Great food, great service. This is the better location to visit!
It was nice to return to Black Angus after more than a year. We were the only ones at an outside table, and we liked that. It was quiet. We received excellent service, and the food is as good as always. We started with salads. My entree was the 6-ounch filet mignon with two lobster tails and broccoli. Delicious and filling.
Our waitress was very bad , had to wait 15 minutes to order our drinks and then waited another 20 to get them . My steak was undercooked, was cold , disgusting.
This restaurant diligently practiced social distancing, and every staff member had mask and gloves on. Our waiter, I believed his name is Eduardo was outstanding-very attentive and courteous.
Great food, service and enjoyable evening dining inside again!!
Fountain Valley always has the best service and great food!
Well done with outdoor setup in compliance with COVID restrictions. We go there every year on our anniversary because the food and service is outstanding
With the recent opening of California, we decided to give indoor seating an opportunity. Reservations was very spot on and they were prepared for our dining. Clean and orderly, the seating was well apart and clean. Highly recommend.
Was excited to have them back open. A family favorite. Had dinner with one of our sons early. All of us had the filet. Quiet as it was early and a week night. Recommend highly
I never write reviews, and I really wish I would have gotten his name, but our server that night was alone covering at least 6 tables if not more. The man was power walking the entire time! And every time he walked to our table he had a smile on, he was friendly and attentive. Bravo, sir! You earned that 40% tip!
I’ve been there about once or twice a month these past 3 months and the service has been great every time.
I used to eat at Black Angus all the time and they have recently raised their prices to where I don’t think the quality matches the value. My prime rib was good and my son enjoyed the twelve ounce Ribeye which was half fat. So even though we paid for the 12oz, he got the 8oz. We had reservations and were made to wait outside in the cold for quite some time as you are no longer allowed to wait inside even if you are the only people waiting. I got the asparagus as my side which costs extra. I got five stocks which was good amount accept only half of them were cooked right the remainder were extra crunchy. At the end of the meal I asked for a box and some creamy horseradish and au jus to go. I was brought two empty containers when I didn’t have much left of the horseradish, I had to scrape out what I could get. If you are going to charge that much for a meal, even though still considered casual dining, at least bring a fresh container of horseradish and au jus (Forgive the spelling). Does Customer Service mean anything anymore? Oh, I don’t know what they did, but the zucchini and cucumber sauce used to be the best. It does not taste the same and no it isn’t for the better. I was disappointed being the first time out since they opened up.
Great experience overall
Food was great but our server was not. Christina was robotic and rude while she seemed to give great service to her other tables.
Made reservation, still had to wait outside. Food was okay except the mashed potatoes, how one can screw this dish up I don’t know but they did, very dry and no gravy or butter. They need to have their booths cleaned, looks like it’s so dirty The management and employees should be ashamed. One would think they would have cleaned everything during the Covid shutdown.
First opening for indoor dining. We got off to a slow start from waiter. And, we did not want to scan QR to look at the menu. So, it took a bit before anything was happening. Thomas did apologize several times for the slow response times. But, he may have been the only server in the bar area where we were seated.
Food was good. Full rack ribs was great.
Reservation for 5:30pm was a disappointment. Requested to be seated in a booth in the bar area so we can watch the Laker game that evening. We checked in a little early and was told the bar area was not available for another half hour or so. We were given the opportunity to sit near the bar area but could not really watch the game clearly. What is the point of making a reservation? Perhaps it was because we were a party of two? Other than that Giovanni, our server was amazing. He deserved every bit of the 20%+ tip we gave him. This was our first time out since July 2020. He made worthwhile despite the fact that we did not get the seating we wanted. He did change the channel to show the Laker game but could not really watch it from where we were seated.
We’ve eaten at this chain of restaurants for years and always enjoyed the prime rib and other menu items. This time was not as it used to be. We usually eat at the Torrance location, which seems to be much better.
Nice place to have dinner with fiends and family .
The beef is OK but they cut the pieces so thin it is impossible to cook it appropriately, especially medium rare. The prices are OK for "specials".
Great service, good food, like we have enjoyed for many years.
So happy to be able to eat inside!
Definitely do a standard table specifically one by the bar if you want to watch tv while dinning.
Our server was a very nice young lady but the service was just bad - which has become typical when sitting in the "outside" (make shift patio). We arrived for our 6 pm reservation a little before six and got seated about 15 min later (even though the patio had five or six tables open). Our server greeted us right away (was very nice!) we ordered a bottle of wine and our meal right away as well. But after 35 min still hadn't gotten water or wine much less our salads - even though another table seated well after us had gotten drinks, and salads. Then when she was bringing out our bottle of wine & glasses, she dropped everything (this happens) but when it takes close to an hour to get water and a bottle of wine, there's a big problem. Too one of our group ordered a large salad "no meat" (she's vegitarian) and had to pick the bacon out of her salad while waiting another 10 min to get the salad dressing. We just have to stop going as it's rarey good service.
Food was delicious and Thomas our server was great as always!
We always have good food, cooked just right, and great service.
Our first time back since lockdown and it was wonderful! We were seated in bar area but would’ve preferred more in the dining area. Server Thomas was excellent and very upbeat and friendly. Very enjoyable.
Great food. Server Eddie was awesome - my drink was never empty. The prime rib here is fantastic.
This Black Angus is sort of hidden due to road construction by the freeway, but it is open and indoor dining is open! The dinner for two deal is great for $65, even better if you are a rewards member as we got a $15 off coupon! ! It included an appetizer, 2 entrees (I had the prime rib, wife had baby back ribs) with two sides, and a dessert. The service here is outstanding, and indoor dining is available!
Black Angus Fountain Valley is the best Black Angus I've been to, and I have been to several. The quality, quantity, choice of options and preparation of the food are outstanding. Mark, the General Manager, has gone out of his way to make customers as comfortable as possible wherever they are sitting due to the pandemic (mostly outdoors for the past several months). The bottles of wine are half-price every day, a big plus! My husband and I like the Campfire Feast. We share the delicious shrimp appetizer, each get the salmon, broccoli and rice pilaf, and share the Big Mountain Chocolate Fudge Cake or the Mud Pie for dessert. There are other really good options for the Campfire Feast, but this is our favorite. Now that indoor dining is again available, the ambience is so improved - nice, quiet, etc. And every server there is beyond nice, friendly, and efficient.
The food and service were excellent! Will definitely go again soon.
The server was a little rude and I think I’m realizing this restaurant is for older people.
Super great to be back inside! Great service, great selection of food, and great pricing on wine! Great to see all our previous servers and managers all working again and coming by to send their regards and to see repeat customers back in the house. We will come back more often, thank you
inside dining is open we were sat in the Bar area and it was very quiet and we had a nice dinner using the campfire feast coupon. People sign up with the prime club the Campfire feast coupon is well worth it just make sure you tip your waiter by the full price of the meal not the discounted price they work just as hard with or without the coupon
Natalie was amazing!
Excellent service, so nice to indoor dine again. Highly recommended
We love coming here and can hardly wait until we call all be back indoors!
We had excellent service. Our waitress mentioned she had been vaccinated and was so attentive and kind. The food was great and handled so well. We were far from other guests but also had a heater. We had a 4 course meal, everything attended to. I highly recommend this place
Great food and service. Black angus has delicious steaks.
Terrible! The food was awful, the filet was definitely not a filet. Super chewy and just a cheap cut of meat. Their outside dining is a makeshift tent in a parking lot. Many restaurants have tents right now but the ambiance is much better, it’s like they’re not Eve trying. If you want overpriced cheap steak, then you’ll love this place. We won’t be back!
We always love Black Angus Steakhouse!!! The campfire feast is wonderful too!! The food is always good!
We were looking for a place to eat out and discovered that Black Angus had an outdoor area. While the wind was blowing and there was nearby traffic, it was never-the-less a positive experience.
