Black Angus Steakhouse - Lynnwood- Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
This was our last meal at the Lynwood site due to it's being shut down 3 days later for eminent domain due to improved transit plans for the near future. It went excellently as usual with a senior server we'd had before who treated us great, as usual, and she sent a regional manager, Jon, who was on hand due to the imminent shut down to answer patrons questions about the possibility of another Black Angus being opened locally in the future. He did so politely but realistically about the time involved in such a process. Hopefully we'll be able to dine at our favorite restaurant sometime in the future w/o an hours drive through the lousy puget sound metro traffic nightmare.
Ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye Steak. Saltiest steak that I have ever tried to eat. So salty that I only choked down 3 bites. The steak was tender and cooked right. It was just not my order but our whole table ordered New York Strip or Ribeye. They were all too salty and non of us were able to eat the meat. The rest of the items ordered were fine but not the meat which is why you go there. The server called the manager, which made things right by comping our meals and only charged us for the drinks. More than fair in our eyes. Unfortunately, it will be a long time before I try a Black Angus again. This experience has left me turned off of trying another franchise location as this one closed Monday night.
We are very sad to see the Lynnwood Black Angus closing. It has been our go-to place to visit for special occasions, a good steak and watching baseball or football together. We often sat in the bar area to watch and eat, even on week nights. Almost all birthdays were celebrated here as well as other important/special occasions. We don't know where we will go for future steak meals that are north and close. Please consider another restaurant in the area. So many memories were created at this restaurant. It is a big loss!!!
Black Angus corporation should be trying desperately to find a new location for this restaurant. It is well-run, food is always very good, service is great, and guests are greeted and treated well from arrival to departure. What a shame that they have to close due to losing their lease thanks to light rail eminent domain. This restaurant always seems busy and management & staff are top-notch. Federal Way will now be nearest Black Angus, and we won't make the trip through Seattle nightmare traffic to go there. North end is losing a gem.
Unfortunately Black Angus Lynnwood is closing on Friday, June 23rd because of the light rail station that will be built eventually. We will miss coming here for celebrations. We have enjoyed this place for the last few years. We have been to the Tacoma location and it hasn't been as good as the Lynnwood location. It is also way too far to go for dinner. We hope that Black Angus will consider opening a new location up in Snohomish County so that we can continue to enjoy our dinners.
It is with great regret that the Lynnwood, WA, Black Angus will close June 26, 2017, due to a Light Rail to be built within 2 years, as per the local news. The Light Rail has caused many long- time Businesses to close. Lynnwood Black Angus has been my "go to" restaurant since it opened many years ago. It is my hope that the Lynnwood Black Angus will re-locate in the area. In speaking with a Manager, they are not certain what the future holds for a new location. Another Landmark gone for good, which is sad. The Menu and Service at Black Angus has always been impeccable, and met my needs.
We and my in-laws have frequented this Black Angus since the 80s. It is sad that it is closing this month due to Sound Transit and eminent domain. We've lost a great restaurant in the north end and many employees are being forced to either transfer to the Federal Way Black Angus or find other employment. Thumbs down to the money pit known as Sound Transit.
Our group dinner was bitter sweet because this location is closing. They lost their lease due to light rail having a stop there. We have been going here for years, meeting friends for good food, service and atmosphere. We have always been more than satisfied with our experience there.
We decided to have one last friend gathering to say goodbye to one of our favorite haunts.
We are sad to see it go and really hope they open a new location in the area.
We always enjoy eating here. The service is great, friendly staff. We have never had a bad meal at Black Angus. We are very sad to see them close their doors. They are really going to be missed. We haven't found a restaurant that is as consistent with their quality of food.
