Excellent attentive server! Food was excellent!
We once again enjoyed the steak and lobster promotion. Destiny was an excellent server for us.
Service and Food was excellent, the steaks were cooked properly. We would go back again.
Our waiter didn't know what she's doing. I told her it's my birthday, she simply ignored. After we placed the order we waited 45 minutes for our water, they forgot to bring bread. We brought our own wine and it took them another 30 min to open the bottle (but they didn't forget to charge us corkage fee $15). Appetizer came after the main courses !!! No candle on my cake, no song. I'm not coming back.
For years I have been going to Black Angus in Dublin where I have lived for 15 years. Every single time I have ordered a bottle of wine and received my favorite Crispy Shrimp as part of Campfire feast for two.
This time I was told by the lady General Manager that the rules have changed and I can have grilled shrimp but not crispy shrimp. I reluctantly ordered the grilled shrimp, which I did not eat and still ordered crispy shrimp by paying extra for it.
I will probably stop going to Black Angus in future.
There was a shortage of waiters, therefore food and drinks were slow to get to our table
The server was very pleasant and the steak and lobster tail was great!!
Our waitress made our dining special. She was very courteous and considerate. The food was great.
I booked and said we will have Birthday boy, but they forgot
Loved nachos and steaks were good. Mud pie was delicious
Our usual Friday night outing. We enjoy going to Black Angus, Dublin. The staff, from the bar to the table, is friendly and helpful. The food is really good! We enjoyed our time at Black Angus
Great — we sat at the bar to begin our meal... service slowed down once our table was ready... (short staffed) but overall—we will be back
Best restaurant in the area for steak and price.
We were told by hostess they were behind 10 minutes for seating; we were seated a half an hour after our reservation time. Table was greasy and seat was full of crumbs. Waited at least 10 minutes; no one asked us what we’d like to drink. We decided we couldn’t stay because we hadn’t been greeted by wait staff; and, my husband couldn’t risk waiting longer to order food as well as wait for the food to come to the table. So, the rating for the food doesn’t apply because we didn’t get to order. It was all very chaotic as if it was Valentines Day today!
Celebrating Valentines. Waiter very nice and attentive. Very busy and food took a longtime. I suspect they were understaffed.
Great waiter good food
The Dublin Black Angus is a little dated. It smells a little musty. The steaks are a little tough. Service is good. Wish they do some renovation soon.
Great service and the food on point!
Has reservations through open table but where told system had a GLITCH. Had to wait about 25 minutes. Otherwise everything else was fine.
Fast friendly service the food was amazing as always. We had an appointment and the took us early. The place was packed and we were served well. Thank you
Valentine’s Day dinner yummy lobster and prime rib. My hubby had baby back ribs.
Steak was as tough as leather, sides didn't taste very good. Very high price for medium quality food
Place was packed...food service slow....mashed potatoes cold...server Kylie did the best she could.
Service was way to slow for the lack of people filling tables. For a 5:30 reservation we waited roughly 55 min for our order to arrive to our table. When food arrived the children's plate did not have the fruit specified on menu and had to ask for it.
Very good food. The restaurant needs more servers so that the dining experience can be enjoyed. Our lunch, with 1 PM reservations, took 2 grueling hours.
85th birthday dinner for my dad. Tried to sit us by the kitchen. Way too noisy. We ordered and my well done steak was rare. Took 15 minutes to get it back. My broccoli was all dried out from the heat lamps and a piece was missing. They did bring more but still. Was not happy with our visit. The waiter was good but he had way too many tables to cover. Probably will not be back any time soon.
We thought it was great. Food was excellent. Glad we made the effort. We will be back even though its not the easiest trip.
Power outage in Castro Valley forced us out of the house and decided to dine at Black Angus. Made an Open Table reservation and arrived a few minutes early. It was crowded, and was informed that we'd have to wait 15-20 minutes (which was fine). We waited in the bar, so we can have drinks and appetizers. Bartender was friendly, but very busy, and managed to get our order through right before we were seated. He continued to be our server through dinner and got everything to us, but again, he was rushed. Food was good, took dessert home.
This was the the third we went to BA Dublin and this was the third time as well that the restaurant was short staffed resulting in 20 minute delay to get the table and another hour or so before we got the main entree.
Great food and service @ Black Angus in Dublin, CA
We have celebrated many birthdays at the Dublin Black Angus. Sometimes it's a bit slow, but this visit was beyond slow. We ordered an appetizer and one cocktail. The appetizer showed up in a fairly timely manner. We had to remind the waitress about the cocktail which finally showed up 3/4 of the way through our main dinner. The side salad also required a reminder and also showed up after I finished over 1/2 of my main meal. No apology, just some muttering about the kitchen and bar being backed up. Overall, we were there 1 3/4 hrs. At a 5 star restaurant, where each course is served and cleared separately, it can stretch out. This is far from 5 star. It appeared to be poor management - understaffed and terribly unorganized. The worst part was the lack of acknowledgement that the service was sub par.
This is a great place for family get togethers. You get a lot to eat for a great price.
Hostess messed upon on reservation. Had wait 25 minutes longer. What was disappointing was the fact, non - reserve folks was seated ahead of us. Poor management of customer.
Our server was very friendly and accomodating. Nice personality.
The meals are complete and very filling. We usually only eat a half of the meal and take the rest home. However, this time, I ordered a NY Steak and it was as tough as nails. They did not offer to make me another one and I did not press the issue.
Our usual Friday night dinner. The meal and ambiance was great.
IT WAS DINNER FOR MY DAUGHTERS 31ST BIRTHDAY. FOOD WAS GOOD AND WE HAD A VERY NICE DINNER.
First time there and I was not impressed. Filet Mignon was barely an inch thick. It literally was a sirloin...for about $30. Shrimp were expected to be large, but were of normal size. Business partner commented on the same. All booths are wrap-around and the corners are highly uncomfortable.
There were a couple of positives. The bread was OK and the wine poor was pretty decent.
Hope this helps someone planning to go to this location.
I go here all the time i live close by but this last time i went the waiter wasn't available for me at all i had to find him to get a refill and other things i needed i asked other workers walking by. Then i had to find him to pay after i payed he gave my bills & asked did i need the change after handing me a receipt. Worst service so far i still didn't give a bad rating because i come there at least twice a month. 🤷
This was our second trip to Black Angus, Dublin in January 2020. Both trips were poor with service and extremely disorganized. Both visits we were left alone by the wait staff for 15+ minutes without seeing them. In one case the waitress came by and stated that she was going to check on our food in the kitchen and we had to let her know that the food came, was eaten and she was the only person that we were waiting on. That we were running so late that we did not have time for the free dessert. We had food delivered that we did not order and the same was happening at another table with a different waitress. This past visit was a Sunday night at 6pm, not a busy place and it still took the manager to get us our water and bread as the waitress never came by to greet us for the first 15 minutes. When she did show up to our table she never introduced herself or gave us her name. She was writing our order down but her mind was obviously somewhere else as we had to repeat ourselves so that she could get it correct and the appetizer still came out incorrect. Both visit took about 2 hours and we should have been in and out in about 1.25 hours.
