Black Angus Steakhouse - Burbank Ratings and Reviews
Our seating was very late, but it was New Year's Eve and I think they underestimated the crowd a bit. After we were finally seated, services was a bit slow, and they ran out of clean wine glasses (at 7:15PM). Up side was the food was really good and they did accommodate us with free appetizers as they knew they were late in seating us. We had a party of 10 set for 6:30PM and wasn't seated until after 7PM. I would go back, but not with a large party.
My boyfriend as not stopped talking about that a great New Years Eve dinner we had. I know he went back to work today and told them all about what a time he and I had there. I just moved here from Ohio and I do believe we will be back many times this year. Thank you for making our New Years Eve so special.
We had our Christmas Dinner at Black Angus. There was no special Christmas dinner's that they were offering.
We were surprised when they made us sit in the bar area, we usually sit in the dining room.
We order the Campfire Feast for two. It was worth the price, a complete meal with desert include it. The potato skins are delicious!
Our steak was prepared to our liking, their Chef is very good.
I order a tom collins (drink) the barkeeper is not very good at preparing them, it'll probably the last time I order that drink there.
We arrived for 6pm reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. Great. The service was good. Our waiter was very nice but was very busy. It took at least 5 minutes for acknowledgment from our waiter. It was at least 10 minutes for wine/drinks to arrive. Food came out quickly though. I think they were short a waiter. Food was good, we were all craving prime rib and each of us had that as main. Our sides varied a bit. The prime rib was good, my baked potato was barely warm. Yes, we will be back. We enjoyed our evening and food. Again, waiter was very nice but seemed to have many tables and was really busy.
Usually good for birthdays - in fact, it was the 2nd birthday celebration I attended there in the same week. I am a very frequent diner at this restaurant. Server started out great, but service and friendliness seemed to decline dramatically when I needed to send back a salad that arrived with a small dish of a different type of dressing spilled on the salad. I have food allergies and am not able to eat that type of dressing that was spilled on it.
Terrible experience. We were sat in an area behind the bar next to a waiter service area. Asked to move to another table/booth which was even worse. It was in a back corner with no view. Looked like an area where only the employees would take a meal break at. We left without ordering anything.
Either hire more staff or have customer wait longer before serving.
Waitress comes by every 20 minutes for one thing, tried to ask other table staff but no luck too busy.
By the time we finally finished and got check was 2 hour and 15 minutes.
Suppose to be family birthday dinner for 7 but all were very disappointed, 3 out of 7 steaks were under or over cooked, bread served was hard at bottom as if it was reheated.
This is the second year that my friends took me there for my BD.... the food was ok but not as good as others have said. I was greatly disappointed the next day when I went through my emails & found one that said all weekend they were having 1/2 price appetizers. Then I remembered why we went there the year before. I want to know why the waitress didn’t tell us about the special!
We made reservation way ahead for the Thanksgiving Dinner for party of 8 people. We arrive an hour and a half before our reservation. We checked in with the restaurant but they told us that they ran out of Turkey.... Seriously..... But that's fine, we then ask if they can honor their promotional offer of $42 dinner, they said no because it's thanksgiving... Again,.... Seriously...
I know its not their problem but people have circumstances, I have to drag my dad out of bed, he is sick and weak from dialysis. Both my parent are 78 years old. We were roaming around town to find a decent restaurant that is open. Every single one is closing at 9pm. Finally, we found an IHOP that's open 24 hours.
No one at the restaurant even call to tell us this situation.
I haven't been to Black Angus on Thanksgiving before so I was worried when I walked up and there was a crowd waiting outside and the waiting area inside was packed. We had a reservation, so we asked how long the wait would be and they said they would call us close to our reservation time. I looked at all the people and doubted this would happen. But, sure enough, we were called within 10 minutes of our reservation time and seated promptly. The Thanksgiving meal was featured at $19.99. It included a salad, turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams, and cranberry sauce. The meal ended with a slice of pumpkin pie. You could also order other things on the menu if turkey is not your thing. The service was fast, portions were good, and everything tasted good. My only complaint was we felt a bit rushed but knowing there was a crowd waiting, that was to be expected. So, I would definitely recommend Black Angus as a Thanksgiving destination if you want to avoid cooking at home!
Went to Black Angus for their Thanksgiving Turkey meal -- food was just fine.
My one "regret", if you will, is they no longer serve it "all you can eat" style as they have in the past -- which has a good side -- I did not "overeat"..
Making a reservation through OpenTable was easy and I would recommend doing that in advance.
My friend and I had Thanksgving dinner at Black Angus. We both had the special turnkey dinner with pumpkin pie. It was excellent:
Moist tasty turkey
Tasty mashed potatos, gravy, yams, brocolli and cranberry sauce
Pumpkin pie was good
It was an excellent meal and the best part was the wonderful waitress that served us. she was wonderful!
I normally would have nothing but nice things to say about this place. But they failed horribly on veterans day. Took my dad (a vet) and my hubby (for his bday). They didn't offer anything discounted or free for the vets like outback did. Also when we mentioned the birthday they just brought him the cookie and said happy birthday after spoiling the surprise. No singing or sorry we didn't read your special instructions when putting in your reservations. Bad bad customer service.
Love that campfire special! I took my son for dinner. He is definitely a steak and potato kind of guy! We that deal we also got an appetizer. We chose the fried zucchini. It was delicious. loved the cucumber sauce that came with it. I paid a little extra ($3) and got the filet mignon. So worth it. Cooked perfect. My son got the new york and it was really big. Salad was really fresh and the service was great. The special also included dessert!! We took home the mud pie. So yummy. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Our experience was just fair. First, though I did tell the host we had a reservation, the host did NOT mark we arrived on Opentable so I had to fix with Opentable after the fact. Second, the service was very slow and impersonal. Third, I had also listed it was a BIRTHDAY with Opentable so that was not acknowledged. Finally, I asked for a dessert with candle at the end for the birthday (after the check was given to us BEFORE we had a chance to order dessert?!). And when the bill came back for my signature, the dessert/candle was added to the bill with no detail confirming it. (Not necessarily expecting a free dessert but also no prior notice they were going to add it after they took my credit card.) Food was ok but there are better restaurants for the price/service/value/ambience. I would not plan to do again given so many other chain and local choices in the Burbank/LA area.
FOOD WAS OKAY,NOTHING SPECIAL.
THE SILVERWARE ON OUR TABLE WAS DIRTY.
I MAY NOT COMING BACK TO YOUR RESTAURANT.
AT FRONT DOOR WAS A LADY SELLING FAKE FLOWERS (PLASTIC),got me and my family to feel bad and we bought 25.00 dollars worth of fake flowers that we don't need.
our waiter, Matthew, was very good. He was right on top of things. He gave us time to eat our salads before bringing the main course out. He met our every needs. Also, Max the bus boy is truly amazing. He is so efficient, quick, and observant. He is always"Johnny on the spot" to bring more water, more refills on coffee, and taking plates away. He is a real asset to your restaurant. I hope management is aware of his talents.
