Our server was very efficient. Food and beverages came at an even pace. Apple pie desert was highly recommended.

We generally visit the Black Angus in Fountain Valley about four times a year. Great place for family and friends to meet in the middle, and good food. On this occasion we ordered the same thing because it sounded just delicious, and two of us had special request for a small change on our sandwiches, which was not a problem for our server at all. We order the fillet mignon sandwich with fries. Oh my goodness, if you have not tried the sandwich, by all means do. The bread it was on was crispy on the outside, and nice and soft on the inside, the filet was cooked perfectly, and we all ordered it differently. I am always happy when there is someone back in the kitchen who really knows the difference between medium rare, etc. whoever was on shift that day I cook the meat perfectly! Fries were hot, crispy, and not over done . Our waiter was a delight, very on top of things, never bothered by request for refills on drinks and water, and ensured that we were all happy with what we had, and just added a big plus to our dining out . Thank you, for a wonderful meal, we will be back sooner than later or another sandwich !
Over all the restaurant was good. Food and value was down because the deep fried food was bad. The deep fried were very crusty and hard. All crust; example, the Zucinni was paper thin with a quarter inch hard crust.
We come to Black Angus to see our waitress, Andrea and we like the food, although I would prefer a better selection of seafood since that’s what I eat the most. My wife, on the other hand, enjoys your steaks. We met Andrea a few years ago at your restaurant and have more fun with her when we come for dinner. We have no communications with her outside her work. She makes our dinner that much more special. Every time I call to make a reservation I ask if she is working. If not we change our plans. We love the food and wine. We would like to see a better dessert selection however.
My husband and I are regulars and eat there a few times a month. We ordered the summer grill trio. We were surprised our ribs were served cold. We told the waitress and they “reheated” them. Now they were just luke warm. Disappointed this happened but they did deduct from our bill for this. Also we were seated in a section we’ve never sat in before. It was towards the back by the kitchen and the staff was very loud and we could here loud music playing rom they’re phones. Definitely will request we don’t get seated in that area again.

My grandson’s tritip was larger than the 8oz stated in menu. My wife’s prime rib was larger than the 8oz stated in the menu. My ribeye steak was significantly smaller than the 12oz stated in the menu. Compared to my wife and grandson’s meat portions mine looked like a child’s plate portion. The four shrimp that came with my order were sad, over cooked and dry. My grandson and wife enjoyed the Father’s Day meal. I, the father, did not.
It was loud. Server did not go out of her way. Server would not honor an email anniversary coupon for a free appetizer.
Our early Father’s Day dinner was awesome! Our server was gracious, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and very tender. The “Picnic “ dinner was delicious and filling. This reservation site was awesome! Thanks again.

Our server was excellent always checking to see if we needed anything, food was tasty will defiantly be back.
The service was good and we got right in. the food was okay- I didn't enjoy my steak but maybe I don't like the cut I ordered - the broccoli was supposed to have garlic butter on it and it did not. It was kind of bland.
Our server was the best, Jerimy was all about service, did a great job, everything was good, except the steak, both mine and my wife's were terrible, kind of a steak you get from sizzler or dennys.
I finally talked my wife into going, were going to give it another try...

The lamb chops were the mostly bone & meat was scarce. Not worth the going there for the lamb. Bottom line the picture on the website was nothing like the order! NEVER AGAIN! HOLY CRAP what a RIP-OFF! NEVER AGAIN ..................................BEEN RIPPED OFF ON CHRISTMAS DINNER ON A CRUISE SHIP 2018 & YOUR AUSTRALIAN LAMP CHOPS SAME STATURE OF WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

Worst steak I've ever had! $70 bucks for garbage. They should refund some of my money.
Had reservation at 1:00 on Mother’s Day. We walked in early at 12:45, there were only a handful of people. I checked in with the hostess, and she said it would only be a few minutes. Then people started to arrive in groups, some with reservations, some without. I was patiently waiting but I noticed people that came after us were being seated. After 45 minutes at around 1:30, I asked the hostess if the wait was going to be much longer, and she claimed that I never checked in. The whole time we were sitting right in front of her, looking at each other, unbelievable!
The waitress was less than attentive, but that I can understand, being mother’ day, it was crowded.
Lamb Chops were excellent. I thought they should of had more Mother's Day food specials.
Always a great place! The food the service and ambiance is always excellent!
Worked hard all day and was super hungry. Needless to say by the time we finished and got back on the road again our tummies and gas tank both registered full.

Met friends for a wonderful steak dinner. Used a coupon for the campfire dinner which covered 6 people. Great steak and service.
The restaurant has not been refreshed in 30+ years. The restroom is so dated. The steaks were good but the free lobster was so tiny ! The sides of Brussel Sprouts and Mac/Cheese were not good. Our server Thi was great and tried to make our meal a pleasant experience.

Took my wife there for our anniversary. They had a Crab / Steak special and she loves crab. Got there early, 5:30 pm (with reservation). Hardly anyone in the restaurant. She ordered the special and our waitress said she believed they are already out of the special. She checked and returned saying the Crab / Steak special was unavailable. Was not happy about this as it didn't make sense to me at 5:30 pm (maybe it would if it was later in the night) as it was early, not many people in the restaurant. We ordered the Steak / Lobster combo but it wasn't what my wife really wanted. The food was good, plenty of it, and the service was good. Only glitch was the unavailability of an advertised special.
The portions seemed smaller and our waitress did not seem happy.

LOVE DOMINIQUE! She was awesome. The food at Black Angus is always great; don't have to worry about that. We have the best time when we have the best servers.
The only issue is that in EVERY restaurant, especially if the server is pretty young, very often when I say "pinot grigio" or "pinot gris" the server hears only the first word and bring pinot noir instead. This time it was fine because my husband decided he would drink the pinot noir! : )
