I took my husband for Fathers day. It was very busy but it was obvious that they were understaffed big time. Our server was doing the best she could, but it took over 10 minutes to get our drinks and almost 30 for our salads. Everyone was hustling but it was pretty disorganized, twice other servers tried to bring us food that wasn’t ours. I give props to everyone because they were doing their best, but for someone who’s never been there before it didn’t make me feel the need to return.

It must be hard getting back to normal after more than a year, and Black Angus is trying, but not there yet. It seemed there were fewer wait staff; prices were higher; and food preparation not perfected. My medium rare "plus" prime rib was more rare than my wife's medium rare- and the steaks were bland. French fries were soggy. Baked potato is one of the side dishes you can choose, but it seemed most of the toppings were now at additional charge.
Wine list is small, but reasonably inexpensive. They're trying- and it's worth another visit in the future.
Best steak ever. Tender, juicy and flavorful. Kept saying mmmm mmmm with every bite. We'll be back.
We have always enjoyed eating at Black Angus. On days like Father's Day Black Angus is the ONLY nice restaurant that takes reservations. It is especially important for handicapped people to be able to make reservations so the wait time is much shorter - if any. The wait staff was very nice and efficient. We enjoyed our visit.
I have never been disappointed at Black Angus. The food is delicious, the service good and all for an excellent value. We will be going back.

I was not impressed by the service or the food. I think the server was newly hired. Black Angus needs to raise their standards to keep my patronage.
Dined here for my son's 17th birthday yesterday. Booked a reservation through OpenTable, which was very convenient and made our experience very easy and quick. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was clean and following all of the covid procedures required.
Food was delicious, steaks cooked perfectly. My son was very pleased with his surf and turf that he had requested for his bday.
Good experience all around and definitely would recommend people to try it for themselves.

The orders got mixed up (gave my husband my steak and me his), and they completely forgot my son's second "sidekick"
Food as good. Restaurant was not crowded and it had air conditioning. Perfect for a hot evening
Everything was fine, however my wineglass came dirty which I didn’t notice at first, and the waitress was very apologetic, however the rest of my time I wondered how clean everything else was.

The food in general was worthy of 4 stars, except for the top sirloin steak that ruined the whole experience. It had so much gristle that it was very difficult to cut with a steak knife. I chewed and chewed, and finally had to spit it out because I actually couldn't swallow it. Half of the steak was inedible.

Don’t get me wrong the steak was great. The lobster was small and tasted like soap. And the lobster didn’t come out until we were done with the food. I was asked multiple times if I needed anything and then stuff I asked for was not brought out. It seemed like a lot for $111 for two people drink and dessert included. Oh and of course I will be back because it’s Black Angus and the steak was great.
Good customer service
When we first arrived, at 1 pm, we were told that there was no seating till 2:30 PM because we didn’t make a reservation. So then I went online because there’s nothing online saying you must make a reservation. And was able to book a reservation for 1:15 pm. I even watched them turn away an older couple, probably in their 80s from a seat. So I turned around and reserve that gentleman a seat, also. Service inside was pretty good. Very attentive as he could be. Yet when we received our food my steak sandwich was over cooked, more of a well done, when I requested medium. My nieces ordered the chicken with avocado, yet nowhere in the menu does it state that it is all mixed together, meaning that the onions tomato and everything was more of a pico de gallo blended with the avocado. So they scraped it off because they don’t eat onions. Like I said the service inside was good we had a great waiter but everything else was not so hot. Rather disappointing.The next question being “ would I referred my friends” I guess I have to think about it before I did.
I had reservations for 8:30 p.m. Waited 10 minutes though I was on time. Once seated the server was quick to respond to my requests. The place was not full yet as it was pre-pandemic. The food was excellent. I had baby back ribs. The best I have ever had. I would recommend you order them.
The service was amazing. The hostess checked my notes and made sure to seat us at the bar. The only thing we were celebrating a birthday and the waitress never song or made it known. Besides that, everything was perfect.
We always look forward to dining at Black Angus Blossom Hill. Been a return customer for many years. We always get the Campfire Dinner for Two. Quality of food is exceptional and well presented,, Caesar salad great, prime rib cooked to perfection, delicious appetizer, a mouth watering dessert, and especially this time, service by Trey was really remarkable, in every respect. Friendly, attentive, perceptive, time conscious, everything you would want in a server. You can tell the place is well managed. Can't wait for our next visit, hopefully very soon.

The service was much better than I expected. It is a quiet and pleasant place thanks to the nicely designed booths. Will definitely go back soon.
Our waiter, Eden, was awesome and treated us like family. The food was good which is a Black Angus standard. We have not been back to BA since the start of the pandemic but had a wonderful time. It felt good to be back considering we used to eat there about once a week prior to the Covid issue.
Prim rib was tasteless and as thin as a slice of lunch meet. Asparagus not cooked. The boot seat was shredded like a dog had chewed it to tatters. So was the one next to it. Then they tried to charge me double for a fixed price dinner.
Great dinner with our family. Service and food was great! Easy reservation process. I highly recommend!

I still think the one in Milpitas is much better. But sadly that location closed down. But I'm surprised this location actually did medium rare correctly! Good job on that!
Very nice dining experience.
The food was good. Service was spotty. Took a really long time to get a hot tea that my wife ordered... and all drink refills come to think of it. Other serving problems that got ironed out. Nice having reduced capacity dining indoors. Had mentioned on Open Table it was for a Birthday but, no mention of that at the restaurant. It was really nice eating indoors again!
Finally nice to get together with our family for dinning outside.

It was nice to be back. The service was excellent. Everyone from the front hostess to the server were so nice and friendly. The food was tasty as usual. I took away one star as the plates were much smaller than in the past. The food was really crowded on the plate which was hard to separate them in order to have room to cut into my steak as well as the broccoli. Our booth was clean but we noticed the tables across from us, that weren't being used, were very dusty. After being closed for over a year, its understandable, but some attention should have been paid to cleaning every table and booth seats too. Other than the small things mentioned, we enjoyed our dinners and will be back. Black Angus on Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose has been our favorite restaurant for many years. It will continue to be. Just glad things are opening up again. Keep up the friendliness, it's so needed these days.
