Black Angus Steakhouse - Brentwood Ratings and Reviews
Pretty loud. Had proble making a reservation. Keep saying no seats unless you sit outside. Server was very thoughtful. But very busy with so many tables to watch at one time. The seat people to close together when they didn’t need to. Our party tryed to sit at a table and it was so tight to get into. Noticed others were changing seats also from the same spots.
Tasty steak and shrimp dinner with several sides for a great value. The service provided was friendly, efficient and made for a relaxing dinner. Rhianna, our server, was a real pleasure and Lupe, the manager checked to make sure everything was just right. We always enjoy our dinning experience at Black Angus.
Our waitress, Priscilla, was wonderful. She patiently helped my wife with helpful suggestions for wine and her entrée. She was friendly and patient which we really appreciated.
The crowd noise is very loud and it's hard for some of us old timers to understand conversations.
Boyfriend took the first sip of his water and it had blue cheese at the bottom of the straw. Manager tried to joke it off which none of us found funny. Aside from them not offering a free appetizer or dessert after the incident our food was luke warm. Wouldn’t come back.
overall experience was just okay.....the price was very expensive for the quality of food we received ( ie: potatoes skins were over cooked, salad over dressed, and pretty much everything was on the boarder of being cold. I've been here before and it wasn't like the experience I had this time maybe it was a bad night. The server was very nice.....next time we will go to BJ's! Sorry BA.
Alex was a really great server and he worked really well for us even with all of our separate side requests. The steaks and burgers were cooked wonderfully, and only one fried shrimp was over cooked. Will definitely request for him as a server in the future.
Lazy , unprofessional wait staff. Left napkins and trash on the floor. Looked at it and kept on walking. Our particular server was a very nice girl. Just inexperienced. Baked potatoes were almost cold when served. We were told they sat waiting for my daughter's fries to finish cooking. This is the 4th time we've eaten there. One meal was so bad (server forgot about us!) the entire check for 4 adults and 2 kids, including drinks, was comped by the manager. We keep saying we'll never go back, and then after 6-8 months we try it again, only to be disappointed again.
We were celebrating my daughter's college graduation. How disappointing and embarrassing my husband and I were. The service was slow and the food was horrible. Black Angus knew ahead of time that it was a celebration. They didnt even offer the guest of honor a Complimentary dessert. The waitress knew that we were not happy just by the mostly uneaten food left on our plates.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner. The food overall tasted good, but there were 2 issues. The salad had been changed (used to be ice burg, cabbage, carrots, onions, tomatoes, and croutons but it was switched to spring mix with tomatoes & croutons), and was served warm instead of chilled like I had experienced before. Also, everyone's dinner was cold. I requested to have my meal re-heated, and the waiter even offered to have a new plate made - but there's always the worry of having repercussions for asking such a request. And even then when it came back it was still pretty cold. I just said screw it, cause at least the gravy was slightly warmer.
I don't know if the server was over loaded, but he seemed to be struggling with either the kitchen taking too long or some other issue because service for refills on drinks, bread to the table, and serving for food took a long time. He even apologized for the unusual wait. But still, we had to ask for bread and additional items a few times. At one point we had 3 dishes of butter, but we only had been served 1 loaf for 3 people.
I definitely had the feeling that it just wasn't his night, and he just wanted to be home for the holiday. We still really appreciated him working, but I ended up feeling bad that we were part of the reason why he was having a difficult night.
Great experience, we went here on Thanksgiving because we just got back from vacation and were too tired to cook at home. They did have a fixed price Thanksgiving dinner on the menu that day, but we skipped it in favor of steaks (since we were at a steakhouse) of different kinds. All the steaks were done to perfection (i.e, as requested), and the sides (2 per dish included) were also very tasty. Quantity of sides are not very large, but it is filling. We also had appetizers and one of us had a cocktail. Fried appetizers seem to be a bit on the oily side, but delicious - check out the fried cauliflower, it's really good. We also shared a bread pudding dessert that was delightful. Overall, a great Thanksgiving dinner.
We went on this occasion for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right away. It was a special menu for the holiday. We had the prime rib and lobster tails. The food was great and my fiancee commented to her friends on the east coast what an outstanding meal it was. The service was great like it was the last time we went and we will definitely go again
This is the first time in about 3 years that I've eaten at a Black Angus restaurant. I was treated so badly at the Pleasant Hill location on numerous occasions that I finally said no more. I have some friends that live in Brentwood and they kept telling me to try the Black Angus there. So we went for Thanksgiving. It is like night and day between the two places. Even though it takes about 30 minutes to get to Brentwood. I will make the drive and go back. Actually had a manager come by and ask how was the food. The servers were all pleasant.
