Food & service was great.
The quality of the food was very poor. Would never go there again
We brought a friend to celebrate her visit for the week. She totally loved the food and setting. We said she would. We will continue to bring any of our friends here without hesitation. Our waitress, Patty, treats us superbly.
Early lunch offers a quiet place for people with hearing aides. Service was terrific.
Food was extremely good. Atmosphere was great. Service was average! Overall good place for dinner.
Excellent food and attentive staff. Waited in bar 25 minutes after reservation time, but worth the wait.
The location was crowded when we arrived, but luckily we used Open Table to make a reservation for 6:30 pm. We got to the restaurant at 6:15 pm and checked in...We were told that we would have a table at 6:30. We went to the bar and were lucky to find two spots in the middle of the bar. We sat there for 11 minutes before anyone of the two bartenders addressed us...We'll be right with you. From the time we got there to the time we were seated at 6:55 pm, I checked with the host stand three times on the status on my 6:30 reservation. After being seated, we were placed at a table that faced another table..dinner and a show. We got to watch the other table eat their food...Yum! At that point we said we didn't want our date night ruined any more and left for another restaurant. We left two have finished glasses of wine at the table and walked out.
This was my first visit to Black Angus Steakhouse. The place was alright, the atmosphere is nice. We, my date and I, decided to try this restaurant because we had a coupon. I feel that when our server was informed of the coupon she made some assumptions that resulted in less than the best service. This may be my own assumptions, but I would be disappointed if the level of service we received was the standard in this restaurant considering the menu and atmosphere. My steak, ordered to be served medium, was charred on all the edges. I cannot count this as one of the better steaks I've had in my life. I would not go back, nothing about the experience had a positive impact on my date night evening.
We were able to make a reservation so we only waited a few minutes instead of 55.
We have gone to Black Angus for over 12 years and have never had a bad meal, not bad service.
Keep up the good work.
We each had the sirloin + prawns with 2 sides. We each had enough leftover for lunch the next (which was our plan, by the way.) The steak was ver y flavorful and done exactly as we wished.
Enjoyed the best steaks in the area.
My husband and I come all the time. We love the prime rib. However, on this occasion my husband and I order the cowboy prime rib. By the time we trimmed off all the fat we was left with 8 to 10 oz of meat. We paid for cowboy not the 8-10 oz.
Will not be coming back any time soon
Great service thanks ladies.
The food was great as always and the staff was very attentive. This place has been a "go to" place for a good evening out or special occasion.
Came on Valentines with our girls. The food was delicious & service was great. I believe it’s the manager that came by & brought our girls red balloons. Last time we were here he brought out extra sprinkles on their ice cream sundaes, very family friendly!
This was a Valentine's Day event that included a first time date. We had reservations for 6:30pm, but got there early to enjoy a glass of wine, during Happy Hour, prior to enjoying dinner. Once seated at the bar, we asked what the house Cabernet was, and was told there was no Happy Hour on Valentine's Day, since it was a holiday. When questioned about which holiday, we were informed that it was Valentine's Day. Not in my short term of life on this planet have I ever heard of Valentine's Day as being a holiday. When asked, I was told, some people consider it a holiday banks and Post Offices are closed on holidays. They are not closed on Valentine's Day. So, the bottom line, they stopped serving Happy Hour drink prices, knowing the restaurant would be full of people celebrating Valentine's Day, and able to charge regular prices to increase their bottom line for the day. Very poor customer consideration. Will probably not go there for any special occasion since it might be labeled a HOLIDAY.
Our food was good, our server, Tamara, was excellent.
Even with the good food and service, left with a bad taste in our mouth!
It was great. Mother daughter dinner
Ordered Prime Rib, served Ribeye complete with grille marks and told me it was a Prime Rib. Did not honor the published menu pricing on wine. Just a Bad overall experience on a special day. Very disappointed about the whole evening. Will never go back, EVER!
Food was Delicious. Campfire Feast is the way to go, ton of food
Black Angus restaurants have been one of our most favorite eating establishments over the past 30 plus years. We now frequent Black Angus Goodyear fairly often since last year when we moved to Goodyear. Roy was our waiter this past Wednesday, & we were well pleased with his service. He made sure we had a continuous supply of water in our glasses, and the overall service of our orders was handled in a timely & efficient manner. I will say, he also was well tipped for his service which we were more than happy to do. On our next evening at Black Angus Goodyear, we would trust we might once again have him assist us with our order.
The steak was good, the sides were luke warm where the server was pleasant the service was slow to where she felt she had to apologize for delay in us receiving our food.. We were seated very close to reservation time. 5:47pm Our server arrived at our table at 5:58pm for our drink order. When we received our dessert we asked for our check and my card was siped at 7:16pm. Yes that doesn't seem too bad but we were still eating.
Our waitress was excellent. However, we would not consider this restaurant as a “special occasion “ dining experience. Our anniversary was never even mentioned. We were seated in between the bar and the restrooms which made for a lot of traffic. Our jumbo shrimp appetizer was comical, small shrimp at best. Just an okay night out. We will probably make another date at a different restaurant and try again.
My wife's birthday. She had the Ribs and I had the Medium Rare Prime Rib and we shared the salad. All was wonderful as were previous meals there. We will definitely be back.
Excellent-tasting steaks cooked to order. Great drinks. Outstanding, friendly service from our server Liz J. Great-tasting birthday cookie with ice cream.
We used the on line reservations and the wait was minimal. Our waiter, Ivan, was fabulous and the food was superb. We had the campfire meal for two. The appetizer assortment, the fried zucchini was wonderful. I had the filet, grilled to perfection (medium rare), the broccoli (mmm!), and au gratin potatoes. He had the ribs, which were fall off the bone, loaded baked potato and the broccoli. One of our favorite places.
I was happy to see that the popularity of this location was still outstanding. I made a reservation by chance and was glad I had since the wait time was 45 minutes to an hour for a table. The food was delicious and the service was polite and timely. Keep up the great work and thank you for making a wonderful and memorable evening with my family.
Our server was Roy who was efficient, friendly and overall a great server! I would come back because of him.
I had much higher expectations for this restaurant. The decor is a little outdated but it was clean. The service was fairly decent, friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. For the price I would probably not go back.
A Little confusion on the menu regarding dinner feast for two. We thought we were each getting steak and prawns. The prawns we got didn’t equal what was advertised and our filet was small and not med rare as ordered. Our friends ordered the feast and received a full rack of ribs and a large ribeye. The portions were huge compared to what we were served. This was a disappointing evening where we were celebrating my 77th birthday! We have celebrated birthdays frequently at Black Angus, here in AZ and So CA. The Whittier CA restaurant surpasses our expectations.
Ordered the Lobster & Prime Rib combo for ~$35. This included two sides. I selected a salad for appetizer and a green beans for an side with dinner. All the food was good, if not exceptional. Pretty good value for what I got, but I would prefer to pay a little more for an exceptional meal.
Have had steak there before and it was great. We tried the ribs, tough and very big for baby backs, and not fall off the bone, told the server and she said sorry, but did not offer to replace them. I would go back, but order the filet next time.
Roy is an excellent waiter and asset to your Corporation. The 4 of us had the Prime Rib Special
which included an appetizer, two sides, and dessert. The Prime Rib for each of us was cooked
Always a great place to eat and relax with friends or on a date. Great place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries . Food is very good and the steaks are always cooked to my order. The desserts are very good especially the orange chocolate cake. Service was very good
Excellent Food !!
This is our Favorite local Restaurant —Best Salmon And Fillets!!
Very friendly staff and very accommodating when our grandkids were here to visit too.
Deserts are Delicous!!!
Not a great experience. We had a reservation. We got there 5 minutes before or scheduled time. I let them know about the reservation and they said they were getting our table ready. 20 minutes later, and after several other couples were seated, I reminded then about our reservation and was promptly taken back to a booth. It was as if they simply forgot I checked in.
The food was the next big disappointment. My wife and I both ordered our steak medium. After waiting for a long time, the steaks finally came out (with the wrong sides). The steaks were well done. My ribeye was like jerky! I will never eat there again, nor will I recommend this place to anyone.
Had another wonderful meal at Black Angus. We had a coupon to try Sirloin Steak and Giant Prawns. Both were excellent. Have never had a bad meal in this restaurant.
My wife and I dined at Black Angus because we heard some good reviews from our friends. Initially we were reluctant because it's a chain. We've now dined there two times. It's clear the manager, Alice Weaver, operates a very good restaurant. We received very good service from our server both times. Our server was Jhlyah (pronounced Leia). She also has a great smile.
The center cut Filet is great. So are their speciality ribs. The Caesar salad is very good as well, not too much dressing. They also have some very good deserts.
Very enjoyable evening.
