The service most of the time is good. The food is good but not excellent. Many of the staff knows us and we are treated very well. We have ate at many of the Black Angus stores including some that are no longer open so we are very familiar with the BA. Over the past 15 years we have eaten at The BA over 200 times. Jenny Salazar and Dani Morrison are 2 of our favorite BA people./
Food was late in coming to the table due to a mixup in the kitchen. The server and manager explained the situation - it provided more time us to catch up what happened since the last time we were together.
This is an old staple in Phoenix. Great central point and good food and a good value. The booths are semi private for conversations such as business meetings and such. Old style steakhouse, although a chain, still very good.
Food was fantastic and service fast
We waited 20 minuites and never were greeted so we left.
My wife and I celebrated her Birthday at Black Angus. We had the best waiter and the food was amazing. It was in a Saturday night and the mood was perfect for our celebration. Thank you.
Service was slow. Restaurant was empty for a Friday night.
We were seated in the bar with TV and more noise than expected for a nice occasion with family.
Steak was tough. They credited out bill for it. Prime rib and lobster special for mother's day was very good.
We appreciated Aroura's kind attention and service. She was a great waitress! The food was top notch as ususal!!
Lunch at Black Angus was an excellent experience. Tony, our waiter, was extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. Food was delicious! Ambience was perfect. We requested a quiet location and were successful I would definitely recommend Black Angus to family and friends.
Very friendly staff. Food was awesome except my filet mignon was a little over cooked. But, I would go back.
I ordered the green beans as ine of the side dishes with my entree. Many of them were pale green and yellow. I didn't say anything. I wouldn't serve these to any of my guests. I wouldn't purchase these o serve to anyone.
Very nice restaurant, good food and not to pricey
I go to a lot of steak restaurants. Honestly, the steak here was not so good. I have probably been to Black Angus 20 plus times but it had been awhile. We had a sirloin, a strip, a rib eye and prime rib and none of it was impressive. Spend a little more and get a good steak elsewhere. Service was fine and ambience ok.
We had an amazing meal and our server was outstanding! 5 Stars!
The food was great except the green beans, for some reason they were tough, hard to eat. Other than that GREAT WAIT STAFF!! The rest of the food EXCELENT!!!
Getting this reservation on a busy Saturday night was the best part. No problems and got right in with a crowd of people waiting. Service was exceptional and food was great. Used coupon for free lobster with any steak for our whole table.
We visited on a busy Saturday night at primetime 5:00PM and fortunately had a reservation. We were seated promptly and immediately met by our waiter Richard. We ordered drinks from the bar right away but unfortunately they took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. This is the only glaring weakness of this place as we dined here several times before with the same problem- the bartender must be asleep.
My wife and I dined on steaks which were perfectly cooked and arrived hot. The honey bread is delicious and the garden salad we ordered was plentiful and fresh. They have probably the best home made honey mustard dressing I have ever tasted! We saved some room for dessert and shared a large slice of carrot cake. We wished it would have been served at room temperature as opposed to being ice cold which diminished its flavor.
All in all, a pleasant and reasonably priced dinner with just a few minor hiccups....The food makes us come back over and over!!!
Our family was on vacation and I always look for a restaurant that is different than where we could eat at home. We don't have a Black Angus in our town and haven't visited one before.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience there. The bread was delicious and so were the zucchini appetizers! Our server was quick to refill our sodas and our food was delivered hot and looked as appetizing as it tasted. It was one of the best steaks we have had in a long time. We loved the western decor and how the booths were rounded and fit our party of 5 easily and were padded to keep the noise from traveling!
Definitely a winner!
Driest, least flavorful prime rib, my wife and I have ever had. Also the most expensive. Service was great though!
I love the food here. I take out of town guests to Black Angus because the food it tasty and it is a decent price. I usually use a coupon and gift cards from a local grocery. Lots on the menu to appreciate!
I always like Black Angus for its atmosphere. I like the semi-private settings which make each table seem separated from the others. The food is always great; I had the tri-tip steak with lobster tail. Lots of good leftovers for another day. Portion sizes are reasonable.
Food was great but the service was kinda slow. The lemon poppyseed cake was AWESOME!!!!
The food was outstanding, as was the service. My lobster was overcooked, but as soon as I advised our waiter, it was replaced. The mac and cheese and potatoes au gratin were absolutely delicious.
Black Angus is always friendly and the service is superb. The "rack of lamb" was done perfect.
Have always loved this place. Get tired of NOISY Texas Roadhouse, etc.
Nice to be able to talk, relax, etc.
Have ALWAYS loved the high back booths.
A tad more spendy but not much more for better food.
We were seated in the bar on a Sunday. Wasn't too crowded or busy... such a shame since we all liked our food. Best cooked top sirloin I've had in awhile and others in our party had fish and combo dishes... all good. A bit pricey for entrees. Our service was great... young waitress but good combination of energy, service, humor and selling. Overall, enjoyed it, but I think they're pricing themselves out of the market.
Our server had 15 people Sat after us. She was as attentive as she could be. Friendly and came to check in with us. Service is always slow here but our good company and other staff were super friendly.
Food wAS GREAT,NOT HAVING TO COOK ON MY BIRTHDAY WAS WONDERFUL. David is a good/great server.
The service we received from our waiter Justin was outstanding. Appetizers and salads were delicious - steaks were cooked exactly as we requested and were fantastic.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. My waiter remembers me and what I'd like to eat.
I go to this Black Angus when ever I am in Phoenix (I come every year for spring training). I always receive outstanding service and the food is very good. On this visit I tried the BBQ salad and was very surprised at how good it is. Will probably order that the next time I go there
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The food was amazing and there was a ton of it. There is no quarrel with the value I received for my money. But the service I received was poor, I believe die to the fact that I was using a coupon that had to be presented upon ordering. I watched my server's attitude do a total flip the second she saw it and the service was terrible from then on.
It was pretty cold in the restaurant. Marred a great dining experience but good food and great service
Service was slow. Waitress kept forgetting things. They didn't get our order right. The cocktails were nasty tasting.
Went here on Valentine’s Day with a reservation for 8pm. We were not seated until 8:40pm and did not get our food until an hour later which at that point it was cold and didn’t really taste right. I understand that they were really busy for the holiday but food should be hot when it arrived at your table, not like it’s been sitting there a long time without a heat lamp. It was also frustrating making a reservation but still having to wait as long as someone walking in to put their name on the list. We will not be back.
This was our first valentines date in 22 years. We went out for the first time since our kids grew up. We were really disappointed don't know if we will go back or just stick with Texas Roadhouse.
This particular Black Angus has become our go to place for special occasions and just general going out to dinner. Their menu choices and food selections are amazing, the staff is friendly and customer service driven. Wonderful experience every time!
