Black Angus Steakhouse - Chandler Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I were celebrating our 36th anniversary and Father's Day together both a little early. We didn't know how busy the restaurant would be at 4:30 pm, so I made a reservation online which worked out fantastic and was so easy. We had no wait. The restaurant was very clean, the waiter was so friendly and helpful and wasn't too far away if we needed something. The food came quickly and was delicious. I had a 12 oz rib-eye my husband had the 8 oz prime rib and crispy shrimp. Both our meat was cooked perfectly . What a great atmosphere at this restaurant. Would we go back again?...heck ya! I would definitely recommend the Chandler Black Angus to all my friends and family! Way to go Chandler Black Angus.....we're your new fans and hopefully we'll be back real soon!
Had a special table given to us for daughter's graduation. Flowers were delivered to the restaurant and were displayed nicely on the table. Our service was top notch as was the food. I am so glad we decided to celebrate here! The smiles that greeted us and my daughter received so many congratulations. Very pleased!
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. We eat at Black Angus often so we belong to their birthday club. On your birthday, they give you a coupon for the your birthday month - it is worth $20.99 so as long as you buy another entree - your dinner is free. Our waitperson was Christine. She is always profession and attentive.
Family wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. Black Angus took reservations and we were able to get one just 4 days prior. Table was ready right at our reservation time. The server was there right away to take drink orders. Food came out within 15 min of our order. We had a 2.5 year old with us who was getting fussy and the waitress brought over a styrafoam to go container and a spoon for her to beat on like a drum and she was immediately entertained. I was impressed with her thoughtfulness on a busy night. Food was good and portions were generous.
Mothers Day Dinner.... Steaks were not cooked correct as we ordered and prime rib was cold and fatty. Told waitress about my steak and she brought out a plate to take it back and cook . Needless to say steak then was very chewy! Had to ask for a new potato as it was sitting in a pool of blood from undercooked steak. Never offered to fix prime rib or other steak. Waitress stated she could send one back!!!!
To many restaurants to choose from to pay this kind of money for food that was nor cooked the way it was ordered.
The server was very awful. We wait for 20 minutes before she came to our table to get our drinks order. Then waited for another 20 minutes to have us serve the drink and bread. The minutes she came with our drinks we are ready to order our food. Overall she did not hardly came back to our table to check us up to see what we need and if we are happy with our food order. I basically have to tell her to refill our drinks. She is more attentive on the other tables she was serving than our tables.
The food was just okay. The steak was cooked well but had little flavor. The mashes potatoes tasted good but looked watered down and shiny, like the ones you get in cheap TV dinners. The cookie was way too sweet. My salad was almost all carrots, cabbage, and croutons. There was nearly no lettuce and two tomatoes. This was the worst salad I have ever had. Our server was horrible. We tried to make small talk the few times he actually showed up at our table. He did not check on us. He asked about refills at the end of the meal, and only brought 2 of the 6 of us refills. He ignored the rest of us. He did not ask how our food was. He was no place to be seen the entire meal, until the end. Our children needed ketchup, but there was no one to ask. They got it after everyone else was finished. We got one piece of bread, which was eaten by the first of the guests to arrive. The rest of us had none. There was none offered. However, he did not clear any of the dishes as we ate, so we were able to use the extra butter to improve the potato. After we were finished, we waited another 10 minutes for him to come pick up the payment, so we could leave. Overall, our check was way too much for the quality of the service and food. We do not plan to return. We were also not greeted when we came in. There were two ladies chatting at the podium. We had to find our guests ourselves, after we grew tired of waiting for acknowledgement.
Black Angus was one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Chandler. My husband was in love with their steak and lobster option due to the size of the lobster. So, while on a visit to Chandler, Black Angus was on our must do restaurant list. Unfortunately, Black Angus is not able to get the large lobsters, so they were serving 2 smaller lobsters. My husband was so disappointed that it ruined the dinner a bit. On our next visit to Chandler we'll call ahead to see if they have the large lobsters. If so, we'll be sure to stop in and dine.
There is considerable competition among casual dining steak restaurants and Black Angus was at best fair compared to others. On a positive note service was outstanding very quick, my main meal came immediately after my salad arrived (too quick), but the steak was at best average as was the salad. Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Lone Star all do a better job...at the same or better price point...sorry but true
This Black Angus has been our favorite restaurant for some time. We found a great waitress in Ravyn. Met Michael, the Assistant Manager, who was so helpful with a small problem. He was understanding and listened carefully and, I believe, took care of the problem in a fair manner. He made a great impression for his managerial skills and kindness. Will be returning soon. The food so good, as usual.
Celebrated my wife's birthday with family, there were 5 of us in the party. The entrees were steak and lobster, prime rib and lobster, and ribs. All the food was a big hit, especially to the family members who had never been to Black Angus. The steak was tender and juicy. The lobster had a smokiness to it that made it that much better. The ribs were cooked to where they would fall off the bone.
What I liked the most was the service, especially at the end of the meal when our server noticed the birthday gifts and asked who was celebrating their birthday then unexpectedly brought out a complimentary birthday desert for all to share.
It was a memorable experience, I know my wife and I will return to Black Angus and I suspect those who had never been to Black Angus will return also.
Seated promptly. Served promptly. My NY Center it was tough and gristly, the mashed we're like warm. My colleagues' ribeye was very thin and overcooked. Lousy value overall. Next time I will spend a little more and go to the Keg for consistently great meals.
