Female host was rude and they were quick to not wait. I was in the restroom, ehen i got out, i heard them hey call several names, and then they made comments how it was good the customers were gone. I waited for aanother minute and they asked me my name. I was asked if I was ready and I was still waiting for my guest. This seemed to annoy her.

Even though it was a busy night, we had exceptional service. Our waitress was awesome. Food came very fast but well paced between dishes.

You can not go wrong with a great piece of steak. Good food and great service. When in area, I take my family here and we always enjoy our meal.

Felipe was an excellent server, we never had to request anything. He was Purrfect and so was the gentleman filling up our Ice Tea, and the front desk young lady. Thank you everyone!

Way too expensive for 1/2 inch steaks. Ridiculous! I spent 128.00 for three people, basic steak dinner, no alcohol.

The hostess were rude and dismissive. They rather chat amongst themselves than proactively assist incoming customers. When calling guests for seating they sounded irritated and rushed. They made the experience unwelcoming and made us regret having dinner there. My plate was fine but my wives filet mignon was requested well done and was cooked medium. The waitress did take it back to fully cook but they only burned the outside and still left it cooked medium well inside. Very disappointed with the reception and the poorly cooked steak.

For a busy New Year's Eve, we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress did a great job and took our order within a reasonable time. The overall experience was great and that usually comes from a reflection of how well the waitress or waiter does.

Ordered the trio meal....steak, shrimp and lobster. The steak was so moist and tender. Shrimp and lobster were also great. Presentation was exceptional too for the price of $19.95. Definitely will be back.

I enjoyed the evening since it was my mother's and so did she. However one thing I didn't like was the added comment I had done when making the reservation. Meaning that I had mentioned that it was my mother's birthday and if they could have done something simple for her. Which they neglected in doing so, I was not asking for anything extravagent.

Thanksgiving at Black Angus. I received a mailer to my home stating the Thanksgiving meal offered by Black Angus. I opted for it because the restaurant was good and it was close to my home. Online reservations made, I was all set. On Thanksgiving, the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was full. Then as my date and I walked around the front of the building I saw that there was a large abundance of people standing outside. At that point of time I did not know why, but the answer was going to be apparent very quickly. Standing in line we made it to the hostess stand and we were informed that it was going to be a 25 minute wait. We informed the host that we would be in the bar and to notify us when our table was ready. The disorganization that caused the delay was not uncommon on a busy day, I could deal with that.
In the bar, we noted that a series of table were marked “Reserved”. We found a table towards the back of the bar. There was no sign on the table. We took a seat and waited for our server. We noticed others eating their meals at the half of the tables that were occupied. Knowing that our meal was a minimum of 25 minutes away we decided to ask the server if we could stay at this table and order our meal. Our server was female with dirty blond hair and an inverted ponytail, where her hair fell over that made her look as if she had Minnie Mouse ears.
Our server informed us that the tables in the bar area were set aside for the overflow of customers and that it would not be possible to accommodate us with our new-found seating arrangement. We asked her to ask the host if we could eat at this table instead of waiting as it was not our fault that the restaurant had overbooked its capacity. She stated that she would get in trouble if she did that. I informed her, better you get in trouble instead of me! Our server was still not compliant with our request. Restaurant did not honor our reservation. Our reservation was for a party of 2 at 1:15pm on 11/23/17, we checked in 10 minutes early at 1:05pm. The manager/host did not mention that there would be any kind of a wait. By 1:30pm, 15 minutes after our reservation, I inquired about our reservation only to then be told that there was a 30-35 minute wait. At 1:50 pm, 35 minutes after the time of our reservation, they were ready to seat us. We had requested a particular food server and that was included in the information in the reservation I had made weeks prior through Open Table. When I asked the manager/host if we were going to have our requested server, Philippe, he said that if we wanted that server we would need to wait another 1 to 1 1/2 hours! Unbelieveable. So we were sat at another food server's table who provided what in my experience of restaurant dining had to be the worst service in my life. 20 minutes before we were even greeted. Then another 20 minutes before we were brought bread to our table which should be brought to the table when the server first greets you. Then another 20 minutes before we had our drinks delivered. Then, yes indeed, yet another 20 minutes before we had our meal order taken. It was a warm day in Chula Vista that day, 87 degrees, but the restaurant management saw fit to not turn on the air conditioner despite the restaurant being filled to capacity with people. The environment was hot and very uncomfortable. By this time I and my guest just wanted to get out of there so we asked for boxes to wrap up our remaining food which, of course took yet another 20 minutes and then of course still another 20 minutes to have our bill tendered.

What was supposed to be an enjoyable day of dining turned instead to a frustrating and upsetting, negative experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to have an enjoyable dining experience. I wish I had gone elsewhere.

Consistently have good meals at this location. I've never had a bad dining experience here. I've dined at most of the steak places in town, and I seem to enjoy Black Angus the most. It's a great value.

I and my dinner party were very disappointed with the skimpy amounts of food served for the Thanksgiving Day dinner special, especially for the food elements considered to be relatively inexpensive such as dressing, turkey gravy and cranberry sauce. The meat soup offering on the Thanksgiving Day menu, however, was especially tasty. There was nothing memorable about the other food elements.
