Only the bar was open (not dining room). Music was too loud and we had to ask for it to be turned down (expected in bar area). Complied. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation in the bar area. They were understaff for the lunch crowd. 2 servers for the room. Requests took a long time to be filled. They did allow us to stay for 3 hours. That was very nice.
Overall, bargain lunch and a nice price for seniors to lunch together. I will probably not return to this Black Angus because of the noise level.
Our dinner was amazing and our waiter did a great job... it was very quiet and the manager came around to see how we were doing.
food was excellent. waiter was awesome. thank you!
Mother's Day so it was busy. Made my reservation online. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Good service. Thank you! Will come again. :)
The service was great. Lorenzo was attentive and friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you. Food was delicious as always. That's why I keep coming back. Great service! Great food!
We went for Mother’s Day and we had a party of 5 , 3 out of 5 had issues with their meals.
1. Prime rib was cold, side dishes cold.
2. Black and blue filet, that was definitely not a filet it was a fatty ribeye covered in blue cheese and mushrooms.
3. The ribeye was a sirloin steak.
4. We ordered the wagon wheel sampler. COLD
It’s been a tradition for many years to celebrate at Black Angus. We will never return to the one in Buena Park.
The staff didn’t even try to make any of the above complaints right.
It was my birthday and even the Host said it was my birthday. The waitress never remembered and nothing was mentioned. I was a little disappointed.
1. Had to ride around the parking lot 3 times before finding a place to park.
2. Had a reservation, was seated in a timely manner.
3. After being taken to our table. I requested to be seated at a table instead of a booth. I was told 'None
were available'. An attempt should have been made by the host to find a table.
4. Waitress was at the table in a timely manner and took order when we were ready.
5. Appetizer arrived before the drinks ordered. We were told the bar was busy.
6. There was a very long wait between the time the salads we ordered and the time the meal arrived.
7. When the meal finally arrived it was not exactly what was ordered. My wife ordered a baked potato,
instead mashed potatoes were on the plate. She had ordered a full rack of ribs. They appeared to have
been over cooked. As we had to wait such a long time for our food we decided to just go ahead rather
than to wait further for her food.
8. We realized this being a Friday night and Mother's Day Weekend they were very busy. But, that is no
excuse for shoddy service. Also overhead other customers complaining. We will not be going back
Server was attentive and made some great recommendations.
Had a lovely evening. Glad I used open table for reservations! So easy!
All good but the shrimp was disapointing. Not jumbo as it said
Food was delicious, service was not as good as we usually have.
This location is a main stay in my dining preferences. The prime rib is very flavorful.
Our dinner at Black Angus was superb! Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and we enjoyed the generous sides that came with our dinners! The drinks and service were great too! We will definitely be back!!
Food was good and the service decent. Noise level was acceptable. They brought my fiancé a birthday giant cookie with ice cream which was really nice!
Everything was great. Because it was Easter they didn't offer any specials but generally their specials are really good. Reservation was on time
Very nice luncheon . Good service , great meal .
Had reservations for 6 and 4 of us got there right on time but 2 were running late. No problem with the staff. They said not to worry and brought more drinks till the rest arrived. Food was great and the staff was also. Wish they had one of these in my home town, Las Vegas.
It was my first time dining at your restaurant. I join your Rewards program, and it was my birthday that night. The service was really outstanding, and the wait for the reservations we had made, was very quickly. I will definitely be coming back and dining at your restaurant!
The restaurant per se was nice but the rest wasn't- it had fats and tendons in the midst of steak and the overall food was too salty. Waiter was negligent, only showing up to take order, serve food and give a check. Yes, they have done what they're supposed to do, but having to wait quite a time just to ask for cup of water is bit abnormal isn't it? I'm not into playing hide and seek with a waiter. Anyhow, I won't recommend it to my friends.
The food was great and the service was wonderful. It was a lovely evening.
Food was good and atmosphere was nice. Good value for the price.
Seated immediately, service was quick, staff was friendly, food was good, coupon deal made it affordable.
Sunday evenings are the best, average crowd, plenty of space and dedicated workers.
Do not go here - came for Anniversary dinner because we had been at a Black Angus in another town and loved it - disappointed from beginning to end. Our server kept forgetting about us - received our appetizer with our salads, and then waited while others received their meal before us. Prime rib was just awful and I sent it back only to receive something cold and rubbery... after traveling all the way to California for a nice dinner with husband, we left feeling completely disappointed.
This was a particularly good place to have a weekday lunch with an adult friend who is on the Autism spectrum. Very calm atmosphere, not at all chaotic or noisy, softly lit. Good food, friendly service. Two thumbs up.
very prompt. attention level, excellent.
I was disappointed that I had mentioned it was my husband birthday and the waiter never said anything even though the hostess said something to me as she seated us.
We love this place and go very often but last time we went I saw that food and service can be compromised when it’s really busy
Always love the Campfire Feast at Black Angus.
I had good time and enjoyed your good food. Thank You.
FOOR WAS COLD THE AU JUS WAS SO COLD YOU COULD SEE THE OIL ON TOP OF THE JUICE WAITED FOR MANAGER TO COME OVER HE TOOK FOOD BACK TO RE-DO
WAITED 15 - 20 MINUTES MORE WHEN CRAB LEGS CAME BACK THEY WERE REFIGERATOR COLD.
SENT BACK WITH MANAGER AFTER ASKING HIM TO TOUCH TO CONFIRM COLD. WAITRESS KEPT
FORGETTING THAT WE ASKED FOR HOT AU JUS.. HAD TO ASK 3 TIMES
BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS FIRST TIME WE WERE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED 3 DINNERS 2 WERE
BE A LONG TIME BEFORE WE GO BACK
Great service with good food
This review could have been much higher but we were served cold soup, we most of it, but were disappointed
We were very impressed that we made a reservation for 2 online for 7PM, Friday night. Arrived at the restaurant @6:50PM, gave the hostess our reservation info & were seated immediately! Will do this again. My grilled salmon was excellent with the mashed potatoes & green beans. My husband's steak was good, but he wasn't pleased with his sides of grilled onion rings & coleslaw. Coleslaw didn't have a good flavor & onion rings weren't that good. Service was a bit slow but service was good & so was our female server.
Great food and service at lunch time
Service was very attentive first half of the meal, not so much second half, I had to ask twice why our entres were taking so long.
One filet ordered medium rare, arrived medium well. Sent it back, took quite a long time, and without the requested Bernaise sauce, that took a while to arrive.
At our time to depart I had to get up from the table to find our server to get the bill.
Very pleasant server, just seemed as if she had too many tables.
In general, food was good and the hot chicken strips for appetizer was very good. The filet mignon was not so good but as I said the salad was great and the other appetizer. Just disappointed in the filet. We would still return. The service was great and very attentive.
I would have given 5 stars except for our dessert. My New York steak was prepared perfectly, and the add-on mushrooms is highly recommended. My husband had the rib eye steak, which was delicious but could have had some of the fat trimmed - lots left on the plate. The disappointment about dessert was that we had narrowed it down between a decadent fudge cake or seasonal fruit cobbler. The waiter told us the cobbler was apple/cherry, so that's what we opted for. Because we were stuffed, we asked it to be packaged to go. When we got home and opened it, we found it was apple/cranberry (way too tart), and the cobbler was a hard granola in large pieces scattered on top. If I had been at the restaurant, I would have sent it back and gotten the fudge cake. Our drinks and sides were all yummy.
