Black Angus Steakhouse - Goodyear Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent as always. The atmosphere reminds me of home - comfortable. The service was excellent. My husband and I always get your Campfire Feast. He gets the steak, I get the salmon and we split them. That way we each get steak and seafood. We go to the Black Angus in Goodyear and it's always good.
While the service started out shaky and slow, it was conceivable since it was a Friday night. I think there needs to be more employees. I know our waiter was spread out very thin. He almost came across slightly rude and rushed because he was so busy. Service did become markedly better as our drinks and bread came quickly and appetizer was really good (fried zucchini). We ordered our main courses from a very easy to read and not overwhelming menu. We had a very useful coupon for a surf and turf (buy 1 get one free). The food was great, no bones about that. Then we ordered the big mountain chocolate cake with fudge and ice cream! OMG!! The serving had to be for two...it was the biggest dessert I've ever had a a restaurant! Big meant BIG and to die for! Recommend it for chocolate lovers like me. We will return no doubt but maybe not on a Friday night.
Took dad there for his 93rd birthday. They had sent him a free steak dinner birthday coupon so it was a no brainer! We both had filets and they were awesome! Good baked potato, salad and dark, molasses bread with butter. Had a Kiltlifter microbrew and all in all everything was most excellent! Waitress was very attentive and even brought dad's dessert with a candle as I requested! Dad enjoyed his coconut cream pie dessert.
The food was decent and the service was great but all of our meats were overcooked. I would recommend ordering a little rarer than you want your meat. My son ordered a burger medium well and it was so well done the whole outside was burned and hard. Not very tasty.
Our experience is always great, the food. Is always delicious and filling. Our server was Patty and she was excellent. I was Go I,g to do the server for her on my receipt but it did not have the transaction number for me to continue. I hope this gets to her. The manager was also very kind and helpful, in sorry I can remember her name. God bless you all
It was so refreshing to go to a QUIET restaurant where we did not have to compete with televisions, music, and the conversation of other patrons. The service was very good and the server was knowledgeable about gluten free options. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Wonderful evening!
We have always had good service and good food at Black Angus, not this time.
Service was not real bad but they were understaffed (for fathers day) and the
waitress screwed our drink order after going over it 3 times............
Steaks were tough and thin (probably why they were tough) (New York Strip)
Grilled Shrimp was tough.........
Bread was good as always.........
I travel from CA, my son lives in Glendale. He loves Black Angus, so we go whenever I'm here. Unfortunately there was an issue with my Visa Gift Card, the server said it was accepted, then it was accepted for less the value. You may look into your policy of processing gift cards. It created a big problem for me, but the manager worked with me to eliminate the problem. You have a very wonderful manager at the Goodyear Black Angus. We'll be back as often as possible! We love the food and atmosphere.
It's a great place to go and be able to listen to and hear who you are with. So many restaurants these days are extremely noisy.
The waitress we had was wonderful and personable. She knew when to stop by our table and when to let us be.
The complaint I have is that once again my steak could have been better. I asked for blood rare and my husband asked for rare. Guess whose was rarer . . . my husband's.
Mother's Day evening dining with reservation worked out well. We were seated promptly. Service was efficient but we did not feel rushed. Our filets were good, cooked as we asked. With my meal I had their green beans. They were quite hard, not al dente, just cooked but still too hard. It was a busy night, but noise levels were not too bad. This restaurant has booths with high walls which helps to have a conversation with your companion. I enjoy going to this restaurant as it is generally good food at reasonable prices.
We took my wife for Mothers Day. We have been to Black Angus many many MANY times over the years. This particular one always seems to have issues. We both got the cowboy cut prime rib. We get prime rib every time we go. Kids get the usual kid stuff. The kid stuff is always just par for the course. Anyways, my wifes piece of prime rib was about 40% fat. They did discount her meal, but this isnt the first time we have had problems. In fact, this is the only location we ever have problems at and it's always with the prime rib. The only reason we go back is because they seem to have the only prime rib in town that doesnt taste like beef jerky. I do not think we will be going back. We are about 200 dollars a week or every 10 days in this place. SOrry Black Angus you have lost customers.
It was wonderful to book a reservation on line in one state and have our reservation honored in another state. We only waited a couple of minutes, literally a couple of minutes off our reservation time. The food was excellent, service was with a smile and since it was my birthday, I was treated to a special dessert.
We celebrated Mother's Day with a great dinner at Black Angus. We each enjoyed great-tasting steaks. We also enjoyed some great tasting wine. Our server, Nicholas, was excellent--very friendly & polite. We also enjoyed some great tasting peanut butter cup pie. We love Black Angus & plan to be dining again soon!!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – friendly atmosphere with smiling faces, a comfortable environment. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The filet minion was exceptional and the salad was excellent. My husband said his shrimp was absolutely delicious.. The service was well-timed and friendly, and the dishes were affordable. The feeling was that of a restaurant that is proud of it's staff, their performance, and their service to their customers.
We went for Mother's Day brunch. We were seated in a booth right at the entrance of the dining area despite making reservations. It was a party of 5 so a table probably would've been better. No special menu for the occasion. Our waitress was a bit gruff, nothing unpleasant but just not welcoming. I order the New York and it was a bit fatty and flavorless. Overall, I wasn't satisfied and doubtful if I'll ever be back.
