Black Angus Steakhouse - Goodyear Ratings and Reviews
It's a great place to go and be able to listen to and hear who you are with. So many restaurants these days are extremely noisy.
The waitress we had was wonderful and personable. She knew when to stop by our table and when to let us be.
The complaint I have is that once again my steak could have been better. I asked for blood rare and my husband asked for rare. Guess whose was rarer . . . my husband's.
Mother's Day evening dining with reservation worked out well. We were seated promptly. Service was efficient but we did not feel rushed. Our filets were good, cooked as we asked. With my meal I had their green beans. They were quite hard, not al dente, just cooked but still too hard. It was a busy night, but noise levels were not too bad. This restaurant has booths with high walls which helps to have a conversation with your companion. I enjoy going to this restaurant as it is generally good food at reasonable prices.
We took my wife for Mothers Day. We have been to Black Angus many many MANY times over the years. This particular one always seems to have issues. We both got the cowboy cut prime rib. We get prime rib every time we go. Kids get the usual kid stuff. The kid stuff is always just par for the course. Anyways, my wifes piece of prime rib was about 40% fat. They did discount her meal, but this isnt the first time we have had problems. In fact, this is the only location we ever have problems at and it's always with the prime rib. The only reason we go back is because they seem to have the only prime rib in town that doesnt taste like beef jerky. I do not think we will be going back. We are about 200 dollars a week or every 10 days in this place. SOrry Black Angus you have lost customers.
It was wonderful to book a reservation on line in one state and have our reservation honored in another state. We only waited a couple of minutes, literally a couple of minutes off our reservation time. The food was excellent, service was with a smile and since it was my birthday, I was treated to a special dessert.
We celebrated Mother's Day with a great dinner at Black Angus. We each enjoyed great-tasting steaks. We also enjoyed some great tasting wine. Our server, Nicholas, was excellent--very friendly & polite. We also enjoyed some great tasting peanut butter cup pie. We love Black Angus & plan to be dining again soon!!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – friendly atmosphere with smiling faces, a comfortable environment. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The filet minion was exceptional and the salad was excellent. My husband said his shrimp was absolutely delicious.. The service was well-timed and friendly, and the dishes were affordable. The feeling was that of a restaurant that is proud of it's staff, their performance, and their service to their customers.
We went for Mother's Day brunch. We were seated in a booth right at the entrance of the dining area despite making reservations. It was a party of 5 so a table probably would've been better. No special menu for the occasion. Our waitress was a bit gruff, nothing unpleasant but just not welcoming. I order the New York and it was a bit fatty and flavorless. Overall, I wasn't satisfied and doubtful if I'll ever be back.
Overall the visit was good. First time so not sure what to expect. Atmosphere was good for a chain restaurant. Food was good, came out hot, yet plate and food cooled off very quickly and don't like cold steak!
Waiter was good however started off with bringing wine glasses that were fully covered in 100s of water spots that was difficult to see inside the glass. That should have been noticed by someone else before as well then by him before bringing to the table too. Attention to detail is critical. The broccoli vegetable was a very large stalk that should have been smaller rather than a single stalk.
Reservations are recommended so no real waiting upon arrival. Visit again.
Favourite Steakhouse. Prefer Black Angus to Outback. Like the high back booths. Even caters for my wife who is vegetarian. Took a friend visiting from New Zealand who said it's one of the best Rib eye steaks he's ever had. I can make a meal just out of their molasses bread on it's own.
We expected a discount on the wonderful meal for two, because we'd signed up for (what we thought was) a membership that would allow us to pay only $42 instead of the $58. We asked our waitress about it but she said something about a coupon and we paid full price. Did we miss a coupon somewhere?
My partner and I had the petite filet and lobster tail-both were very good. The green beans were a little dried out (one of the sides) and the broccoli was lukewarm. My steak was cooked exactly the way I like it: rare. The fried zucchini appetizer was very good too. It was very quiet on a Tuesday night, allowing us to engage in conversation without having to raise our voices to be heard. The meal was a little pricey, but I would go back because the filet was definitely tender, juicy, and flavorful. Our service was very good too!!
Two of us enjoyed our meals. The salmon and lamb chops were done as ordered and were very tasty. The two other people with us had tri-tip steaks which were tough. In addition, their green beans were cooked but turned out raw. The kitchen tried again and again they came back raw. Not al dente (which we are well aware of) but tasting uncooked. They could not get it right. So the two folk with tough steak and raw beans enjoyed their desserts and said it was the worst food they had ever had at this Black Angus. The service was timely and excellent but two of the meals were badly prepared.
