Unfortunately, the bar person was so very busy serving retrieving to go orders etc. That the service left alot to be desired. I was celebrating my birthday and was disappointed with the whole experience. In the past we have always had great service etc
But it must be a sign of the times

Great Job Black Angus!!!!

Overall it was alright considering it was Thanksgiving, the reason for low star count is the decor; They really need to give a place a facelift!

We wanted to try something different this year so we made reservations for the 25th. Ordered their Thanksgiving Special and we loved everything. I was surprised with the flavor and that it was in fact turkey not the turkey breast you find in other restaurants. it had a lot of flavor and the potato soups was super delicious. This definitely will be my to go restaurant. Oh, let’s don’t forget the service, it was great.

The filet mignon was cold and the crumbled blue cheese on top didn’t taste good. I actually got a stomach ache after. But my mom enjoyed her prime rib.

We were seated immediately, that was good. When our server came to our table he asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay. We received the bread/butter, which we ate. Then after some time our server, Simon, came back to take our orders. We ordered the Thanksgiving dinner & 2 Cesar salads. We finished our bread & finally the salads arrived. We finished our salads & STILL didn't have our bottle of wine!! We only had water. We asked, he said it's coming. Finally, we received the bottle of wine w/glasses that had just been washed & were still very warm...I don't like to drink my wine in a hot glass.
He said he'll bring an ice bucket for the wine. Then the customers across from us, who arrived AFTER us, were given their dinner before us. We asked what happened to ours. He went to check & after several minutes brought our dinner. Some of the food on my plate was cold, I didn't mention it because it took so long to get that I didn't want to wait any longer. Also, the portion of the sides seemed to be quite small. I've been to this Black Angus "pre-Covid" for Thanksgiving and the portion size of the sides seemed larger. A bit disappointed there. When we were served the pumpkin pie, I took a couple of bites & that was it for me it was heavily spiced, not to my liking. When the bill arrived we noticed there was an addt'l charge for the Cesar salad, not a big deal but the server didn't mention that when we placed our order. We still would have ordered them it just would have been nice to know in advance of the extra charge. The floor near our table was dirty with paper and straws on it. The entry was full of leaves from high winds that were blowing OUTSIDE. This should have been cleaned. Overall, we truly didn't enjoy our experience for a dinner that should have been special & especially after spending over $100. I would have preferred going to a higher end restaurant for the cost & to have a better experience.

It was my birthday and it was told on the reservation, written on our ticket. Not even a “happy birthday” from the server. They sat us the farthest table, in the back, next to the kitchen. It was so distracting how many people were passing by our table every minute, looking at us!!! We ordered the thanksgiving special and it was terrible!!! The salad and molasses bread tasted great, but the Turkey was 1/2 white and 1/2 dark (with tons of fat) meat was placed on top of the dressing and then smothered in cold gravy. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and smothered in cold gravy. The people sitting across from us complained about the food being cold, and it wasn’t received well, so we didn’t want to complain too. The pumpkin pie was good, but then again, cold and just a tiny squirt of whipped cream. $70+ dollars and we basically just had bread, salad, and pie. Completely disappointed in the food and seating area. Definitely will not do it again

I enjoyed the experience however I felt that I was rushed to have my dinner so that the table would be available for someone else. That left a bad taste in my mouth.
I do not know if I would want to return anytime soon because I like to enjoy my meal without the pressure of wishing that I would finish and leave.

I also ordered my meal without dressing however it came with the dressing and I was in the middle of eating my salad at that time. Hence, the rush for me to finish my meal.

Went for Thanksgiving meal. As always, meal was well presented and typical Thanksgiving fare—turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, salad, soup. All was quite tasty. If you don’t want to prepare a full meal for next Thanksgiving, we recommend Black Angus.

My wife and I both ordered the Turkey dinner. It came with Broccoli. We both noticed it wasn't cook as it was impossible to cut, We informed Diane our wonderful waitress. She took the broccoli back to the kitchen and returned a couple of minutes later with Micro waved Broccoli. It was hot but you could not cut it with a steak knife. This was not eatable. I asked if it was just garnish for the plate HA HA. Other than that everything else was great

When we got to Black Angus, they were empty. No one waiting for table. They checked our ID'S and Vax proof. We were taken to a booth. We talked about different choices. Saw the Campire feast $64.00. No discounts so we ordered 2- New Yorks with 2 sides.
Cost around $60.-
When we got home as I was going through my emails there was one from Black Angus with a coupon for 49.95. for the Campire feast. Why weren't we told when we were there about the coupon. In the past, if there was a special we were advised. We then showed the coupon in the email and it was honored. You have a computer, we made the reservation on Open Table. You know we have been there before. Why weren't we advised when we arrived, or when we were ordering. We were there in June, your place can stay empty. If it closed, We would not miss the place. We payed more and got less than we should have. Great logo for you restaurant- Pay More, Get Less.

Reservation time honored. Very attentive wait staff. 4 of us ordered the campfire feast and we all had NY steaks. They were a good size and cooked as ordered. The shrimp cocktail has 5 shrimp to share, 6 would be better. The salads are plentiful and the desserts are delicious and large. We took our carrot cake home. One person ordered chicken and said it was dry. I’d go back again and order steak.

The restaurant was not busy. We were acknowledged upon arrival but taken to a table without the high backed booth requested on the reservation. Several of the requested were available and we were seated in one. No service was provided until after we called a passing waiter and requested service.
Hopefully this was an anomaly because we have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past.

We went for the Bullseye Bar Menu as we have done for years. The Northridge location use to offer it all day Tues & Sunday in addition to Mon-Fri on weekend. Unfortunately they have discontinued doing this on Sundays at this location. They do offer $4 beers if there is an NFL game on and some specials on burgers but that's it. So for 3 Bud Lights and a Quesadilla appetizer on Sunday. Which by the way is not nearly as good as it used to be. Much smaller size and I don't think they are using the quality steak that they used to use. Anyway its 38 bucks for not much. Won't be going back again for awhile, if ever. It wasn't crowded in the bar area at all. Had the 49ers game on, but without the Bullseye bar menu on Sunday I bet they lose business.

Understaffed restaurant that needs more waiters. Seemed like we waited forever to be served. Also was someone’s birthday in my party , had higher expectations that they at least put a candle on the cake, after informing them it was a bday, but no such thing happened. Thought it would have been a nice touch! Oh well! Now I know that’s not the place (black angus) to celebrate anything special because we certainly didn’t feel like they went out of their way since I mentioned understaffed and overworked.

The place could use some cleaning up and organization as well. Restaurant seems a little dirty and dated and there were leaves blown inside the restaurant. It just looked like they don’t care about appearance whatsoever. Also the server got our order a wrong, but they were probably too tired to notice these details. It’s not exactly a Michelin star rated joint so you can’t expect much.

Don’t think I will ever eat there again during rush dinner hour. Probably will take a break from this place. The food is overall very good for the value so I can see why it’s so popular. But don’t expect much in terms of service. A lot of elderly people eat here too so it’s not exactly a hip joint, more of a senior citizen hangout for the geriatric crowd.
