I brought my family and Dad for his birthday and he loved it! Our server Dave was great. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Good food. A little understaffed. Overall I would say it was good.
Good food, good selection, excellent service. Booths are quiet. Specials definite value with good choices fr entrees and appetizers.
Service was great! Server was attentive and even brought a bit of humor to the experience. Food was OK. Seemed to sit in the window longer than necessary to provide hot rather than tepid food. Restaurant is seeing some age. The seats were torn in the booth and the décor could use some updating. One person in our party wondered if the bottles at the bar had ever been dusted. With this being one of three steakhouses within walking distance of each other, it would seem that atmosphere is not a priority. Thankfully service is the great!
As always, Black Angus never disappoints! Great deals with Happy Hour all day on Sunday.
Friendly server.good food. Will go back. Richard was great.
One of our favorite stops. Had out of town guests. Went there for dinner and drinks. Service and food always excellent.
The food was pretty good, but not quite worth the price. There was no life in the restaurant. The atmosphere was very dull and sat on a seat with a large rip. I only answered yes on the above question, as the food was pretty good. Other than that, I would not recommend to a friend.
Food was ok but nothing special and service matched the food
The timing of food delivery. The artichokes as the appetizer and the entrees were within 3-4 minutes of each other.
The food was great. The server was curtious. It was a very relaxing evening!
Our server Bailey was very attentive and accomodating
My sister and I ate at Black Angus MetroCenter in support of Special Olympics on the Tip a Cop event. We’ve been longtime customers of Black Angus. Dinner was the Campfire Feast with the Wagonwheel appetizers, I had a 6 oz Filet & my sister had a Ribeye, & she took home a piece of NY cheesecake.
The food as always was delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was really a fun night to be there with the MCSO deputies paired with servers and a great cause to support.
Enjoyed every minute! When we're in the area again, we will be back!
We enjoy going to black angus, food atmosphere, a d service are all very good. We went to celebrate our anniversary. It would be nice if when celebrating an occasion that if we wanted a different dessert that we could get the cookie credit toward something else instead.
Excellent food and service! My favorite restaurant.
Date night with my wife. The hostess was warm and friendly and seated us right away. We were sat near two sets of whiny crying children (beyond their control). Our appetizer of shrimp cocktail was over cooked and dry, my wife could not finish hers. The drinks we slow out of the bar but very good. Our dinners came out fairly quick but my steak (sirloin) was WAY over cooked. I asked for as rare as they could serve it and it was barely pink, more medium then very rare. My wife’s had to get medium rare prime rib as they were already out of rare at 7pm on a Friday. It could have had more seasoning and came with small cups for dipping au jus and creamy horseradish (should be bigger to dip the whole bite of steak). The bill did not have happy hour pricing but waitress fixed the bill when asked.
I have eaten at Black Angus many times. The experience is always the same. Great service, good quality food at a reasonable price, and because I am hearing impaired, quiet as the have many booths that help isolate sound.
We've been eating at this location since the 70's back when it was a pretty upstanding place for special occasions etc. Since the chain has passed through so many hands it really is nothing more than a Denny's that serves steak! How said that it lost its potential to be the heavy hitter that it once was. Not a big fan of spending good money only to be put near the clanging & bright light of the kitchen entrance or seeing a couple across the isle in T-shirts & flip flops then seeing the illumination of a cell phone. If I didn't get a 30% off of the entire bill coupon we probably wouldn't have went. By the way were not cheap people and even tip on the original amount plus some. The waitress was great and upbeat which made things really roll. Would really like to see the prices charged reflect some of the ambiance that it once had though. As far as the food goes, The fries have been all over the place over the decades when the original steak fry is all that was ever needed since the beginning. They are now what is called a coated fry that has been lacquered up to stay hard with a coating similar to Griswalds cereal varnish or crunch enhancer! The filet mignon is no longer marbled thick and tender, more like a pork chop even when served medium. Iceberg lettuce is no longer in the salad and when they find a top notch vinaigrette or Italian dressing of a sort it gets yanked? The current bread is good but have missed the old sourdough also from long ago. So what's left? That's what we ask ourselves every time we come out the door and feel as though a bag was yanked over our head. Maybe it's that fact that were natives of the area, am creatures of habit and remember the good times we had that we hope may come back? My advice to the current owners.... Don't ever pass a company down the line that had traditions and then keep the same name if Your Hearts aren't in it to the fullest extent. You might want to find a more suitable name for the damage you've caused to the chain?
With several steak houses in the area Black Angus still provides a quiet atmosphere with a pleasing menu.
Always great food at great price but last visit the waitress was board line bad.
I do like the idea of reserving a table at a certain time. When we arrive hey ask my wife two for dinner and She said yes, as they started to take us to table I mention we have reservations for 7:45 PM. We were seated in the bar area, I rather have been seated in the main dining area. Why ask for the information on open table where you want to be seated if you’re not going to look at the reservation i entry on online. I also mentioned that it was my wife’s 68th birthday, very disappointed !! My wife’s entrée that she order was supposed to be medium rare instead it was well done, again disappointed. They did send it back and make the corrections, by then I was on almost done with my meal. Oh well live and learn.
Arrived after 8pm. Waiter seemed tired and grumpy and voiced this too. Food was very good and was timed well. They replaced a soup that arrived cold without question.
I have been dining at this location for 21 years. The food and atmosphere have always been consistently good. The service has always varied, the last few years it has been declining. This is also apparent in the restaurants declining amount of business. There was a time when a reservation or a 20+ minute was required to get a table. Recently a walk in and immediate seating is available. Good for diners, bad for the business. This last visit the service was slow. Slow to bring our drinks, horribly slow on refills. I ordered my steak medium, it arrived rare. My girlfriend ordered hers medium rare, hers arrived blood rare. Rather than waiting another 20 minutes, we ate them as delivered. Once a steak is off the grill and cooling, putting it back on the grill will only sear the outsides and dry the meat. One of the sides was missing from my girlfriend's meal when the dinner was delivered. We called the waiter on this and he acknowledged directly. 5-7 minutes later the side was placed on the table cold.
I do not know if the problem is with the server not ordering food correctly, or the kitchens inability to prepare it as ordered. As for the slow service; lack of training, lack of effort, lack of concern by management, I can't say, bit it was reflected in the tip we left.
Steve was an AMAZING waiter. All of our requests were taken care of and everything tasted wonderful
Other than a lamb chop fiasco a couple of years ago we have always enjoyed our dining experiences at Black Angus !!
As always, everything was perfect, the service as we had a very nice waiter, the food and beverage was delicious.
My husband and I had really did enjoy the food. The service was excellent!
Awesome service by our waiter, Steve. Great special dinner.
We were very disappointed with the quality of the prime rib. Also, we had a phone coupon for a discount on the two dinners that was not taken off our check, costing us an extra $30 for the four of us. Sadly we didn’t check bill before paying. We won’t be returning to Black Angus.... it’s just not worth the money.
It was real nice, fast and friendly service our waitress was very attentive.
Food was great. Server could have been more attentive. We sat down no water was offered. We had to ask for it when our food arrived. A person in our party waited almoat 10 mine for a drink. For a first time experience i was not very imppresed. For what you pay for the food in there the service should have been more spot on.
They couldn't get my steak cooked right. They went up on prices for mothers day and not allowed to use coupon on that day.won't be back
Camphouse Feast coupons bring us in once a month....however the money we "save" goes towards wine. Great food and service every time!!
Poor service, slow and restaurant had few clients. We waited forever for the drinks, but matters worsened. The dinner was steak and lobster tail. The dinner was served without the lobster tail! No excuse for this as the waiter immediately took the coupon when we sat down.
This Black Angus is right next to two other steak houses. We prefer Black Angus by far because of the quiet ambiance. We love the high booths and you can actually have a peaceful delicious dinner with great service!
Good place to meet old friends and have a great visit over lunch.
Need more allergen free menu choices, especially gluten, dairy, eggs and soy which are among the top 8 allergens causing 90 percent of allergic reactions. Need to use less ice in mixed drinks. My margarita was 75 percent ice!
Good food and polite competent staff. I’m very fussy about how my meat is cooked and when I say “rare” I mean it. They have done it right every time I’ve been there.
I had revived their ad with the campfire Feat coupon in the mail. When Joe and I had finished some computer projects Saturday we decided to go out for dinner at Black Angus. As usual the food was superb. It was a quiet Saturday night and we probably didn't need to reserve in advance but did so anyway. Our waitress was attentive and we thoroughly enjoy the meal.
