Black Angus Steakhouse - Northridge Ratings and Reviews
Hi. I've been busy. That day was my daughter's 25th birthday. Nice reception. The lady allowed me to bring in the balloons and asked if I want the crew to sing for my daughter which I think they forgot. Understandable tho. It's just sad that my other daughter lost one piece of her earings (loop). Will call Black Angus' lost and found. Thanks.
Overall there is no question that we were dissatisfied with our meal. It took more than 1/2 hour to just get our appetizers and the entrée itself was inadequate. I ordered a New York steak that looked like a thin piece of meat pre-packaged at a restaurant. My wife and son ordered the fillet mignon and were not impressed. Most of all, our waitress was inattentive and slow. We were disappointed to say the least and will not be coming back again.
We were in the area visiting and getting a table for 5 at the last minute wasn’t an issue.
The food was fabulous. Everyone ate the filet and all were cooked as requested and VERY tender.
Dessert was really good also. The white chocolate cheesecake was out of season - which I was hoping for- but we had the brownie with ice cream which fed 3 of us easily and the New York cheesecake which was perfect for 2.
Recommend to anyone considering this place and would go again.
New Years eve with great courtesy and service by the staff. They even honored the coupons for a dinner including shrimp, lobster and steak. Of the four steaks, two were overcooked but corrected without fanfare. Quality shrimp and lobster with three steaks being of very good quality and the fourth being chewy and tasteless and obviously of commercial or a lesser grade in quality.
There are places much better than this place. The food is decent usually. The silverware is OFTEN not clean. Friends like to go here, so I often go, but it is never my first choice. This week the server was excellent. Food decent - standard fare, nothing very interesting. Wine glasses are also often not very clean.
Perhaps our experience was a bit disappointing due to it being Christmas Eve but our food took over an hour to arrive to our table. My dish was a sandwich and it was over cooked and dry chicken. Had to pick out the chicken and just eat the bun with whatever else came in the sandwich. Another person from our party said her veggies were cold. I wish we could have at least received a complimentary drink or offer because of the long wait but nothing.
Absolutely delicious! Black Angus is always consistent with their food. It's cooked right, fresh and tasty! The Campfire for two is a great choice. You share an appetizer and the dessert, and you each get your own choice of entrees with 2 sidekicks. Plenty of food to satisfy your hunger. Our waitress suggested a new dessert which was not on the menu yet. White chocolate cheesecake with raspberry cranberry topping...Divine! Make a reservation, you won't be disappointed! Bon appetit!
We had a small pre-Christmas dinner to exchange presents. Our booth felt a little remote; away from the more “alive” part of the restaurant. This isn’t a complaint, just an observation. I thought the food was great (based on my dish), and nobody had anything negative to say. So I’m happy. Craving mashed potatoes and gravy now!
We have appointment at 6 pm, traffic was heavy during Christmas season, so, we called the restaurant that we will be late for a few minutes.
We actually arrived at 6 pm even tho we thought we were going to be late, we had to wait 15 minutes to get our table, according to the host, they are setting up our table even tho we have a reservation. ( I didn’t get the point not being setup our table.
Other than that, our server was excellent, his name is Daniel, the food was great as always. My meat was cooked right and do as my other guests steaks.
Overall, it was enjoyable dinner at Black Angus.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our dining experience. The host was helpful. Reservations were easy to make and fulfilled promptly. Our waiter was excellent and friendly and helpful in answering questions. The food was also good. A solid place to have a nice mid-priced evening out.
