Black Angus Steakhouse - San Bernardino Ratings and Reviews
We normally like going to this Black Angus, but on the night we went the service was terrible. Waited forever for our food, the waitress either just ignored us, had too many tables, or just was a bad waitress overall. My prime rib was supposed to be medium rare, but it came out raw after waiting over thirty minutes for the order to arrive. Not sure I'll ever go back to this restaurant ever again. Too bad as we always liked going there.
My wife and I went to "Black Angus" for New Years Eve dinner. We have always loved their steaks, especially their Filet Mignon. We also appreciate the value when combined with a coupon promotion. This time, we had their 3 course meal with appetizer, choice of main entry each with 2 sides and a desert to share. Both, the meal and the service was excellent, not to mention the over all value after applying the coupon offer. We will definitely be back soon!
We dined here for Thanksgiving. They offered a Thanksgiving meal along with the ability to order from the regular meal. Four of the five of us ordered the Thanksgiving meal. The portions were plenty and the flavors were good. Unfortunately our food was warm rather than hot when it arrived to the table. One person had the steak soup two had garden salad. The child's plate was not offered either choice. The meal ended with a slice of pumpkin pie which was just ok. The serving sizes were ample and we all took home leftovers. The restaurant parking lot was packed full and the waiting area was standing room only. We had a two o'clock reservation and were seated on time. Service was prompt and friendly. All in all it was a decent meal at a fair price. We don't usually have holiday meals out at a restaurant but in light of a non-working house oven we choose Black Angus this year. If the need arose again, we would definitely consider returning to this location.
Had a great dinner to celebrate my grandson's birthday. Most had the trio special which included a steak, shrimp and lobster tail. All thought the food was good. As an added bonus, our server brought out a cookie skillet with ice cream and a candle to wish my grandson a happy birthday. Will definitely be back again!
It was our anniversary
Service was horrible
Food was cold
We waited 30 minutes for anyone to take our drink order
When she bought our food out it was cold she took it back
It was the worse dinner I have ever had at black angus
For now on we will go to the Ontario one
My husband and I are veterans. We took advantage of the complimentary meal and ordered a few drinks. We were seated after only a few minutes (many Veterans waiting for tables but apparently did not make a reservation) and after selecting drinks we didn't have to wait long for our entrees. We are regular customers at Black Angus so it was nice that they offered a free meal on Veteran's Day. We were very pleased with the entire experience and will be back soon.
The place had a huge line out the door for people waiting to be seated I had a reservation so was sat fairly quickly but there was about 12 empty tables on the way to our table and maybe 4 empty right next to us. I felt we were rushed to order and rushed to eat and get out
The appetizers and bread were fantastic as was the torte dessert. The new york strip wiuld have been great but they char grilled it to the point where i could no longertaste the meat just the charcoal. The waiter was neither attentive nor friendly. The atmosphere was great. The boothes had very high walls which kept sound out despite their being busy. It was a very nice evening to be able to hear my husband at the dinner table while we talked.
Ribeye was excellent! Appetizer and dessert was very good as well. Service was a lot better than the service we usually get so very big props to the service crew especially when you consider how busy it was that evening.
Drinks from the bar were very good and refreshing.
The server was great. The only problem was we received our salads, before we ever received the two appetizers we had ordered. then we received our appetizers and then the food came really quickly. Upon arrival of our salads I asked about our appetizers and the server thought that we already received them. He seemed puzzled and said he would go check the kitchen. When he came back he informed us that another table had received our appetizers and that they were making new ones. Time passed and then the manager delivered the appetizers to our table. Overall we ordered appetizers to enjoy while waiting for our food and conversing with our friends. If we would of know that we were going to receive them in a mixed up manner we would have just settled for our salads and dinner.
Negative: We sat away from the bar but the Patrons were quite loud. The happy hour specials are not available outside of the bar area. My wife's filet mignon was slightly overcooked. My chicken and ribs were a tad bit dry.
Positive: Staff were attentive. Seating was nice and cozy. Coupon makes it worth it, would not go here otherwise.
