Black Angus Steakhouse - Burbank Ratings and Reviews
Went for a Birthday celebration but noticed the lg. margarita glasses are gone and the ice tea glasses are smaller. Can't enjoy the beverages without paying a premium. I ordered a 12oz steak and a 16 oz steak, both Ribeye, and my 16oz was the same size as the 12oz and once I took off 2oz of fat then felt ripped off. Had the same experience the last time I came regarding the steaks. No size difference! To make matters worse I gave a $20 extra tip by mistake for a 2 person dinner with a free $20.99 birthday discount. My mistake! Cutting corners with drinks and slipping smaller size steaks will be their downfall. You should at least be able to taste the alcohol after down sizing the portions. Ugh!
Even though we had a reservation and arrived on time, we still had a 15 minute wait. However, that was much shorter than the walk ins, which were lined up outside. There were open tables that had been cleaned, but either not enough waiters or host/hostess was slow in seating people. Garden Salad used cheaper lettuce than I remember before. Fried zukini used a dipping sauce that was very runny. Baby back ribs were very dry. Baked potato was also dry. Still overall decent experience, but not as good as we have experienced here before.
6 of us. We had reservations, and were seated promptly. Service overall was good. Food, nothing to write home about, but acceptable. I think the chain needs to update itself before it's too late. Food at Outback Steakhouse tastes better, but it's not as nice.
Excellent food. Food service was only okay, but acceptable for the value. Great date night for all ages, young and old alike. Reservations highly recommended during peak hours. Wonderful happy hour: food was pretty good... good bang for your buck. Will be back again real soon!!!
Decided to take my wife for her birthday, based on the recommendations of my sister-in-law and her guys. Used a coupon from the mailer to get two entrees, sides, and a dessert. Made a reservation using the website that afternoon, and even had to shift the time a half hour - all very easy to use, good notifications of the change, etc. I mentioned in the memo section that it was my wife's birthday, and that she enjoyed gluten-free desserts (hint, hint).
Restaurant was fine when we got there, medium-upscale dining would have been my guess. We overheard a few birthday celebrations while we were there, as the staff would sing when they brought out cake or whatever. We ordered, our waitress was very nice and efficient. She got a rib-eye, I got the prime rib. At one point waiting for our meals, I noticed a bug (small fly) in my water glass after I had been drinking from it. I quietly pointed it out to the waitress, who acted appropriately shocked. I said it was no big deal, and asked for a replacement. Meals arrived - my wife was happy with her meal, top to bottom. I found my prime rib to be a little too fatty (I'm used to fat on a cut of prime rib, but not that dominant) and cold. I didn't send it back, but considered it, which is rare for me.
We finished out meals and our waitress brought out the delicious gluten-free chocolate cake option Black Angus has. I was a little surprised and disappointed that there was no "Happy Birthday" song for my wife - I added it to the reservation so I wouldn't have to make an excuse to get up from the table and make arrangements for something while we were there. It seems like, with the computerized systems we have in place, that this should have been picked up on. Maybe I'm too optimistic.
Overall, she was thrilled with the meal and the evening, and I was only partially disappointed by my experience. I'd give it another chance.
We enjoyed our meal and time to visit as well as the food. It is close to home reservations run on time along with being able to share in conversation due to a reasonable noise level unlike so many place today. The variety and food choices is always good and the food does not disappoint. Good choices for beverages alcohol or non. This is one of the places we choose often.
Our seating was very late, but it was New Year's Eve and I think they underestimated the crowd a bit. After we were finally seated, services was a bit slow, and they ran out of clean wine glasses (at 7:15PM). Up side was the food was really good and they did accommodate us with free appetizers as they knew they were late in seating us. We had a party of 10 set for 6:30PM and wasn't seated until after 7PM. I would go back, but not with a large party.
My boyfriend as not stopped talking about that a great New Years Eve dinner we had. I know he went back to work today and told them all about what a time he and I had there. I just moved here from Ohio and I do believe we will be back many times this year. Thank you for making our New Years Eve so special.
We had our Christmas Dinner at Black Angus. There was no special Christmas dinner's that they were offering.
We were surprised when they made us sit in the bar area, we usually sit in the dining room.
We order the Campfire Feast for two. It was worth the price, a complete meal with desert include it. The potato skins are delicious!
Our steak was prepared to our liking, their Chef is very good.
I order a tom collins (drink) the barkeeper is not very good at preparing them, it'll probably the last time I order that drink there.
We arrived for 6pm reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. Great. The service was good. Our waiter was very nice but was very busy. It took at least 5 minutes for acknowledgment from our waiter. It was at least 10 minutes for wine/drinks to arrive. Food came out quickly though. I think they were short a waiter. Food was good, we were all craving prime rib and each of us had that as main. Our sides varied a bit. The prime rib was good, my baked potato was barely warm. Yes, we will be back. We enjoyed our evening and food. Again, waiter was very nice but seemed to have many tables and was really busy.
Usually good for birthdays - in fact, it was the 2nd birthday celebration I attended there in the same week. I am a very frequent diner at this restaurant. Server started out great, but service and friendliness seemed to decline dramatically when I needed to send back a salad that arrived with a small dish of a different type of dressing spilled on the salad. I have food allergies and am not able to eat that type of dressing that was spilled on it.
Terrible experience. We were sat in an area behind the bar next to a waiter service area. Asked to move to another table/booth which was even worse. It was in a back corner with no view. Looked like an area where only the employees would take a meal break at. We left without ordering anything.
Either hire more staff or have customer wait longer before serving.
Waitress comes by every 20 minutes for one thing, tried to ask other table staff but no luck too busy.
By the time we finally finished and got check was 2 hour and 15 minutes.
Suppose to be family birthday dinner for 7 but all were very disappointed, 3 out of 7 steaks were under or over cooked, bread served was hard at bottom as if it was reheated.
This is the second year that my friends took me there for my BD.... the food was ok but not as good as others have said. I was greatly disappointed the next day when I went through my emails & found one that said all weekend they were having 1/2 price appetizers. Then I remembered why we went there the year before. I want to know why the waitress didn’t tell us about the special!
