Sigh... they just weren't up to their usual high quality.
Despite arriving ten minutes early and having a reservation for a specific seating time, my party was not seated until half and hour (NO EXAGERATION) later than my reservation time --- and that was only because the hostess was kind enough to get an extra table placed for me.
The steaks were over-done and the service was abominably slow.
This experience was unlike any other that I have had at Black Angus and I would attribute it to bad management --- not to the staff. (And I really hate writing this review because it is the lowest rating that I've ever left for any restaurant.)
Always great food and attentive service.
Nothing beats a Black Angus meal.
Great atmosphere, a little cold due to high winds that evening, but overall experience was great!!
I haven't been out in public for dining since last March. I was very nervous about it but it was such a nice experience. They took all the precautions. The servers were a face shield and the rest of staff wore masks. We were seated outside under a tent-like structure, next to a heater, far from other tables. We had a lovely view of the moon and stars. Mariah was our server, she was sweet and lovely and made my night and Birthday dinner special! The only thing I missed was salt and pepper on the table but I understood the reason for this. I'm sure that the staff would have accommodated had I asked.
Food was good but came out cold. Asked for my broccoli to be steamed longer n it wasn’t. Added extra shrimp for my dinner n was told 6-8 for $8.00 only rec 3 n were cold. Asked for hot butter n it too was cold.
Great food and server
Even with a reservation we waited 40 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was slow and forget to ask if we wanted drinks and one of our side orders. Never asked to refill our drinks.
Black Angus was always one of my favorite places to go. Kalifornia restrictions are destroying it. I know they are doing their best but service was slow, food was mediocre and eating in a parking lot was horrible.
Kalifornia is crazy and it’s destroying good restaurants. I will not go back until things go back to normal.
My waitress did not ever ask how we we’re doing and only cared about the tip.
The food and service were very good! It was a windy evening but we were still comfortable outside.
We had reservations at 7pm but didn’t get seated until 8 PM. Ordered the filet mignon and lobster meal, it had to have been the worst filet mignon I’ve ever had in my life but the rest of my meal was decent. Service was slow, I always felt thirsty because I couldn’t get my drink refilled. They were definitely overbooked for Valentine’s Day but it was nice to get out of the house and it was the only reservation we could get it in the area.
Went for Valentine’s Day, they definitely were not prepared to be so busy which made them lack
The service was horrible and our steaks were unevenly and overly cooked.
Would not recommend.
was an amazing experience overall the only thing is was the food was a bit burnt and we waited a bit long even though we had a reservation other than that the place was fantastic
Had a nice time eating at the outdoor dining experience, although it was a little chilly. We were prepared by wearing layers, but they had heaters and a tent blocking the wind. It was nice way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
I went here for Valentines Day and was amazed at the quality of the food for the price. I was expecting something on the Outback level but it was much better.
Took my wife for a Valentine’s Day lunch. We have the Valentine’s fewest for 2 for $99. Best value in town, great service, food and atmosphere.
Even in blustery, pandemic conditions they did a great job!! Thanks to our server Samantha!!
We had a nice meal on February 13. We felt social distancing was good. Table spacing OK. The food was good, my only complaint is my medium steak was well done. Actually beyond well, I ended up taking it home for the dog(too chewy)
Black Angus is one of our favorites. Food and service has always been spot on!
It was nice to be able to eat out but outdoor dining is not preferred.
The meals were delicious and tasteful. The drinks were good too.
Prime Rib and Mud Pie special attracted us for our first outdoor dining experience in several months. Table in tented area of the parking lot. Heater next to our table helped keep us warm on a cool evening. Glad to have outdoor dining restrictions loosened up. Tables were well spaced apart and serving staff wore face shields and masks. Nice cut of Prime Rib and tasty too.
No cover on patio service was poor
Food not so great
Mushy Brussels sprouts
Service and food Outstanding.
Breezy and cool even with space heaters. Did best as possible under the circumstances
Could not be helped
Horrible waitress. Rude. Cold food and burnt steak.
It was wonderful to go back to black angus and the steak was delicious.
Despite my check in they forgot my party was waiting and I had to remind them because they were seating people who came after us.
I prefer their outdoor dining arrangement to the inside dining experience! It's quite romantic- much better lighting. Our steaks were good, although I wish they offered prime meat. The service was excellent, & the drinks we had before dinner (a martini & margarita) were also very good. We'll be going back, & hope they always keep the outdoor dining!
The food was very good and dining outside was no problem, especially with a heater right next to our table! Our waiter, Dan, was absolutely fantastic - fast, attentive, thoughtful.
Celebrating our anniversary
First day back. Everyone did great. I’ll be back for sure!
Outdoor dining sucks
My sister and I were so excited that they were re-opening on Saturday, January 30. They open at 3 PM and we made a reservation for 3 PM. I’m very glad we got to go and enjoy our food outside. They have tarp walls around the edges so you really aren’t bothered by cars driving by. My prime rib was a little tougher than usual but it was great to have them open. The staff is wonderful and nice and the food was good. Please go and give them business so they can continue to serve us outside until we are safe to go back inside.
food was good but one side was wrong. time took forever because server was good but s l o w . but black angus is a good place for steak. cheaper than outback, and bigger portions.
We enjoyed our dinner very much, since we hadn't been able to go to Black Angus, Burbank, for a long time, since it was closed. We were so happy to see it reopen. We love the Dinner for Two option on the menu. We look forward to returning there when outdoor dining is available again.
Despite COVID challenges, restaurant staff and food were excellent.
EVERYTHING was PERFECT! The food, the customer service, the wait, all of it!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Groups that came in with no reservation were seated before us. In fact we were seated 20minutes past our reservation time. Then they had one server for what I would expect to be two or even three sections typically. She was running around trying to do her best, but it was an impossible feat. We were there for almost three hours because of wait time on food and trying to pay our bill.
