Black Angus Steakhouse - Northridge Ratings and Reviews
Was not impressed tri tip was dry my meal came cold and not the way it was ordered my drink the mijito was terrible I only drank a quarter of it the water was the best part of my meal I really do not like to fuss about food but for an $80 dinner it wasn’t worth it I would not recommend this location the hostess were great and accommodating I wish I could get my money back sorry guys a 3 out of 10 rating.
I frequently several different Black Angus restaurants throughout the year. Recently, at the Northridge location, I met a friend for dinner and we both had the steak/prawn special. The prawns were great however, the steak was so tough I was unable to finish it. We had a booth in the back which was quiet and we were able to "catch up" on family and friends. The service was quite good but I would say, other locations have been better.
It was a very busy night, be we got seated on time for the reservations made, however the service was slow and the waitress barely came around, I think they were understaffed this night, so not putting blame on waitress. We barely made it to our movie on time, and had to get the dessert to go (part of the campfire deal or we wouldn't have bothered getting dessert). The food was excellent as always.
We dine here frequently. The food was good. Chicken dishes were OK and portions were ample. Boneless and skinless chicken breasts tend to be dry if overcooked. Our service this evening was not satisfactory. It took over 30 minutes for salad to be served and the entire meal took over 2 hours. Our server was very friendly and courteous but not attentive. It seemed like he needed two assistants who came to our table several times to apologize for the delays.
Hi. I've been busy. That day was my daughter's 25th birthday. Nice reception. The lady allowed me to bring in the balloons and asked if I want the crew to sing for my daughter which I think they forgot. Understandable tho. It's just sad that my other daughter lost one piece of her earings (loop). Will call Black Angus' lost and found. Thanks.
Overall there is no question that we were dissatisfied with our meal. It took more than 1/2 hour to just get our appetizers and the entrée itself was inadequate. I ordered a New York steak that looked like a thin piece of meat pre-packaged at a restaurant. My wife and son ordered the fillet mignon and were not impressed. Most of all, our waitress was inattentive and slow. We were disappointed to say the least and will not be coming back again.
We were in the area visiting and getting a table for 5 at the last minute wasn’t an issue.
The food was fabulous. Everyone ate the filet and all were cooked as requested and VERY tender.
Dessert was really good also. The white chocolate cheesecake was out of season - which I was hoping for- but we had the brownie with ice cream which fed 3 of us easily and the New York cheesecake which was perfect for 2.
Recommend to anyone considering this place and would go again.
New Years eve with great courtesy and service by the staff. They even honored the coupons for a dinner including shrimp, lobster and steak. Of the four steaks, two were overcooked but corrected without fanfare. Quality shrimp and lobster with three steaks being of very good quality and the fourth being chewy and tasteless and obviously of commercial or a lesser grade in quality.
