Black Angus Steakhouse - San Bernardino Ratings and Reviews
Our usual Friday evening dining friends had other plans, but we went ahead and used the dinner for 2 coupon for just us 2 on Dec 1.
Coupon has possibility to over-eat and feel like you're staggering out, but we kept to starter of spinach/artichoke dip w/ baked chips, then salads and veg or onion rings for 2 sides, and salmon or grilled shrimp/rice. Asked to have dessert packaged to go
Server was very attentive, food good, area quiet -- very pleased.
Found it odd that a Steak House doesn’t offer Steak FRIES!!
Steaks were delicious, however the Medium steaks that we ordered were half medium RARE and half RARE—EACH!! Most people today wouldn’t even taste it before sending it back. THAT would be a waste that could be avoided if the steaks were prepared properly.
Went here for Thanksgiving meal and the turkey was horrible it looked like the plate was full of scraps. For the price of the food I would expect it to look and taste great. I ordered a side of broccoli and got a single piece. The waitress was very busy, understandable but they should have had additional wait staff to help accommodate the busy atmosphere. I have only eaten at a Black Angus a small handful of times and this dinning experience reminded me why I don't eat at Black Angus. My bill was approximately $100 dollars, and for that amount i expect better. Expescially when dinning out is rare for me.
I reserved on line but restaurant did not receive my request for standard table and were sending us to bar area. Changed it for us in a few minutes. I don't think the Thanksgiving meal was worth $20 and I got a big chunk of frozen mashed potatoes, not enough dressing or gravy. Son-in-law paid check for the 7 of us, so I didn't see it.
We love the Black Angus Restaurant, one of the last good steak houses. We eat here often for special occasions and have never been disappointed. The steaks are first class and the price very reasonable. Top quality food cooked to perfection. I hope the Black Angus never goes away.
I was completely disappointed. It was me and my wife's anniversary. Usually the experience is excellent. This time every part of it sucked. The waitress was forgetful, had no energy or personality. It took nearly 45 before we actually got our food and then I had to send my steak back because it was under-cooked.
We went for a business meal and stayed quite a while. We never felt pressured to leave or uncomfortable. Everyone was wonderful. First time to a steakhouse where they cooked my wife's steak right, she likes it cooked but not like the bottom of a shoe. Kudos to the chef! Everyone had steaks, which were all very good.
The only negative feedback I have is to take that spinach dip off the menu or start over with a new recipe. It was extremely greasy and the artichokes were woody. I believe they were fresh and not the pickled ones most places use. Not a good choice. The cheese was not flavorful. There was nothing edible about it, so we did not eat it. Completely different from everything else we had.
Overall, the experience was great!! I was disappointed with the Open Table reservation since it seemed like it really didn't matter if we had one. We still waited for sometime just as others did who didn't have a reservation.
Once again, the entire dinning experience was excellent.
My Husband took me and our son here for a dinner date the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was comfortable our waiter did an amazing job we will definitely becoming back here i also made reservations ahead of tim e and we did have to wait to be seated I will definitely recommend Black Angus to friends and family
Service from the waitress was good; however due to what appears to be limited staff at the restaurant, we had a wait a couple of times for boxes for our leftovers and requesting for our check stub. Ordered a medium well done steak but it came out to be extremely dry and over-cooked. Breaded shrimp was a bit salty as well.
We use this restaurant for all special occasions in our family - Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. We especially love the Campfire feast. with the wagon wheel sampler and the fudge cake it's like we're getting two meals. We always have left overs for lunch the next day. But, we really like the quiet atmosphere and the ability to converse about events going on in the family.
We had fantastic service and really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. So many restaurants build one open room with a lot of wood, glass and tile, and then crank up the music and wonder why the noise just builds and builds. Black Angus has high-backed booths and lots of carpet/fabric and other noise-dampening materials that allow for an actual conversation at the table.
Food was great as usual.
I ordered a tri tip steak and asked for medium cooked. The steak had no marination and it was tough beef. I have cooked tri tip at home, marinated and not tough. I only had a couple of bites and it was laboriously to eat it. I got a free lobster tail w/ my coupon. Prime rib is worth it.
