It wasn't as good as before. The waitress was new and was slow. The food was poor quality. They even charged me for a supposedly free birthday dessert.
Very good overall. Great service very friendly and good food.
Everything was excellent from the food to the service to the ambiance.
The wrangler steak was delicious. Our waiter was excellent. Thank you
Just an excellent overall experience. Very good, paced service, perfect service and food was just as delicious as the relaxed ambiance. Casual dining but very nice atmosphere.
I was there for the lobster and steak. I orderd and got a ribeye steak (very tough) and my lobster was very small and bland. My wife ordered a dinner salad topped with filet minon which was very dry and tough! (over cooked?) our server was very friendly and tried to be helpful. We were patiently waiting for the manager to come by to check on us but he/she never came by and we chose not to burden the server with a complaint. We had a previous bad at this steak house but we chose to give it one more try, regrettably!
We have fined at BA once or twice a yr for several years. The quality of the food varies . We find that the lower cost Specials are chancey. We had the 19.99 special. The steak was chewy...the lobster and shrimp better. Our guests had the 49$ special and said it was good. we like The multiple choice menu options. The service was very pleasant. One big reason for choosing BA is the quiet environment. We will be back and order differently.
Food and service was awesome. They overbooked reservations for holiday but nothing anyone could do, can’t complainA great place to dine
Food always very delicious love their steaks, always great atmosphere is always great
Very sad to write this review. Ive been going to Black Angus since I was a little girl. Its been a family tradition to go their on New Years Eve. This year was the worst experience Ive ever had their. First I made reservations in advance like always. This yr they were not able to accomodate my party of 12. So made 2 seperate reservations and asked if we could at least be seated in same area. Said they would try. Got there right b4 my reservation time of 730 and was told they were running 20-30 min behind. 30 min passed, was told it would be an additional 30 min. Mean white 2 huge tables were open and not being bused. Which would have accommodated my entire party. Was told they were under staffed???. Y?? On New Years Eve. Finally got seated at 9. Let me remind you my reservations were at 730. I do have to say, once we were seated our server was awesome and tried to make up for our wait. Food is always good. Worst part is while we were waiting, their was no seating, we stood for over an hr and half. Crowded with people.
New Years Eve...had 7:15 reservations. Finally seated at 8:20. Service was slow but the waiter was nice. We didn’t get out until 10:00.
Arrived 15 mins early for reservation! Was told “running behind” will seat ASAP! 40 mins later I asked when we would be seated, she replied another 40 mins or more! Outrageous disgusting service with no understanding of customers waiting! Over an hour to be seated with a reservation! I will never return to this place!
It was ok for the most part. It was New Year's Eve, made reservation for 7pm but had to wait at least 45 minutes to hour due to overbooking and not staffed for the holiday. Which left waiter behind on everything. I mentioned about a courtesy discount and was given a coupon for next visit of 15 dollars which should of been credited that day. So now in order to get my coupon for a previous service I now have to spend more money in order to use coupon. The whole purpose of reservations is not to wait so long. The whole place was packed with unsatisfied customers. Our bill should of been handled that day not a coupon for later that will probably not get used cause of forgetting I had. Not a happy customer for a first timer.
We were disappointed that our reservation time meant nothing as we were seated 45 minutes late. The excuse given was they were over-booked. There were many open tables. They simply did not have the staffing to handle their bookings.
We have frequented Black Angus for New Years Eve and other special events and will try again in the future. The environment, menu and food all are very nice and a good value.
For New Year’s Eve it was good service. Food was hot Waitress came around a lot to see if we needed anything
Made a reservation for 6PM, arrived 5 minutes early, was told they where running late and it would be 15 minutes of wait, it was 55 minutes of standing before we could be seated, then they wanted to seat us at a table for 20 when there was only four of us. Then it was another wait for a booth, and 45 minutes before we where offered water and bread. My meat was cold when it was finally served. We got there prior to 6 and it was 9:30 before we had finished. I will not make the mistake of making another reservation next year with them.
The restaurant was busy and crowded but the staff went out if their way to make everyone comfortable-
Yes I would but not on any holiday. Hostess rude......we waited 45 minutes with a reservation, our waiter was amazing he was the best thing all evening. Food was cold and the steak was tough. The place was packed, the whole time we were there there were at least 6 empty tables for 4 to 8 people.
I had the campfire meal and split with my husband. I ordered chicken and ribs with brocolli and loaded potato. The rib meat was a little dried out, chicken was moist and tasted good. Potato was small in size and brocolli was not steamed enough. Appetizer zucchini we loved! Dessert was cookie with ice cream. We loved that to! My husband had the New York and he said it was cooked medium well like he ordered and was tender and had lots of flavor.
Outstanding service great food and quiet enough to be able to visit.
The alcohol is good. The flavor is there in some of the food. However it is lacking as well. Portions are small. Service is slow. The birthday desert was by far the best thing.
A little noisy with a party of at least twenty right next to us but that’s not BA’s fault. I’ve had better filet mignon but it was cooked perfectly.
Amazing food great value
Although we made reservations and arrived on time, it took 30 minutes to be seated (on a Weds) and another 30 before we finally snagged a waitress passing by and begged for some water and bread. She brought that promptly, but it was another 10 minutes to order. So it took us almost two hours to be served. The food, when it came, was pretty good—solid dinner house food. Of course we had scarfed down a lot of bread by then cause we were starving. I was wishing they had at last brought our wine while we waited!
The ambiance was kind of run down and not the cleanest overall. But in fairness, they appeared under staffed, and our visit as during Christmas season, and we used a discount coupon to boot.
Still, it would take another really great coupon before I’d be willing to give them another try!
Service was bad ! My main corse was terrible looked like a big dog treat .We had to get are silverware off of a empty table as well as the plates for are appetizers. The wagon wheel sample was great .
Waiter was very excellent and attentive at all times .. disappointed with the Mac and cheese .. looks nothing like the picture shown and didn’t have any crumbles .
Our waiter made this an enjoyable dinner. Well done
It was my daughter's birthday and I made sure to make it known when I made the reservations... I also mentioned it to the young lady in the front we were there to celebrate her birthday she did not get a birthday dessert.. or anything related to a birthday wish. I was very disappointed when she received her salad there was a long hair on her salad and her food was returned because the coleslaw was old. Over all her experience was horrible I felt so bad for her because she likes to celebrate her birthday here every year and this year I was really let down.
The food is usually great but this time it was subpar. The wagon wheel sampler was over cooked. The ribeye steak was very tough.
Another fine example of the usual excellent fare and service provided by every location I have enjoyed.
It was really good. Totally enjoyed
We had a great time. Maybe a suggestion, let your patrons know that the drinks aren't free refills. Specific the Strawberry lemonade
We had a half hour wait which wasn't too bad. Our server was great but the food fir Thanksgiving was like warm and not that big of portions. Salad great. We have cane at other times as was great
Well, I’ve been there before and food and service was always good. I was there for thanksgiving day. I don’t mind paying for a nice meal, but the portions were really bad. My hand was the size of stuffing and turkey. Cranberry was a size of a 1/4 cup dipping sauce size container. The server didn’t follow up on water again. I also asked for to go containers, received those 20 mins later or so. It was busy, but not extremely busy. Overall it wasn’t worth over a 130.00 for 3 people.. won’t do the holiday again
Went for thanksgiving overall was a good meal. Only miss was we took the pumpkin pie home but they didn’t do any whip cream. The pie was heavy handed with all spice so pretty strong.
The server was outstanding!
They seated us on time but the staff was somewhat overwhelmed.
The wait time was acceptable, the wait staff very professional and friendly. The food was good but not quite hot enough (temp). Overall enjoyable experience.
Your Turkey dinner was not up to your Black Angus standards. We have had your steak dinners quite a few times and they have always been excellent. But the turkey dinner fell short. First, the entree was delivered before we received the salad and the warm molasses bread. The waiter forgot these and he apologized. The turkey itself was good and flavorful, but the dressing under the turkey was too skimpy and dry. It was below your standard. The small scoop of mashed potatoes was too little to be satisfying. The sweet potatoes were adequate and flavorful The cranberry sauce was barely enough to really make it worthwhile.
The first coffee was served hot which was good, but the second serving was served in a small creamer-like container which did not keep it hot. The pumpkin pie was satisfactory.
We were looking forward to a great Thanksgiving meal, but left somewhat disappointed.
