Sent the steak back to the kitchen. It was tough as cardboard. The waitress was one of the best we have seen. The chef sent out a new steak, but on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 6. Our suggestion: get a new supplier for beef. Good western atmosphere.
One of my favorite places to eat for many years until this visit. Prices have gone up some things almost double! Guess it just won't be my go to from now on I'll have to eat around!

Visited the Fountain Valley Black Angus on February 15, 2018. I used Open Table to make a reservation and was seated in a few minutes. The server appeared immediately and took our drink order. The food arrived hot and tasted great. The server stopped by several times to fill our drinks and ask if we needed anything.
Food was delicious, service great , off course making a reservation.It was my first time there and I will recommend to all my friends , is a nice and cozy fun place
We come for great steaks with accompanying veggies, salads, warm dark bread loaves, etc.
Seems strange that you give us choices regarding lunches when you do not open until 3pm
Everything was going fine until my wife found two tiny pieces of glass in her margarita. There was no charge for her meal, which was the decent thing to do, but even so, it kind of put a damper on our dining experience. I can understand how these things may happen, but it's still a mystery to us how glass got into her drink. Surely there must be precautions to keep that from happening again.
Absolutely a wonderful meal. The food was excellent. Service was great and our waitress was lovely. The prime rib could be cut with a fork. We’re extremely happy with our whole experience.

We had a previous bad experience at this place and they gave us a gift card so we tried it again. We had the two entree special for 2. I had a filet mignon and she had tri-tip. Both were tough to chew. I could understand a tri-tip since that's a hard cut of meat to cook but very disappointed with filet. It really didn't look like a quality filet. It was hard to cut in places and mostly tough to chew. Only part of it was okay. It was cooked ok med rare and had nice color. I don't know where they get their meat but it's not very tender. I rarely complain but I did this time and the manager came over and apologized and adjusted the bill which was nice. But two bad tries I don't think I'm going back for a third. There are too many other places that have steak dinners that are reasonably priced and usually decent.
The service was really slow and not very friendly. The food was not very good and not cooked correctly. Part of the table had to wait an additional 15 minutes for their food. The manager came out and didn’t even offer anything to compensate. I heard other customers complaining as well.
