Service was lacking. For a relatively empty restaurant, it still took 20+ mins for our food to come then waiting for the check took roughly 30 mins. Our server disappeared for the longest time and we had to ask other servers/busers to find her several times. Food was mediocre for the price. Overall, would not recommend.
We appreciated being greeted as we entered, and the warm welcome. We were seated right away. Not only was our server friendly, he clearly knew the dinner menu well and made some helpful suggestions. He was very attentive without intruding. The food was exceptional, from the artichoke dip to the mud pie. We both ordered steaks that were done to perfection and required no flavor enhancement. A pleasant surprise was being able to converse without straining to hear or having to shout. We will definitely come again, perhaps for brunch next time.
Service was so bad. Our order was not correct. We received our appetizer's after the meal. My daughters steak was burned and the prime rib that three people ordered was cold and over cooked. The pieces were very thin. The order of prime rib that we upgraded to the bigger size was smaller than the people who ordered the smaller size. We sat with dirty dishes on the table the whole time. We got our dessert and all the dirty dinner dishes were still there.
RESERVATION ON OPEN-TABLE WITH ADD DETAILS. USE A WALKER. WAS NOT SEATED AT A NORMAL TABLE. PUT IN THE BAR AREA WITH CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND. VERY NOSEY!!! PUT THE REQUEST ON OPEN-TABLE AND IT WAS NOT PROVIDED. ASK THE WAIT PERSON TO BE SEAT ELSEWHERE. SHE WAS RUDE. TRYED TO TALK TO MANAGER BUT HE WAS BUSY. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, WAITRESS WAS VERY GOOD BUT ANYONE ELSE FORGOT ABOUT IT!!! JUDGE FOR YOURSELF WHEN GOING HERE.
This was our fourth year to celebrate Christmas Eve at The Black Angus. We also come every
Thanksgiving. Clearly we are happy here. We gather up friends who are at loose ends so the number varies. The menu is well-rounded so I don't always have the same thing. I do have
steak more often but I am never disappointed by any meal.
We went to Black Angus for a friends night out. Great specials and cocktails. New manager introduced himself as we go there at least once a month. Very nice talking to him and our server was new but very efficient. We enjoy Black Angus because its close to home and we always have a great meal.
Went there to take advantage of the Trio Coupon Offer. It was my birthday and decided to dine out as my "Kids" were out of the country. The waitress Laura in the bar could not have been more attentive. I enjoyed the birthday greetings and special birthday dessert. Of the Trio items the only one that was not up to regular standards were the shrimp.
I had an awesome thing happen to me. A couple came in shortly before I was ready to leave, and I offered them a coupon I still had left. They thanked me and we chatted for a bit. When I gave my server my credit card, she said my check had been taken care of by that couple. I expressed my great appreciation and thanks before leaving. What a birthday!!
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner. Several of us had the turkey dinner. Others had regular entrees. The turkey was good but there was not enough gravy and the mash potatoes were cold. The dressing was average but the sweet potatoes were very good. Not bad for a surf and turf place. The appetizers were the tastiest. Service was excellent, especially considering the large number of customers in the restaurant. The booth was nice and reasonably quiet.
I went for the 20 dollar Thanksgiving turkey dinner special. Portions were a bit small. I had a reservation for 7:15. Didn't get seated until about 7:45. Food was good. Turkey was very good. Beer is off the charts expensive. Overall decent and would go again.
My experience was great. I made reservations for Thanksgiving Day, I checked in and 5 minutes later I was sitting at my table. The waitress was very nice and polite. Even though it was a holiday she wasn’t pushy or trying to rush us to order. I would definitely come back again and again for Thanksgiving. Thank you for your excellent awesome service.
I was fortunate to make a reservation a week before Thanksgiving, considering this location only unblocked that day on OpenTable recently. I normally make reservations a month in advance.
We were told we’d be seated within 25 min, even after arriving on time. Surprise! My name was called in 10 min. Theresa took care of us for Thanksgiving dinner and was friendly, polite, and accommodating. My only complaint is the portions have gotten much smaller. My sister and I both ordered broccoli with garlic butter sides and there was only one stalk of broccoli each! Smaller than the palm of my hand too. Mom’s Thanksgiving dinner still had the usual turkey slices, mashed potato, sweet potato, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and slice of pumpkin pie, soup/salad included. The table next to us also had to ask for extra gravy. Western wild rice portion decreased as well. At least the 8oz field mignons were cooked as ordered and tasted great even without A1 sauce. Lobster tails were over seasoned! Not bad to add two for $17 to any dish. Garden salads were standard— mom & dad finished both. Service was good, portions, not so much.
Thanksgiving for one is sometimes a hard thing to book. I loved the food, the service was excellent and FAST. I did not have time to read my book as I usually do in waiting for food to arrive. I took most of the food home for two more meals as there was so much of it. Everything was fresh and the plentiful. I got both dark and white turkey. I got extra veggies when I asked not to have the stuffing. They were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for casual, romantic, business and formal dining. Great for groups too! They seated very large family groups (12+!) easily. The bar was hopping and there were a number of different games on the large screen TVs. I arrived early and was seated within 5 minutes of getting there. Also, a number of walk-ins were seated without reservations. They really tried to accommodate everyone. Very friendly staff! Very generous servings.
It has been just over a year since we were last here. We certainly meant to comeback long before now. And be sure of this, we won't take so long in returning in the future. My last review of this establishment and this one are completely different. The service was outstanding! My wife and I had the Campfire Feast for Two and Daughter had the Grilled Fresh Salmon.Two Rib eye Steaks 1 well done,the other medium rare, were done to perfection. Loved those Wild West Onion Rings, very crispy, the sampler plate with the Fried Zucchini , Potato Wedges and Chicken Strips hit the mark! All the sides were great. The drinks were great too! The manager did invite us back last year but unfortunately we were not able to return in a reasonable time frame. There was a pretty good crowd tonight and as I looked around it appeared to me that everyone was happy and satisfied. Thanks...
I tried the lobster for the first time and enjoyed it! The meal was worth the price and I took most of the steak and mushrooms home, however I was disappointed with the texture of the asparagus it was a little too tough for me to digest. Of course I loved the ambiance and the course in general and I can not wait to return with some friends.
It started off well where we got seated within 2 minutes. We were able to order and our salads came out within 5-10 minutes. Then unfortunately we waited for a good 30 minutes before our main course came out. The waitress told us that the person that was delivering the food gave it away to another table or just left it with another table, therefore we had to wait for them to put another order in.
The waitress was nice, but thought that the manager that brought out the food to apologize would offer us a drink or dessert on the house, but no. I ordered medium rare, but the steak came out medium and was kind of small in my opinion, but we had already waited 30 minutes for our main course and did not want to wait any longer.
They need to get their act together, especially their back-end help, people that deliver the food. I've recently read a couple reviews of food taking quite a long time to arrive....well at least after reading this review, you will know at least one possible reason why....they gave away your order.
