Black Angus Steakhouse - Buena Park Ratings and Reviews
We were very disappointed in our experience. Our reservation was for 6:45, but we weren't seated until 7:00. Our server, Jordan, didn't acknowledge us for over ten minutes despite walking by our table several times. Initially, our orders were not correct although she made them right very quickly. The food was just OK, not outstanding like normal. Usually someone from management walks around checking on everyone, but there was no sign of management. My husband and I are concerned that this Black Angus location is slipping down a very slippery slope and will lose us as long-standing customers (25+ years) if they don't make some positive changes quickly.
we usually wait until we get the campfire feast coupon and then come down and mow, does not help the waistline but the food and service are usually good and the coupon helps to save some bucks. we will be back again , now got to work off that cowboy cookie .
This time the service was EXCELLENT ! the waiter exceptionally attentive and the filette mignon cooked to perfection ! The salad very fresh and abundant, the salad dressing delicious !. The green beans very well seasoned and cooked. We also enjoyed the the apetizer and the carrot cake and the coffee.
We had an overall good experience. The kitchen was either in training mode or not staffed enough. Dinner took a while to come out. The hubby's ribeye was the only was that prepared correctly and had the sides he ordered. I ordered a ribeye blood rare with a loaded baked potato and broccoli. It showed up to the table medium with loaded baked potato and no broccoli. I had to send it back as I like my steaks "still mooing". The second one came out perfect with both sides. My mom ordered the smaller ribeye and it was overcooked, ordered medium rare and came out medium well. She didn't want to send it back as she was hungry. We ended our meal with a birthday cowboy cookie. The server made sure our drinks were always full. :)
OMG!!! SERVICE WAS SO SLOW!!! It was a typical busy holiday Saturday evening. There appeared to be PLENTY of staff yet they were all running around in panic mode!? It took forever before we saw our waiter! Then it took him forever to order and bring our drinks and it was the same problem with our food! We were there nearly 3 hours! NEWS FLASH! Nobody goes to Black Angus for slow/continental dining!!! And for as long as we waited our waiter should have offered to comp an appetizer, drink or dessert? ...or even some extra bread! In the end there's nothing about Black Angus that's worth the wait!
We've eaten at other Black Angus Restaurants, which are all good...but the Buena Park location is the best! The food is fantastic! And, although they are always busy, I can usually get a reservation on the date and time I need. We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Black Angus, and it was terrific. A bargain for a great turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings!
Our family has come here to celebrate many occasions. This was the first time for Thanksgiving.
They had all the fixings for a great value.
I ordered the prime rib for the first time and I loved it.
The service was great even though it was very busy for the holiday.
Enjoyed not having to cook and this food did not disappoint what so ever, I enjoyed everything.
Thank you Black Angus of one of the best Thanksgiving's in a long time.
We will be back next year.
On a holiday visit that was well attended, our reservation wait was shortest we've ever had there. They had good special holiday meal setup (off menu). My wife had a problem where the turkey was partially tough pieces. She even called the manager after we got home to make him aware of the issue. (Please note, this is the only negative incident we've ever had at this facility.) Restaurant was roomy, not very loud for the large capacity, and reasonable privacy for seating. Service was above par and server was attentive throughout the meal.
My husband , myself and son came here for dinner on Thanksgiving. Food was very good but they sat us next to the kitchen and it was very noisy and waiters running in and out of the kitchen, it was not a relaxing meal at all. Also the bus boys were arguing over the tip money at the table across from us. They gave our original table away by mistake to someone else so we ended up with that seating arrangement. It was not a memorable Thanksgiving.
it was Thanksgiving so the place was slammed, they did a pretty good job of moving people along and when we were seated there was no pressure to hurry up, good service and they do a very good job on the turkey and trimmings, it was all tender and juicy this is the 2nd time we had Thanksgiving dinner at Black Angus.
We usually received outstanding attention and service, however that was not the case on this visit. Our reservation was not honored. We were not seated until 6:30 and only after my husband talked to the staff and reminded them about our reservation. Very disappointing. Our server was just ok. She forgot my request for teriyaki sauce and also neglected to bring a refill of iced tea, and had to make an additional trip for the sweetener I requested.
This review will recap my most recent dining experience. However, the past few visits to this restaurant have not been positive. This review will reflect my most recent experience. Reservations at this restaurant used to make a difference for seating. However, that is no longer the case. When I arrived, I asked for a booth against the wall, which has the higher sides. This is more private. The hostess said she would try, if there was one available. I could see at least three that were empty. We were seated near the kitchen area, which was very noisy. The steak was good and prepared properly. However, the lobster tails (2) were slightly above room temperature. Very disappointing. Before my meal, I went to the men's restroom, which was filthy. I told the hostess about the issue. She said she would take care of it. After my meal I returned. It was untouched. My guest said the female restroom was even dirtier. The enclosed pictures show the "before and after" sequence. Also, the men's toilet seat was so loose, it was hazardous. I won't be returning to this restaurant any time soon....
We had not been to a Black Angus in years and was celebrating a birthday. The prime rib was just a big hunk of fat and the rest was chewy. We also ordered a ribeye and it also was all fat. They used to be a great place to get any kind of steak, but no more. They are now just a tourist trap. We won't be back.
Our server, Lorenzo, was fantastic. For a Friday evening, it was not overly crowded nor loud. My husband's steak was not prepared correctly. It was immediately returned with apologies. The new steak took so long to come out, we were tired and ready to leave. We had it boxed to go.
