This is the first time I actually go on to write a review about my experience. I don't consider myself to be a food critic of any nature but after my experience at this restaurant, I wanted to share.

I went on open table and made a reservation to take my family of 6 out for a bite to eat. The appointment was set for 7:30pm, once we arrived, we noticed that our time was not to be honored. We did not get seated until 8:15pm.

After sitting down almost a hour late (no big deal, they were very busy) it took our waiter about 30 minutes to get our order and serve us water.

It took 1.5 hours for us to get our food! And once we got it, all of the plates were cold and it looked like they were microwaved. The food had no taste and the service was not pleasant at all.

I apologized to my mom, that I took her home after 10:30pm, 3-hours later for food that wasn't good and cold. She had a great heart and told me it was the thought that counted, and I'm not here to bash Black Angus. But I am here to say, it won't be a good idea for you to go to Black Angus on any major holiday as they are not prepared to host that amount of people or even to turn customers away if they do not have the room. I was disappointed from a management stand point, not the staff.

There were not bad waiters, there were bad managers.

Sorry Black Angus :( Not my intention to talk bad. I just did not enjoy the experience at all.

Not a place to go on a holiday as the staff was not at the full crew and appeared to be a little ill-prepared to handle a large number of diners waiting to be seated. Even with an online reservation, it took 41 minutes to be seated. Then 20 minutes for a server to arrive. After ordering, the food arrived 57 minutes later. I was so perturbed that I only left a 5% gratuity. Never going back there on a holiday again.

Cane here for mothers day last year and it was a great experience so we decided to come back this year, unfortunately its was about 180 degrees from last year. Made a reservation but still had to wait an hour to be seated, then after ordering we waited another hour for our food to come out and it was crap. Half the plates were cold and the ones that weren’t were undercooked and very obviously rushed. The day was supposed to be about making my mom happy for mothers day and she left very disappointed. Very unlikely to return.

Horrible! After making a reservation in advance and me and my family looking forward to a delicious steak and baked potato meal all day. We checked in at 6, 15 minutes BEFORE our reservation and were told they were running 40 minutes behind!! I was so disappointed. That’s where I chose to go for Mother’s Day. We had movie tickets and couldn’t wait. Plus everyone had saved their appetite and were famished. We left and ate somewhere else. My whole family was very disappointed to say the least.

I had reservations for mother’s day, and yes I understand mother’s day is always busy. However, had to wait an extra 45min after my reservations to be seated. If a restaurant is not prepared for the overflow than don’t allow for so many reservations at the same time frame.
Service wasn’t great, I get that it was busy, but a refill every 20min would be nice. Perhaps the restaurant should’ve staffed better (especially since they knew it would be busy).
Food came out cold orcooked incorrectly than brought back over cooked and burned. The highlight was that at least that one meal was free.
I would not recommend this location on busy holidays... they can’t handle the additional business/pressure

We had a reservation here for Mother's Day at 4 PM. We have eaten here on Mother's Day a few times before with no issues and eat here quite regularly on non-holidays. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told that they were running behind. We were seated at 4:15 PM which wasn't too bad considering it was Mother's Day. However, we were seated in the bar area. It was so loud in there we literally had to yell to try and talk to each other. The reason I chose Black Angus instead of some of the restaurants that are closer to us is because it is usually quieter and I wanted a relaxing dinner. It was anything but relaxing unfortunately. My daughter had to get to work and so we were a little stressed for time but figured 2 hours for dinner should be more than enough. We were wrong. Our server was pleasant and friendly but was not attentive. It took her more than 20 minutes to take our order. My husband ordered a wedge salad that for the first time in his life, couldn't eat. He said it was full of ice and soggy. The server didn't return to our table for another 20 minutes after it was brought out so we weren't able to let her know so it could be replaced. Fortunately, this was the only issue we had with food quality. The main issues we had were eating in the bar area because it was extremely loud. The service was very slow. Many times we did not see our server for almost a half an hour and finally everything took very long to come out, drinks, appetizers, salads and our dinner. It was close to 2 hours from the time we sat down to the time we finally received our dinner. My daughter thankfully had taken her own car and had to leave shortly after the food arrived. It definitely wasn't our best experience with Black Angus. My advice is do not sit in the bar area if you want a relaxing, quiet dinner.

Black Angas is one my wife’s favorite restaurant, we had reservations this Sunday Mother’s Day at 230, we were told they were running behind about 15 minutes. It wasn’t NO 15 minutes it was an 1 hour. We were seated an hour later, we ordered our food n that took another hour. I know it’s Mother’
Day, but what’s the purpose of having a reservation when u still have to wait.

I had the full rack of Baby back ribs . They were overcooked and extremely dry. I usually get the BBQ chicken and ribs and have been pleased with the ribs. I guess everyone has a bad day.

we liked the clean restrooms; this is always a plus for a return visit.

I was extremely disappointed in the service. Extremely slow. Other tables seated after us in other sections had visibly better service.
We didn’t get any bread til after our meals arrived and had to request it twice.
It was for sure a busy night and we did not expect “Johnny on the spot” service. But we should not have had to ask twice for bread and then not get till our meal was brought to us.
My cut of meat did not taste like a filet. Thought it was more similar to sirloin. Didn’t not complain because it was still a good steak and how busy Place was. And how long service was taking.

Well to start, the waiter brought hard, stale bread to the table. My wife ordered a ribeye w/ a lobster tail and I ordered sesame teriyaki chicken all which were over cooked and partially cold. I must say, I was disappointed. It was my first time back to Black Angis in a few years now I remember why I stop going.

We saw the manager coming out with food and taking it to the wrong tables the whole time we were there. Must have been his first day. Our waiter brought us an item we didn't order and tries to leave it with us any way. We had to tell him no we didn't like it. Saw him do it to a few other tables too. I don't know what's happening to that place.

Even with a reservation we had to wait and then we were seated in a booth in the bar area. So loud it was ridiculous and the service was horrible! The food was warm at best and we had to send back numerous items to be reheated. The server also forgot a portion of our food. Biggest waste of time and money.

The food was excellent; we had the Campfire Feast For Two which offered more than enough food for two. The booth was comfortable and cozy and our server was very attentive and cheerful. I believe I heard music so it wasn't overpowering and didn't disrupt our conversation. We will return again soon.

Decided to have the steak and lobster tail deal and it was worth it! My top sirloin was cooked perfectly medium rare. The lobster tail was a good size and cooked well. My Cesar salad was delicious too. Never get tired of the molasses bread before my meal. Started with an Old Fashioned and it was perfect. Good job guys!

As always, the food at Black Angus was excellent. However, even though we had a reservation through Open Table, they didn't ask us but at first seated us in the bar which was so noisy we couldn't hear our own conversation. We had to find the hostess to ask her to re-seat us. At the very least we should have been asked if we wanted to sit in the bar before just taking us there.

However, after that, it was a pleasant experience, and the server in the main dining room was much easier to find than the server in the bar.

We celebrated a friend's 65th birthday. Had our reservations and were seated right away. Friendly staff at the front desk as well as the wait staff. Our waiter was wonderful. Very accommodating. First thing they asked after bringing out the food was to make sure they were cooked properly and he waited for us to check. Mine was not and he immediately took it back to rectify. The manager brought the 2nd one out to apologize and make sure the 2nd one was correct. As long as a place attempts to correct what might have been wrong, I have no issues. We'll be back for sure.
