Black Angus Steakhouse - Dublin Ratings and Reviews
Had a 6:15 reservation on a very busy Saturday night. Seated at 6:05 and the food came out very quickly. Husband had the steak/shrimp/lobster deal and I had the 8oz prime rib. Plenty of food and well seasoned. One of our favorite medium priced steak places.
It was an "off" night all the way from start to finish. Service was passed to several people and there were a lot of "gaps" and long waits for parts of the meal. This was unusual to say the least. We dine at Black Angus at least once a week so we do have an idea of what is normal. We will return and hope for a better experience.
This was our first time dining at the Black Angus in Dublin, CA and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food, service and location were great. The prices were also very affordable. My wife and I will plan another dinner and a movie date there soon.
The restaurant shouldn't have menus where the food looks one way and when the server bring your food it's nothing like the picture.
Talking about the Jumbo prawns the where so small you could barely taste the prawn talking about a under statement and then they we cut in half
When I go to eat at restaurant I. expect AT LEAST A 16/20 Whole Prawn
You get bigger prawns at the red lobster,
i'm not good at reviews, but we always enjoy coming to black angus from oakdale ca. we always select the dinner for 2 and we have never been disappointed with our meal so keep up the good service and the food has always been very tasty and good. p.s.LOVE YOUR MUDDDDDD PIE. see again thank you.
Great coupon deals. Server was courteous, patient, very accommodating. Gave us a complimentary dessert with a candle so our birthday celebrant can blow a candle and felt very special. We took our time and was there long having a great time. No one made us feel rushed every if they were very busy. Accommodated our request to take some pictures. They were also quick at clearing our table of dirty plates and providing more napkins when requested for.
Black Angus in Dublin serves a great lunch made even better with the lunch coupon.
If you want a leisurely lunch to catch up with friends or family, this place is so accommodating. But if you need to catch a movie at Regal on time, just let your server know, and they will get you out in a timely fashion with a tummy full of yummy lunch options to suit anyone’s taste buds.
Requested a table Away From The Kitchen and Bar did not get that it was very noisy set right in front of the kitchen and Bar I was very disappointed food okay service okay been coming here for a while first time I've had problems with my request like I said very disappointed
The food and the Service at Black Angus Dublin were very good; the only problem was with my Open Table Reservation.
We went to Black Angus for the "Fall Trio" special with Steak and Lobster and Shrimp for a low price. The food was very good, including the Au Gratin Potatoes side.
The problem was that when I checked in at the host desk when we arrived, the hostess could not find my Reservation. I was able to convince them that I had really made a Reservation, and they seated us in about 15 minutes, instead of the one hour plus wait for people without Reservations. When I checked my Reservation on my phone, it said that the Reservation had been Cancelled - by the Restaurant - right at the same time I was checking in. Very odd. When I showed the Hostess the Cancellation notice, she was able to re-instate the Reservation - the same Reservation that she had been unable to find just minutes before. Not sure how or why this happened; not sure if it was an Open Table issue or a Black Angus issue.
However, it all worked out okay in the end; we had a very good meal and it was a successful night.
I was so excited to find a Black Angus Restaurant in Dublin. We were In the area for my daughters wedding. We don't have a Black Angus where I live in Sonoma County. We had a free night so decided to give it a try. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. the Service was perfect. Rianne (spelling) was so nice and helpful She answered all our questions and always with a smile. The food was delicious and my steak was cooked perfect.
I will absolutely return if I'm in that area again. I wish they would built one in Sonoma County.
Thank you so much,
Sadly, Black Angus is in a total decline. Service was slow and not friendly. Food was served luke warm at best. Baked potato was not able to melt butter. Vegetables were wilted and just barely warm. Prime rib highly overcooked and unbelievably thin slice. Pretty fatty also. Salmon was fried or appears to be vs grilled. Actbest part of dinner was the artichoke dip appetizer and the mud pie desert tho the ice cream was melting(I guess Luke warm was the order of the day). Not going back ever.
We sat at table 43 across from a large table. Very loud and our server was dealing with this large group as well as 2 others in our sight line. A little too many tables for him to do justice to any of them . Our food was served but Not the usual portions or salad extras. Although we requested the brown bread twice and he mentioned it also it never arrived. Seems like spreading your servers so thin doesn't benifit anyone and puts undue pressure on the employrees. Of course we will return and hope for the usual Black Angus expefidnce.
On Saturday evening, the place was jammed. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait close to 30 minutes.
We sat close to large party, so it was so noisy and could barely hear ourselves. Both the food and alcohol were extremely expensive for quality of food.
I don't think we would go back there again.
We used Open Table 8 minutes before arriving to the restaurant during a busy time for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to be seated soon after arriving. We have waited 30-45 minutes in previous visits without using Open Table. Great and free app, use it if you don't want to wait.
Took my husband for his birthday. The food was cooked beautifully, but service a bit slow.
I told the waiter it was my husband's birthday and couldn't wait to have him sung to like all the others around the room. When it came time, he dropped a cookie with some ice cream & on the table and left! Quite disappointing.
The big disappointment was when we left. He had severed his Achilles Tendon a couple of months ago, and it's been a long recovery. We have a disable placard for the car. When we walked to the car, he fell over the blue curb in the dark. Really put a gash in his arm from hitting the side curb. Kinda put a damper on the evening. Maybe more light could be put on those?
I've been going to this black Angus for many many years. The food is still very good but the quality of service has taken a big nose dive. Our server arrived within a few minutes of being seated. He took our drink order and promised to bring bread and water which didn't show up for 15 minutes until we asked for it. We ordered our dinner , Our salads showed up then we had to ask about our drinks. In general everything was just slow and out of order. And they made my drink wrong. The upholstery on the booth we sat in was ripped up and there were gnats flying around the table. Probably not going back to this black Angus.
Everything was very good but the server appeared to rush everything. I got this kind of service at another one of there locations so maybe this is how they go about serving you? Ordered a cocktail and then ordered food. The wedge salad came in minutes and then the app and then before I could finish the app the main course arrives. Everything was fine but why the RUSH! I like to enjoy the food but not all within minutes. The server was very friendly and nice and felt very RUSH!
