This visit was with my brothers. They wanted a good Prime Rib and that is exactly what we got.
Black Angus does a great job on steaks and prime rib. It's a favorite spot
The waitress was very rude the food took an hour to come out and it was very loud in there. Our food was cold when we received it. The manager gave us three free desserts in the waiter came in and threw it on the table upside down
i didn't realize there was still a black angus opened around sacramento. i made a reservation to take my best friend out for her b-day, black angus was one of her favorite places to eat back in the day. when we got there the server was aware that we were celebrating her birthday, i thought at the end of dinner they would come over and sing to her, didn't happen.
The food was delicious and our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive, prompt, and friendly. He checked on us several times during our visit, which is something we find unusual at most restaurants. We will definitely be returning.
Dustin was excellent server; ensured that we had everything we needed, and what was really cool was he was absolutely slammed, and the other waitress (didn't get her name) was sweet enough to make certain we had plenty of coffee, cream and sugar. It was great to get timely refills. Plus the food was OUTSTANDING. Our prime rib was exactly as we wanted it to be, all the side orders were excellent, and the cheesecake incredible. We had an outstanding experience. I did let the manager know, and sent an extra tip to the chef in back.
The only disappointment - your menu is no longer offering clam chowder - that was the ult!!
Not great service. Took forever to be seated for our reservation, 7pm reservation - sat after 7:30. Didn’t see a server for at least 10 more minutes. Wasn’t even crowded, just s l o w... but, compared to what we’re used to paying for 2 filet, 2 lobster tail dinner - this place is a steal! Just know, it won’t be quick. Not with water, not with drinks, etc. you get the point.

There were four adults and two small children and she anticipated every need - delightful and really on the ball!
Everyone was pleased with their meals - food was good!
My husband and I love having a date night here. Food is always good and the restaurant is quiet so we can have a nice conversation during our dinner.
Always comfortable and good food
Had dinner here Feb.6th with two associates. We all ordered the steak with 2 jumbo shrimps. On our recent visit we ordered the same steak with 3 smaller shrimps. They must have run out of the larger shrimp. The quality was same.
Food was great & service was the absolute best. We were treated royally.
Everything was great. We enjoy the Black A because of the booths. you can talk with each other without bothering others or bothered by others.
Nice wedge salad, prime Zein 8oz a little thin but tasty
We've loved going to Black Angus since we've been married in 2000. It's never disappointed us, great food and service.
The way the food is set up leaves me with: I could arrange it much better! Ordering a Prime Rib dinner with a scoup of mashed potatoes the plate could have at least put on garnish? It just was not well layed out. Now your soup was delicious my steak could have been a little tender also butter would have helped with the potatoes. I have to admit we have had better.
Great food, service, thank you for accommodating my family. We celebrated my husbands birthday and we had a great time!
We always enjoy the Black Angus. Love that they still take reservations as we don't like to wait forever. Prices are good and the waitress was very efficient all staff is friendly and capable. Will definitely go again.

It was very plain. Loud, very loud. Even with a reservation we waited 20 minutes past our reservation time. Service was slow. Food was over cooked or cold by the time it got to our table. And the bartender didn’t know about the drink posted in the entry way.
Black Angus is, unfortunately, out of price range for every day dining. That is why we save it for those special occasions - and when we have coupons ;-)
We both love the food, and the ambience is great when we get the booth w/high walls. We can then enjoy each others' company and still carry on a conversation.
Everything was superb. Our reservation was booked through Open Table and we were seated five minutes before our reservation was scheduled. Our sever was Coral, who was excellent. She was attentive but not overbearing. She was very happy and appeared to lover job. One of the best waitresses U have ever had in my 70 yeas of dinning out. The food was excellent. We both had prime rib that was prepared precisely as ordered. The noise level was moderate and appropriate for the type is establishment. Went in for Valentines Day. I had the special prime rib and king crab. The crab was horrible, it was oversteamed and really dry. Plus overpriced! There was no juice at all and was hard to get out. Definitely would not order again. Service wss great!

Valentines Day so it was very busy. Had reservation but had to wait 20 minutes for table. Good service food was good also but not outstanding.

We had a great Salmon dinner for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was pretty busy, and noise made conversation difficult.
Always good food, good service you can count on. Steaks always done to your perfection. Love the side dishes and artichoke or stuffed mushroom appetizers. Only reason 4 instead of 5 Stars was that the four lobster tails we had were very, very salty. We had to really drown them in extra lemon juice. We’ve eaten there dozens of times through the years and our first complaint.
Service was quick, food was not. Over an hour wait for food. Entrees came out, mine had the wrong side. Had to remind waiter about order of mushrooms. Broccoli was dry with none of the garlic butter. Didn’t get our dessert.
This was our first visit to Black Angus. We were in the mood for steak and we had a coupon for a dinner special. We thought the atmosphere was OK but a little dated. They had several TVs with sporting events ala a sports bar. We ordered the rib-eye with sides of potato au gratin(which was wonderful), a fully loaded baked, a salad big enough for two and a mud pie for desert; all of which was $45 for two of us. Unfortunately the 12 oz. steak consisted of 6 oz. of gristle and fat and we paid $3 extra for that cut. Bottom line, I wouldn't recomend this restaurant if you are looking for a quality steak.
My disappointment...we ordered asparagus and Brussel sprouts to go...these cost $4.99 each
After leaving the restaurant we looked at these items and were absolutely shocked. There were 5 to 6 asparagus spears, and about 8 brussel sprouts. I think the price / quantity for these items is outrageous. I love Black Angus, delicious food, our lunch was yummy...but this situation of over charging / quantity is really bothering me...I wish I had taken a photo. Had the portion size been more substantial I wouldn’t be bothered by the price.
Not much to tell. We do not go to Black Angus very often and now I know why. We simply did not enjoy our meal at all. My husband had the mac & cheese as a side and it actually came out barely warm and looked very unappealing. it looked like it had been set out way too long. It tasted just as it looked. Mac and Cheese should come out warm and creamy looking. The rest of the meal was pretty much the same mediocre at best.
Good place to have fun with friends service was quick and friendly food was great.
The restaurant was very busy and the staff handled the larger than normal crowd like pros! Bar staff, hostess, and server all did an outstanding job. I only lowered my score a little because the bathrooms need renovation.
We had reservations and when we arrived were told they were running about 15 minutes behind. I don’t know if they were short staffed, but our service was slow and our bill had to be corrected. We dine there often and this is not normal.
