We had an enjoyable dinner with very good food. Our waiter, Samuel, was pleasant and outstanding.
Great deal on campfire combo. Steak was yummy and the sides were good, the only complaint I had was the food took a while but we did have a larger party. Great service too!
I go because I like the food. Having specials sent via email also helps me to be reminded of the value and what I like to eat there.
Amazing evening thanks to Black Angus Monrovia and our wonderful server! It was a crazy busy Friday evening and we had lots of family-4 generations and everyone had a great time. The space allowed for us to walk the tiniest great grand when he got fussy and to let the great grandpa stand when his back hurt. It was like being at home except we didn’t have to cook or clean up! Great food too!
IN THE PAST WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE AND ENJOYED OURSELVES. THIS TIME WE CANNOT RECOMMEND MUCH. THE FOOD TASTED LIKE IT HAD BEEN SITTING THERE ALL DAY. THE STEAKS WERE TOUGH AND THE LAMB WAS FAIR AT BEST. OUR SERVICE WAS OKAY NOT GREAT. OUR APPETIZER WAS BROUGHT TO US AFTER THEY BROUGHT OUR SALADS ETC, WE HAD TO ASK FOR WATER AND COFFEE AND THEY NEVER ASKED ONCE HOW OUR FOOD WAS. WE PROBABLY WON'T GO BACK AS THAT WAS THE 2ND STRIKE IN A YEAR. SORRY BUT HAD TO BE TRUTHFUL
Zucchini appetizers were the best we ever had, a long with the cucumber dip!!
I made reservations at the Monrovia Black Angus to celebrate my daughter and her husbands 13 year wedding anniversary. This particular Black Angus, has always been our go to for Steak House since it first opened. The service atmosphere and quality food. Brings us back year after year. Birthdays anniversaries. Graduations you name it , were there. This trip was a little different from all others. The waitress that served our rather large group. Did not seem to be thrilled, that she had to wait on our table. It appeared as if she were in the cocktail/ couples area of the bar. Which is where they put us. Not sure why, it was less than appropriate, as there were two children under 15 in our group. One of the orders was not close to being coooked the way it was ordered. When brought to her attention. She was less than happy that asked she have it re done. Everyone else already had their meals eaten. Dessert was being rdered before he ever got his dinner. The manager then brought out his food. With a huge apology for his meal. Not a word about were we were seated. It is of my opinion that attention to detail is not in his vocabulary/ He wss extremely friendly. Also As my daughter was eating the artichoke appetizer she bit down on the leaf and her front bottom tooth was broken. She did not bring it to t heir attention. Feeling if they cared about our group, they would at least have asked if this was ok to seat us in the bar. The manager made generous adjustments to the bill. In regards to him eating after everyone was finished. The food as always wonderful.
I'm a long time fan of Black Angus, Monrovia. The waiter was especially helpful and friendly.
I'll be back!
It was a Tuesday night. It didn’t seem very busy. I didn’t expect service to be so slow. Our reservation was at 8 pm. By 9 pm, we were done eating. We waited about half an hour to get the bill. The bill was incorrect. So we told our waitress. Took another 10 minutes or so to get the corrected bill. By the time we left, it was around 9:45 pm. I usually don’t have problem with Black Angus. In fact, service is always good. Tonight was a disappointment.
Had a reservation but it was busy and holiday. We all had slight injuries making standing difficult. We finally were seated and could see that it was a little busier than they anticipated. Then along cane our server Dave. He took our drink order. He sent over bread and water. Came back with status and a smile. He took such good care of us that we stayed longer than usual. We were so engrossed in our conversation, great recommendations from Dave and great service and good food, we stayed much longer than our usual dine and dash routine. All thanks to Dave!!!
This location never disappoints; we've been to this Black Angus many, many times, and the service is always excellent, food is great, and great value.
The ambiance was warm and inviting. Having lunch with family and ordering the salmon was a great selection. Starting off with the sampler and fried zucchini was delicious. The salmon was moist and tasty. For dessert the carrot cake was some of the best I have ever eaten. The parking was plentiful and the location is great off the 210 fwy.
Black Angus never disappoints - it stands to show how when you deliver consistently good service, the customers will always return.
Prine rib is excellent. Our server Jose was friendly and professional.
Chose to eat here but all Black Angus restaurants are consistently good. This night everything was just OK. The service was extremely slow!
Everyone was very nice and the server was also nice and professional, but the kitchen was beyond slow. We saw the manager deal with complaints at two different table while we were there.
We wanted to try the lobster tail my husband &. Son order it they were very disappointed no meat in the legs very thin they were still hungry after
My husband loves black angus so much you'd think it was the only restaurant in Southern California. The food is always good and the serving and waitress staff are always friendly.
Robert was an awesome waiter! Give him a raise. Attentive, professional, and food was timed perfectly. Such a pleasure to meet him.
Happy n enjoyable
I brought my fiancée for dinner since it was her birthday weekend. I originally made reservations online and when we arrived everything went without a hitch. Definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for a great dinner.
We had a good dinner on a busy Valentine's day. We shared the campfire set meal for two. She had the ribeye (medium well) and I got the pork chop (well-done). Both were well flavored and came out juicy even though almost full cooked. Since the set meal included an appetizer (nachos were great!) and a dessert, we left really full and very satisfied.
Big portions and pleasant atmosphere. We didn't need dessert; We were full.
As usual, the place was comfortable and cozy, service was excellent, food Always delicious for a reasonableprice.
Great waiter, shrimp was good, steak was average
Service was terribly slow which I could understand if maybe the waiter was some what attentive which he wasn’t. He never came back to check on us for drinks or to offer some explanation and when I finally was annoyed he seemed upset that I asked for an update.
A very good evening for us. Comfortable booth , great martini, good selections on the menu.
Excellent, attentive and prompt service. Food was great. Side Salad was very fresh and large. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, quality of beef was very good.
We had to walk t about 20 minutes even though we had reservations.
Great experience with food & service. We had the Campfire Feast for two for $45, upgraded to get the Wagon Wheel Sampler Platter for $3 more which was a great deal. More than plenty food for two. Definitely would come back.
We had reservations and was seated right away. Our food was great!! I had the prime rib. It was awesome!! Our sever was great and attentive. It was my husband's birthday and they brought us a birthday cookie. It was a large warm chocolate chip cpokies with a scoop of ice cream on it, it rocked!!! We will definitely be back!!
We sat in the Bar immediately and were brought drinks quickly. We had a television screen right next to us to watch the end of an exciting game. We ordered specials and happy hour plates and they were outstanding!
It was amazing the food was awesome great service. It was mi first time there and the food was awesome.
Perfect late dining. Steak good as always. Really like potatoes au gratin.
After 40 years Blank Angus still is delivering good beef. It's a lot quieter these days as the crowd is only 40% of what it was in the 70s and 80s. I suppose it's because eating this type of food has fallen out of fashion. Too bad because they do a good job with their menu. i don't know if adding a huge micro-brew assortment and redoing the bar area as a typical sports bar (Huge TVs & attractive bar workers, etc) would be the ticket to success. Perhaps they should promote themselves more to the nearby technology center.
Good food, good service, coupons good deal, good seating
We had a large party and had a nice long table to accommodate everyone together. It was off in a separate area so it felt like we had our own private dinner. Being that we were off from the general seating we were easy to be forgotten so we had to remind the wait staff about drink refills when they came back to check on us. Other than that, the food was great, wait staff were very nice and helpful, most of the orders came back correctly, and our servers even added a special touch by singing happy birthday to my mom for her birthday and included a chocolate chip cookie w/ice cream.
This is the second time that we've come to the restaurant for this specific occasion because we enjoyed our meal and had a positive experience the last time. I am happy to say that once again we have come away with a good meal, good time and a positive experience!
Long wait for a table, even with a reservation. But the lobster and steak dinner was excellent. Our waitress was charming.
