Friday night is our date night and we love spending it at Black Angus! Our server tonight, Shawna, was wonderful! The meals we had were off the chain! See you next Friday!!

Let's make no mistake....this is corporate food. But it's pretty good corporate food and they're usually very consistent as well. I am a member of whatever club thing they run which means I almost always have a discount on the Campfire Feast for 2....which we promptly negate by upgrading all over the place. All in for dinner for 3 last night (no drinks) was $125 - which for a steak dinner is really pretty reasonable these days. The fried zucchini appetizer remains my favorite thing on the menu - has been for years. I usually get the ribeye which was not up to par last night...tender enough but lacking in taste. The wait staff are pretty attentive - our waitress had a large party at another table but she still kept our drinks full and we weren't left waiting. We have to drive from Tacoma to Puyallup to eat here so it's perfect having them on Open Table so we don't have to wonder if we'll be waiting or not.

Excellent service and wonderful food as always! Holley took great care of us and everything was amazing! Soup was very full and tasty. Steak and Salmon were cooked perfectly. We will be back for more!

We normally love our experience at Black Angus but last night it was just blah. My husband had the 20oz diamond cut prime rib and 1/3 of it at least was fat and grissle which we know prime rib has some fat but that seemed more than normal and I had the shrimp which was fine but my favorite au gratin potatoes tasted off like they were sour. The salt had black flecks in it that we just hoped were pepper but you couldn't really tell. Our service staff was busy so not as attentive as we are used to but everything came timely so no complaints there but for the amount food prices are it just was hard to pay so much for a meal we didn't really enjoy. We tried to find the manager to talk to them but were unable to do so. It just will be awhile before we give Black Angus a try again.

It was my husbands birthday and our anniversary too. I made a reservation and it asked any special reason, I wrote it was my husbands birthday. The girls at the front wished him a Happy Birthday. We get to our table and 10 minutes go by before our waitress shows up. We put in our drink order and another 5 to 8 minutes we get our drinks. I asked for bread and was told when we put in our order we will get bread, we were told that our appetizer’s were just about up. I get the sampler and there are 3 normal shrimps 1 weirdly mangled shrimp and one tiny baby shrimp. The chicken tenders were so overdone I couldn’t bite down it hurt. The waitress doesn’t say anything, she seen the plate. We get our dinner and the loaded mashed potatoes had the hardest thickset bacon pieces that I couldn’t chew. They were rock hard. The ribeye was good but super thin. The waitress didn’t talk to us ask us was there a special occasion nothing. I finally at the end of dinner and when she asked us what dessert we wanted did I say it was his birthday and our anniversary, the waitress then said yes I read that in the notes. Really really!! It is a Tuesday night, it wasn’t that busy. What a waste of time and money. Thanks for not such great night. Ashley be better
