Loved the fact that we could reserve a table on line. Everything was good, we have no complaints.
The food was good and the service was good as well.
Our waitress, Tori made this an exceptional trip.
Bad/slow service, very overcooked food (kids could not eat the chicken strips), took half a hour to get replacement meals for them, never got asked if we wanted refills, kids left without getting their dessert that comes with the meal, never asked if we needed anything, waitress walked past our table numerous times (seem short staffed/overworked). The steaks were 1/3 fat (New York Strip). For the price of the food, I would have expected something better thatn what we got. Only thing that went right was the reserved seating but the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived (4pm). By the time we left (2 hours later) it was packed and very noisy. Would not recommend this restaurant, especially for a family. Might be better if a very small party (2-3 ppl) but food still not worth the price. Most other steakhouses I've been too with comparable prices had better tasking food, bigger portions and no where near the fat on the steak.
We decided to go here tonight on a whim for dinner. We love the food and the service. It's one of our favorite places. Being able to make reservations on OpenTable makes it convenient and easy to plan a night out for dinner.
Best steak house anywhere, best beef steaks, crisp fresh salads and decadent desserts , bar none.....!
Food was amazing service was excellent,by far my favorite restaurant!! Happy birthday to me!!
As always good food and excellent/friendly servers.
We made reservations ahead of time for new years eve for a group of four. We were seated on time...food was great! Service was excellent too...thanks! Well be visiting again soon.
Good food excellent service on a very busy nite. Great job
We enjoyed our meal. Everything was tasty and portions were satisfactory. Our waitress was attentive and courteous.
The service was good but our food was over cooked and cold. Our appetizer chips tasted of burnt oil and the dip was flavorless.
We had horrible sevice this time. Waitress forgot everything and said she was sick. It was a birthday dinner so it was very disappointing.
Had reservations for 5pm. There was limited staff, so seats were ready, but couldn't be seated due to lack of staff. Had to stand in the area between the two entry doors because there were so many people waiting to be seated. It was in the 30's outside. Didn't get seated until almost 5:30. Order was not taken until 6:20. Only one server for a large area. She did the best she could do. Food was great. Having to wait to be seated, get drinks, and order was unreal (in a bad way). It took over 30 minutes to get our salads after we ordered.
We usually receive good service except this time our server was inattentive and seemed like she didn't want to be there.
I have always had good service and a great meal at Black Angus
We eat regularly here and Puyallup Black Angus is our favorite. We were disappointed with the T bone cut...thick at the T but tapered down to skinny at the bottom, so cooked unevenly. Busy Christmas Eve so we did not complain to our server. Would like to take our guest ,who had the mis-shapened t bone, here again.
Lots of food for your buck if you do the meals! Was not aware of some extra charges so that was a surprised.
Arrived 10 min late, but bypassed a bunch waiting. Had a special of lobster/steak/shrimp. Food was good for the price.
Noise level was low
This is my husband and my favorite place to come to for date night. He has his favorite meal, I like to try different menu options and I am never disappointed. The cook at this Puyallup location is just outstanding. The management is as well, greeting and introducing themselves when you arrive.
It was a nice night. The server was excellent. The food was very good. Make a reservation, it was nice pushing up about 6 people who were there first, but had no reservation. Always a nice place.
Little sevic from waitress - took drinks and food order, returned with food, returned with bill. We had to get the manager to get coffee and refils and drinks.
We come to Black Angus fairly often because of the relaxing atmosphere and great food.
However, this visit wasn't as good as most of our prior visits. At least one of the steaks was about 30% waste which was quite unusual for the Black Angus. Other than that everything went well.
We shall return.
G & B
I do not know the name of the male server we had but he was awesome! He was one of the better waiters we have had at this location.
The drink prices were high, as was the food prices. The table we were seated at (we had five people) was a bit tight and not so comfortable. Really wish we could have had a bigger table very crowded with plates glasses etc.
Everything was good pretty much, good service, good seating and timely. The 12 ounce rib steak was too thin, but the New York was good. Everything else was fine, just a little disappointed in my Denny's rib eye steak.
Had reservations that avoided the lines. Service was outstanding and we were very well taken care of. Meal was cooked to perfection.
Not busy...maybe because it was Monday. Sat in back area. Seats had funny smell like locker room. Waitress was nice. Spaced food out so everything didn't come all at once. Food proportions were good. Food server picked up my plate which still had my uneaten part of steak but did not ask me if I wanted a take home box....first time that ever happened. Received bill for larger amount than what we ordered. Had to return bill to correct that. No senior discount. With meal and tip for a two person meal came to $83. Ordered the Camp fire meal. We are regular customers and eat there about 3-4 times per month. So-so experience this particular evening.
The food was great, we had 2 people taking our order which was not good, confusing 2 people talking at once. Also I told them we were going 43 dollar campfire deal and they charged use the full 58 dollars. I should go in to get it corrected... but who has time for that.
For a Friday night, the service was actually pretty good especially since we were celebrating a couple of very special birthdays. It was hit and miss with drink refills, etc, that was completely understandable for how busy it was on an early Friday evening.
Coffee service = It took 28 minutes to achieve a single, first cup of coffee for one of the guests at our table upon our arrival to the restaurant.
Brussell sprouts and asparagus served with my meal were undercooked.
Portion size of each of the components of the turkey dinner for one of our guests was paltry - Lucky to have 2 tablespoons worth of the mashed potato and stuffing, both, as well as only 3 small slices of turkey . For the price charged - A complete rip-off, quite frankly.
All of the soups ordered by our party arrived to our table at not better than room temperature - A total of 4 bowls, of two different types of soup.
It took 35 minutes to receive the honey that was ordered by one of our guests for her hot tea beverage - We had to remind the waitress on 4 separate occasions, and it wasn't until I involved the manager until we achieved the desired end result.
My dinner arrived to the table at room temperature. As I used to work within the food industry, and had a health card, I can assure you that the Health Department would have had a field day with turkey being served in such a fashion.
To his credit, and once involved with the above mentioned scenario, the manager made sure that all of the problems were corrected to our satisfaction. Based upon our further evaluation of this, he was involved in multiple tables' issues, 'putting out fires' all night long for other patrons as well. We felt sorry / can sympathize with the poor fellow's situation, and I'm certain that he was grandly embarrassed by it. We would like it to be known that he was not to be blamed.
Despite the efforts of the manager, we were collectively, grandly disappointed, overall.
For the past 6 years or so, our family / friends have frequented the Black Angus for our Thanksgiving meal, and in the last 5 years, everything was 'above board' in all categories. This years experience, however, has lead me to the conclusion that this tradition is now over, and we will not be back.
WE arrived and were seated right away. The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious
The food was outstanding. Tried the artichoke starter and it was amazing. I had the salmon for the first time and it was cooked perfectly. The cooks here do such a great job. It was a full house and still everything was cooked to perfection. I was very impressed.
Excellent service! I had a delicious ribeye, baked potato and salad, plus drinks. Wife had a tasty filet minion, baked potato and salad, plus drinks. We were disappointed with the warm SWEET bread/appetizer, but then we prefer a rustic European style bread, sold in most U.S. grocery stores, & greatly dislike sugary, soft, American cake-like bread.
Great food, great service. An easy and delicious way to have Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving meal was delicious. Good service, the only thing was, it seemed kind of dark, but then again, it was a dark and dreary day...
My hudband and I got the Thanksgiving diner, but I wasn't as good as we expected. My daughter got the filet mignon and it wasn't as good either. Service was good though.
Great food nice and quiet we enjoyed our selves so very much and our server was the best I have ever had and I can truthfully say I have been in a lot of nice places this was by far top of the list. We will be back.
Steak was very good.
It was crowded and confined. I could feel the stress of the staff and people. The wait to get a table was 90 minutes. I reserved a table so it was only 10 minutes for us.
It was ok but I won't go there often.
will plan all future gatherings for my family here
We had very good service the waiter was excellent can't remember his name (nice black man) we have had him before gives great service the food was great love black angus for a great dinner
