Black Angus Steakhouse - Phoenix Metro Ratings and Reviews
Our original plans fell thru and we decided to have dinner at Black Angus. While looking up the phone number to make a reservation, I noticed the opentable app. I followed the steps and was able to have a reservation confirmed in minutes for a table for 6 45 min later on a Friday night. The server was great, friendly and joked with us. Other staff members talked to us as they passed by. We had a birthday cookie for dessert. It was an extremely wonderful evening.
We had a lovely dinner at black angus steakhouse. The food and the service were excellent. Our only complaint was that it took a very long time for everything to come to the table. We were there over two hours. It's a good thing we planned on a long evening.
I made reservations in advance due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Although the parking lot was crowded and many people were waiting to be seated when I entered, I had a short wait of less than 10 minutes. The staff was polite and friendly. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. The Thanksgiving dinner was reasonably price. There was enough seating for everyone waiting and the noise level was low enough to have a good conversation with your company. I was given a good seat.
We truly enjoyed our visit to Black Angus. Food was perfect. The Thanksgiving meal was a great deal, and the taste was great. The atmosphere was very nice, as we didn't hear talk from other tables and were able to enjoy our own conversations. Our reservation worked out well and we were seated right on time. Loved the total experience. Thank you.. We will return next year.
We went to Black Angus for our anniversary and enjoyed our evening. You must get a Filet if you love tender, flavorful steaks. Wonderful bread and Ceasar salads could fill you up before your meal if you're not careful. Great service and reasonable (not cheap) prices.
Fifteen to twenty minutes to get bread. No dishes, glasses, silverware or napkins on the table. After twenty minutes of staring at the bread with no way to eat it, I found another waiter to gives us napkins and silverware.
The steak was horrible. Almost uneatable, it had sinew running all through the meat.
Well, we did surely enjoy our meals when we came there to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. I should have taken the waitress' advice though, and ordered 2 appetizers for our group, instead of only one....my only suggestion is to call those making reservations on line to check if they like the quiet booths or the bar area...they had us set up for the bar area, and that is totally not us....they patiently changed our spot, but it meant my part of setting things up was not finished when our group arrived...that put pressure on me. A simple call from you to assure our desire would have aliviated that...but, we had a great time, and will certainly be open to coming back for another special occasion in future. You have a word minimum, or I wouldn't have given you the 'advice' to call to be sure of seating desirability....we LIKE your restaurant very much. Your food is so well prepared, and the booths with high backs are just wonderful.
Our dinner was a nice and our food was great. The only problem we were seated in a booth and the lights were bright over the table. It felt as though we were being interrogated in a room with the bright light. Had the lights been toned down a bit it would have been 100% better. Other than that everything was great!!
I've eaten at Black Angus last week and this week. The first week I had surf & turf. Outstanding!!! The server was lacking in courtesy. It was my birthday celebration and a birthday song was requested and the waitress said they don't sing anymore. YET only moments later the servers were singing t9 not one but two different tables.
The second visit my girlfriend and I had a beautiful steak. Our server, Danni, was over the top. Danni, if she is there when we return, will be my/our server. Danni deserves a raise!
If we have another less coyrtious server I will ask for another server.
I asked for a gluten free menu (it was pathetic) it has a disclaimer on it stating it does not guaranty that there isn't gluten in their food. The fillet had no taste. the shrimp was over cooked, and then to top it off it was so expensive for what you received. Never again!!
We were seated promptly in our favorite booth. Our Server, Katie, was a delight. She had served us on a prior visit and remembered us, which makes you feel special. The Manager came by to see how everything was, so that was impressive also. As usual, the salmon is one of the best in Phoenix.
We love going to Black Angus Steakhouse, was disappointed when they closed all but two locations in Phoenix. We went to the Metro Center location to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent but there were a couple of hiccups along the way.
I made my reservation online through OpenTable, I included a note that requested a table because of one of the guests in our party is in a wheelchair. The booth set up at Black Angus means he has to sit at the end of the table and that puts him in the aisle, he feels as if he is in the way. When we got there the hostess had no knowledge of this request and although the reservation was for 5 people, they were not prepared for us when we got there. There was a lot of last minute scrambling to set our table up.
Three of us arrived first, the other guests arrived about 5 minutes after we were seated. Even though we had checked in using the name the reservations were under, when the guests asked if we were here yet, the two hostesses, who had just spent 5 minutes setting up a table for 5 for our party (complete with wheelchair guest), said we were not there yet. We saw them standing in the lobby, had to bring them to our table.
The service was a little slow as well. Our server disappeared for minutes at a time and we did not have enough table settings for all of the guests in our party. Since this is one of the times our server went missing, so my son went in hunt of the needed place settings. Another guest had to go to the bar to get glass of water he had ordered when he ordered drinks but didn't get.
When we got our food it was great as always. I think they might need to do a refresher course on paying attention to details.
I was not terribly impressed with anything there. The food was alright and the service was very sub par. It was late at night and there wasn't a single person in line and it sill took 10 min to be seated. Then the wait time for the food was about 30-40 minutes and we were maybe 1 of 4 tables. Way too pricey for the food. Definitely wouldn't go there if we didn't have a gift card.
Had dinner with old friends. Service was very good. We were there quite a while and never felt rushed. Black Angus isn't "Ruth Chris" but prices are reasonable and the food is quite good. Coupons are available for their Campfire special and it's a great deal for two. We go often and they really know how to prepare steak. We always order medium rare and it's always been perfect. Many "finer" restaurants fall short in steak preparation.
I was a little disappointed they didn't offer a birthday dessert for my husband. I ordered the platter. The chicken tasted bad. That is probably my favorite part of the platter and I had to send it back. My husband told me I was a picky eater. He then took a bite of the chicken and said it was bad. Neither one of us ate it. I had potato soup. As always that was really good.
We arrived early and were still seated right away. Seated in a booth with light shining directly down on the table. Asked for something a bit less lit. Server moved us but when I asked about another booth we were told it wasn't in his section, so we just stayed. It was a bit better but the ambiance wasn't.
It was a while before we got our food, because the restaurant didn't seem nearly as busy as we've seen it at other times and we'd both finished our soda and tea before we were asked if we'd like refills. Saw our server at our table maybe 2 times.
The food, however, was superb,
