a la mode. Best value happy hour Mondays- Fridays 3pm-7pm: best crispy zucchini with cucumber dip and huge mojito, beer (Guinness)and shot of whiskey (Jamison). Great a tenant service nice manager nice variety of food Friendly and nice
The spicy cauliflowers appetiser is gone, for nachos that are the same as at any other fastfood.
The 3/4 pounds rib is fattier and lower quality every time I order it. Once upon a time used to be a good lean piece of meat.
Place for good steaks and to see the games with friends.
Service was very good. Steaks cooked perfectly and tender. Lobster tails good. We were there 2 weeks before and things were not good so we were reluctant to come back. Glad we did .
I gave one star for everything because “Open Table” forced me to rate each topic in order to move on. Truth be told, I never sampled the food because the service was nonexistent. Our reservation was for 7:00 pm. We arrived at 6:30 and informed them that our reservation was for 7:00, but we would like to be seated as a walk in. They made us wait for our reservation, seating people that walked in after us first and ridiculing us that our reservation was for 7:00 when I inquired about how much longer it would take. Once seated at about 5 after 7:00 we sat there with not even a glass of water or a piece of bread for another 30 minutes with the waiter coming by every ten minutes or so saying, “ I didn’t forget about you”, until we finally got up and left. So we waited an hour total for nothing. Keep in mind that this was a birthday dinner. We just cut our losses and went home and cooked dinner and made the best of it. We probably still ate sooner than if we would have stayed. Probably will not go back.
g\steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Campfire special for two is tons of food and good quality.
My family & I frequent here on many occasions. We have always received the best customer service here. We normally get the same couple waitresses & they provide the best customer service. Better than upscale restaurants in my experience. Food & deals are good too if you have a coupon.
Server was great, food came out with enough time to enjoy each course. Food was very good. Bar drinks were tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Later Jared was outstanding attentive nice personality very caring. Manager was very nice Ambiance was good and food
Typical Black Angus experience. Fairly quiet not very crowded and the food was quite good. It is a bit pricey though. I suggest downloading coupons for the best deals.
Went in for the top sirloin and crab combo. Sides and appretizer were good but steaks were tough and overcooked and crab was so disappointing. It was old and shells were soft so it was a real pain to get the meat out. Been coming here for 40 years and usually pretty satisfied. Not this time. Would definetely not recommend this combo.
The restaurant is somewhat dated compared to other restaurants. Our reservation was for 6:30pm the waiting area was crowded with standing room only, it was almost 7pm before we were seated. Our server was excellent, her name was Judy. The romanian lettuce in the caesar salad had very few green
leaves mostly ends of which we could not eat. One request was for a steak well done, it came rare, it
had to be sent back. All in all we had a nice evening at the Black Angus, since it was my first time to
the restaurant and I will try it again.
first time here. food came out quick! steaks were not great, but service was good so overall i still enjoyed my meal.
Our 39th anniversary dinner was yummy as always here at Black Angus!!! We has teriyaki sirloin with crab legs and ribeye with crab legs. Yummmmy!!! So much tender succulent crab!!! A bit of work with crab but so worth it:)
Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for consistency in great steaks and now crab on their special:) all under $30 for each meal! What???? Surf and turf under $30!!! Only at Black Angus!!!
Hostess was disinterested and made us wait an absurd amount of time to get seated with no one waiting at 1230 pm, only to seat us in the bar area. Then states they only have a dinner menu and they only serve dinner here which is ridiculous being the Black Angus website shows they have a lunch specific menu. Between being seated in the bar and not having a lunch menu, something fishy is going on with some kind of money saving tactic at the customer's expense.
Good food and deserts
It was great service and food...We enjoyed our date night!
I did not received my 100 points for this dining trip. Please add my 100 points to my account. Thank You Kathy Villanueva
The coupon deal with the Steak & Free Lobster went over well in our visit at your store.
The Top Sirloin was the toppermost and the lobster was tender plus we got 2 sides!
Black Angus steakhouse is doing things right! Always a great night out !!!
It was great making reservations because we were seated very quickly. The server was good but could have given a little bit more attention but overall the service was great.
On April 7th a Sunday, myself and 7 family members went to Black Angus, San Lorenzo, Ca. The service was excellent, our server was a sweet, and professional young lady. The food was served promptly, and it was all delicious. We will be visiting again. Roz
We were especially impressed by the service that night. The food was also very good.
Black Angus is a great place to go when you are "steak-hungry". They cook it as ordered and make sure it is exactly like you want it. They have a good selection of side dishes as well. Their appetizers are fantastic, especially the fried zucchini with the cucumber sauce, and the cheesy garlic bread. Great place to dine.
Had a great time getting to know new friends better. We ate in the bar area and got to check up on the Warrior game as we ate and visited.
We each had refreshing cocktails and of course the best deal ever: campfire feast deal!!! Sooo much delicious food!!!
Our server was definitely overwhelmed it took about 20 minutes to get the bread and drinks to our table. Once the food arrived we were still missing silverware and once we were Finished eating and wanted to order dessert, he asked if he should place it in a to go Box. At that point we said yes, received our check and left. Let me also mention that the dirty dishes were all still on the table at the time of leaving.
Prime Rib was very tough.
We were seated almost immediately upon arrival, 5 minutes early for our reservation. It is definitely a smart idea to book using Open Table.
Our server, Andrea, was great. Attentive without being pesky, she seemed to know when to drop by and check on our drinks and food.
The food quality is very good. We rally enjoyed the steak quesadilla. The salad is a good size; i would say that two people could share a single salad and have enough.
The filet was very good as well, although next time I think I’ll try the rib eye for a bit more marbeling.
The desserts are shareable; the mountain chocolate cake is very large!
We do recommend Black Angus; we will be back!
I had the most hardworking waitress...I wish I remembered her name.
Love Black Angus San Lorenzo! My family been dining here sinced the late 80s until the present. I always eat prime rib and the best prime rib I go eat.
Also please note the server to remind customers bout special promos or discounts specially to the members of open table and prime club. Me, myself forgot my free dessert from the combos.
Our server Eunice that night was pretty good and very nice , pleasant and courteous. But she forgot our appetizer order of zucchini.
My daughter the bday celebrant rib eye steak needed to be returned to change. She ordered a medium rare rib eye and it came medium well. My prime rib ordered medium rare but cane medium well too. But I did not returned my prime rib bec I was starving and a long wait.
I also ordered a pound of prime rib to go and came home without horse radish and I should have check it before I left.
THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAY BACK THEN 80S AND 90S WAS SO GOOD!
COMPARE TO WHAT IS NOW.
HOPEFULLY IT WON'T HAPPEN TO ANY ONE WHAT WE EXPERIENCED ON 03/16/19.
Everything was really good! The server Kristine was really attentive and very nice! She asked us if our steaks were cooked to our liking before she left the table. We wanted them cooked a little longer, and they were brought back to us by the manager herself, with fresh sides. Very great service!! I'm definitely going back one day! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and great service!!
