Maria was our server she was very polite and attentive. The hostess sat us right away and she was very personable and funny, the food was delicious perfectly Temped steak. And the bartenders really know what they are doing!! Great experience thank you!

Our server 1009 David W was the absolute best. Second time I’ve had him and he’s the best! On a separate note, was a little disappointed that there was no information on the artwork. About a month ago, I took details regarding David Stoecklein’s photos that hang in your El Cajon restaurant with (noon manager) and thought there would be a card or something for interested guests. He told me many people ask where they can get copies. I did lots of research and even bought one like the one that hangs in your waiting area.

Our meal was excellent. We ordered the meal for two, and were not rushed in any way. We were given ampel time to enjoy each course.

We chose this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Hostess and server were attentive. There was plenty of room for all of us and down in the Lounge was the perfect ambiance.

As far as food though: bread was really hard. Apps were great but dinner arrived not 5 min after and we felt rushed. My husband and I had the coupon for the Campfire Feast. I distinctly remember upgrading to the filet mignon but prime rib came out. Did not want to raise a fuss as we already felt rushed, so we accepted it. However, his, mine, and my mother's meat was VERY tough as was the broccoli. Would have sent it all back but again, we already felt rushed to finish.

Love this place. Had the rib eye steak and it was perfectly done. I can always count on an outstanding meal.

Our waitress was a joy. She was nice, friendly and took very good care of us.

Great food, good service, would recommend, will return again soon.

The servers are really on it. They don’t interrupt, but come by constantly and know what to look for to spot what you may need. The food is good but seems overpriced. The potatoes sure gratin are not as great as they claim. Once again, huge crowds of people waiting and waiting to be seated, and at the same time, loads of empty tables.

Hadn't been to the Black Angus for a while went for dinner and casual food was amazing service was amazing definitely well worth the money for the. meal

Our server Molly was nice, and very professional. We got a ‘dinner for two’ selection and it was a lot of food. We’re big eaters but still took home half of our appetizer and the entire dessert. No wonder we saw so many people leaving with containers. My grilled shrimp was a bit over cooked. It comes with melted butter but you can ask for cocktail sauce, which is soooo flavorful, I think the best I have ever had! My husband’s rib eye was really delicious, and tender. The potato skins were flavorful and very little potato was missing. Their carrot cake has a lot mire flavor than most. The wedge salad is huge. Large selection of sides, and you get two. We upgraded a couple of things, had iced teas, and by the time we tipped, our $45 deal was up in the 70’s. Still, it was nice. No wonder the place was mobbed when we got there. I like that they really do serve the dinner in courses. The food was better than when we were there years ago.

I had the grilled chicken. It was tough, dry and tasteless. Terrible.

This place is awesome. Veronica is a great waitress and if you want a waiter then Dave is your man. We come here all the time and have never been disappointed. Always great food and service.

We had our Easter Dinner and the Grandchildren enjoyed themselves as well. Very filling for all. Veronica was our server and she was very pleasant.

We had a reservation on Easter and still had to wait. Employees were very pleasant. The service was excellent. She had our best interests at heart when trying to apply discounts. In general, food is very good. However, there could be a lot less salt.

Food took forever and came out cold. Server was very nice and attentive. But cold food cannot be over looked. Was very disappointed in our experience this time.

Ask for well done steak. Was not. Did want to complain. Was not happy.

I put together a small group of friends to break bread at the Black Angus restaurant in El Cajon. The premise was to take advantage of their specially priced steak and lobster. To sum things up, everything went great!

Very happy with the service and the food. Perfectly cooked steak.

It's great from the first greeting to saying goodnight, ambiance, food, service, really good, and very enjoyable. I made the reservations, I didn't know that my girlfriend was paying for my dinner for my birthday. 3 8 47. The evening was great thank you. Bill b

We've been to the Black Angus several times before. We had a coupon for dinner and when we got the bill, we found out it cost $10 more than the coupon. The waitress did not explain any of that to us. The manager came over and said that we were charged more because of what we ordered! Obviously, according to them, we should have known better! Not interested in going there again!

Great food and drinks. Atmosphere was good. The server was very nice. We liked it very much and will definitely be going back.

Went here with 10 people for my Daughters Birthday sat there 25 minutes had to tell someone we do not have menus and drinks managers came over apologizing then everything was good until dinner first it took forever then they got some of the orders wrong but I do love this place just won’t do big parties there

The food was excellent, as was our server, Dave. He offered tips on add-ons smoothly. It was an up-sell but very well done.

The food was great. I had a porter house pork chop and it was so tasty and huge. Kevin, our waiter, was so helpful.

The food was good on the whole, but I had the prime rib which was a decent thickness at one end but skinny at the other end, kind of a wedge shape. It looked a little slap dash and not cared about the presentation. Also, they didnt have any fresh horseraddish sauce, only creamed ( its not the same with out it!) My wifes steak was cooked to perfection. The Vegies were good, but the desert cake, the chock orange was really dry.... but overall an ok experiance.

I ordered my steak med rare and it came med well, the loaded baked potato was dry and the strings beans were tough. I do have to say the shrimp cocktail and the bread pudding were good.

It was everything we were looking for in celebrating my birthday dinner. Every food item was cooked to perfection and very delicious. I would certainly go back again and refer my friends and family.

Never disappointed! Used my birthday coupon on a dinner date with my husband. Coupon pretty much covered my delicious baby back ribs. Plenty of food and actually took the left-overs home. My husband had the top sirloin and asked the waitress to give his compliments to the chef...said it was the most tender and juicy steak he has had in awhile! Our waitress went above and beyond in her service and brought out a birthday desert to celebrate the occassion (many places will only let you have the free entre or free birthday desert!). We will continue making Black Angus one of our favorite restaurants to dine at.

Black Angus is always a safe bet. Service is good, food is very good with a wide range of tasty entrees and appetizers. Good drink selections as well. I cant wait to go back.
