Black Angus Steakhouse - Milpitas Ratings and Reviews
My wife wanted a good steak and we had a coupon for the campfire feast. She had the filet and I had the prime rib. Both were tender, jucicy and the perfect taste. We shared the potatoe skins which was a meal itself. With our our sides and mountain cake for dessert we were stuffed. We took most of the skins home with us and some of our meat. We enjoyed the food and service very much. We were right by the kitchen so it was a bit noisy but not as bad as some places I know.
We were skipped over for our call ahead seating. We had to wait 30 min to be seated after checking in and only after asking why we hadn't been seated yet. The service was very slow. The waitress did not provide very good service. It took 1hour and 35 minutes from our check in, until we finaly got our check. Which made us late for our concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The show started at 7:00, and we arrived after the first performer had left the stage!
We were extremely disappointed in the overall dining experience!
Bkack Angus has always been one of our favorite places to dine.
This visit wasn't a typical experience. Usually the service is fine, but this time it was lacking. The server brought iced tea without sweeteners and had to be asked for them. He didn't provide any extra napkins to a person who ordered ribs and had to be asked twice for a napkin to use at dessert. When I ordered dessert, he began to walk away without asking my husband for his dessert offer (and he did want dessert). And the people seated at the next table, who arrived after us, got their bread a lot sooner than we did (they had a different server). Small things for sure, but they added up to a disappointing experience.
The wait was short, and the greeter was pleasant and helpful, and wished my Dad a happy birthday. Dad ordered ribs which were tender and fell off the bones. Dad has limited use of his right hand, and independently helped himself finishing all of the hearty meal as it was excellent. My NY strip was tender and flavorful. My daughter's T-bone was cooked perfectly.
The Milpitas Black Angus is the best Black Angus ever! For this event, our waiter Jacob made the celebration that much more special with his careful attention to everything we needed. Please pass on our compliments to the manager for having such a great crew.
+Somewhat disappointed by entree sizes, we had two of their dinner specials: Filet Mignon with Giant Shrimp and Sirloin, Shrimp and Lobster. While all items were tasty, the sizes were ridiculously small. They certainly did not look anything like the glossy pictures on the menu. I am a frequent diner at this restaurant and this is the first time I have been this disappointed.
Did not acknowledge birthday message on the reservation. Food was very poor in quality and preparation. Cold dry chewy and extra fatty prime rib, tiny dry and tough baked potato, tiny dry overcooked shrimp, rice pilaf that tasted like rice-a-roni from a box and salad with no dressing. Not very busy on a Thursday night at 7:00PM. The birthday person ate a couple bites then pushed the plate away since her food was not edible.
Our "out to dinner " bunch meets every two weeks at Black Angus in Milpitas, CA. We have been doing this for over a year now and cannot say enough great things about every aspect of the service and food at Black Angus. The servers are always excellent and they help make the dining even more fun for our group. We also appreciate the coupons that I receive by email and they are the main incentive for us always going to Black Angus and nowhere else. Keep up the great work! Outback Steakhouse should be worried!
Wait staff was unorganized. When asked about the different drinks available, she wasn't sure. She also had to ask another waitress about a question we had about the different butters available. One of the steaks purchased was over cooked. Wasn't a very busy time when we arrived. Supervisor on the floor was helpful.
Restaurant with great potential, however waiter was fully overloaded with the amount of guests and timing in getting the food or drinks ready to the table.
Since it took too long, the steaks were not cooked as ordered.
Pity since we expected it to be an better experience.
The service was excellent. It was not too crowd so the waiter was able to provide us a little more attention. There was one unfortunate issue with a baked potato. The manager resolved the issue in a timely and professional manner. Overall the experience was great. I would definitely return there again for a meal. Thank you!
Second time we've dined at this location. First time there we were at the bar, got our drinks and never got our food. Second time got seated at a booth, 45min before we got our food and our steaks weren't cooked right and server never told us they ran out of brussel sprouts to offer another choice. We did get our bill reduced both times however for a steakhouse that costs $$$ to eat at they should do better. Won't be trying this location again
Although we had a reservation and no one else was waiting, we were made to wait 20-30 minutes. Their dinner planning was very poor. We should not have had to wait. Food is not as good as I remember a few years ago. Waitperson was overworked but did a goid job.
Your air-conditioner was not working and got up to 95 degree's inside. A older man was having difficult in breathing and daughter called 911 and fire department arrived first we were sitting two tables from behind him and it was very crowded and we left to make room for the fire department. I have no idea how the fire men made it all the way back to there table little alone the gurney. There was two waitress that brought a bag of ice and water to the family. My wife and I had to get out of there because we were starting to get dizzy, we are in our upper 70's. I have no idea how many people got sick and was able to leave on there own. Even the servers were fanning themselves with the menu's.
