Black Angus Steakhouse - Lakewood Ratings and Reviews
Food was good for the value, but the service was horrible. Went there to celebrate a birthday and the. Service was soooooooo slow. We almost died of thirst as it took 30 minutes to get a refill of water after asking 2 different people. Then after we paid, we waited another 35 minutes for our dessert to be boxed up. Should of only been then for about 90 minutes, but because of our MIA waitress we were there almost 3 hours.....dont know if we will be back for seconds:(
This was not my first time eating at Black Angus. I enjoyed it the first and I really enjoyed it the last visit. The atmosphere, wonderful costumer service, and the good food was awesome. I give them an A+ for all those great quality. Really great service all around.
Disappointed on this visit. Steaks not cooked properly even when sent, sitll came back wrong and mashed potatoes were cold. The manager did comp us the steak. Everyone very friendly and service was good. Must have had the B team in the kitchen. Every other time I have been there the food was perfect.
We love Black Angus and like to celebrate special occasions there. Made a reservation for a late Sunday lunch (after 2 pm) for 4, and they were still busy! Although they said they would seat us right away, we were a little perturbed by what seemed like a long wait just to clean a table.
Our server was great, and the food was excellent as usual. We all had a steak dinner (2 ribeyes, 1 filet) to take advantage of the free lobster promo.
Unfortunately, there was apparently a party nearby with infants and/or toddlers who shrieked during our entire meal! It may have been an adult playing with the child, or it may have been a child crying. Don't know which, but the noise level was very disturbing. We agreed that Sunday afternoon was probably not a good time for a quiet, relaxing lunch.
We visited this restaurant on a VERY HOT day in Southern California. It felt almost warm inside, but I imagine that was due to the 100+ degrees outside. The waitstaff were amazing and we
enjoyed our meal very much. The Campfire Feast deal is outstanding value and we come here often to enjoy steak, appetizers, sides and dessert
Slow service. The waitress had several tables going on all at once. The manager should have the bus boys refilling water and tea. The appetizers were luke warm. We received them along with our salads. Usually the appetizers come first. The manager was no where to be seen. Management needs to step up to help with the customer service.
Made reservations for our date night for 7:30 but our movie ran a little long. I was able to go onto the app and change reservation time with no problem. Once we arrived the hostess sat my wife and I in the bar area. I wasn't too happy about that. That is the area for people who just walk in a without waiting not the main dining area. The service and the food were both okay. My wife asked for a box and the waitress came back with the check no box. She came back after running my card but still no box. After watching her got to several tables bring back drinks, check, and even a box to another table I asked another waitress to bring us a box and just like that we packed up and left. Never seeing the waitress again.
Having eaten at Black Angus for years, I have been disappointed the last couple of times dining. It seems the service is understaffed, show to respond, and forgetful. Although the steaks are very tasty, they don't follow the growing trend of non-animal farm production and pursue grass fed beef (there is a significant trend in this direction). Additionally, the steaks did not appear to be the menus 6 and 8 ounce sizes.
Came for Father's Day dinner tonight.
Food was great, down side had to wait over an hour to get the bread you are supposed to get while you wait for your beverages/meal. Seemed our server was extremely busy and forgot about us every now and then.
We've been to this restaurant in the past and never had a problem. I guess everyone was just a little overwhelmed since it was extra busy. =|
We had went their for father's day and it wad very disappointing... the service was lousy... our food took forever to come.. our waiter rarely came by to see if we needed anything... we drank only water and when asked for a refill I never got it... when the food did come it wasn't cooked right meat was undercooked... I wanted med/well they gave me rare.. they took it back with everything on the plate and returned it with only the meat.. saying they needed to remake mashed potatoes in which I never got... I paid 165 dollars for food that was undercooked and a waiter who made me and my family feel we were bothering ... never ever again will I take anyone there again to celebrate or to eat... very disappointed
