Edin was our server and did an excellent job. Came by numerous times and attended to our needs. Professional, courteous a great sense of humor. He made our evening enjoyable.
My only disappointment was that I was asked at making my appointment if it was an occasion and I said anniversary
Nothing was ever done. This has happened several times when we’ve been there celebrating something.
Had the summer grill trio, and prime rib with lobster tail. All was yummy! Ian was an excellent server!
I met a friend for dinner. I've been out for breakfast a couple of times lately, but this is the first time in a long time that I went out for dinner, and it was very nice. It was not crowded, fairly quiet, good service, good food. A pleasant experience overall.
Sign up for their email promotions! You can't beat the deals. And, if you can make it in for Happy Hour (4-6pm) you'll be saving even more. Their food is consistently well worth the prices.
Excellent food, excellent services. We all wish that the Black Angus Steakhouse in Sunnyvale did not close. The commute for us to this restaurant is quite far.
Nice selection from menu. Went to Happy Hour in the bar area.
Service was slow. Came out wrong. Veggies were cold
The food has changed way to much for myself and family; the grilled artichokes have been taken off the menu, the rice isnt as good they charge more for “premium “ sides that used to be included like the wedge salad.
The steak has lost some of the flavor it used to have. Just not as good as it used to be.
My friend and I ordered the Campfire for 2. She had prime rib, and I got a full slab of ribs (enough for at least 2 more take-home meals), and we each had their famous au gratin potatoes. We shared a delicious shrimp cocktail, some broccoli, a green salad, and very sweet molten chocolate cake. Altogether delicious.
Good service, all were so very attentive
Excellent service! Our server was knowledgeable about menu!
The Margarita was well made and prompt. The lobster tails, albeit small, were very tasty. The accompanying prime rib, although cooked to the right level of medium rare, was extremely dense tough meat, some of the worst I’ve had. My wife’s „jumbo“ shrimp were well cooked and served piping hot, as was my dish. Overall, the ambience was what I would expect for a Happy Hour bar, which is where we were seated. The service early on was quite good, but our waiter disappeared late in the meal showing up only when called by other staff who noticed my impatience. Overall, the experience was not as Good as previous visits, the steak was not what i would expect from a steak house, but the cost was also significantly reduced by several promotions. We will try again, but the meat had better improve next time.
Only problem was our 2 steaks were not cooked as requested!
One overcooked, the other well undercoked.
Service was OK but not very good as expected for small crowd in attendance.
Had a nice dinner for our anniversary & my birthday. Server was very good at her job. Didn’t see the tables being wiped down really well after patrons left, seats not at all. Unfortunately I ordered a New York steak no place was free of grizzle. Server took it back no issue ordered the prime rib which was excellent.
We had been at Black Angus for father's day and had a very good experience, I had decided to go back for my and my father-in-law s birthday (I had noted in reservations), total different experience, steak was a little tough, asparagus was terrible and no mention of birthdays. I did get my free steak dinner, I had prime dinner, it was excellent.
Our server Tre was amazing, you could tell they were super busy but any and every time we needed anything it showed up. It was great. I usually don’t write reviews but with everything that’s going on this felt normal and better than normal
Service was great! Food on the other hand not so great. Prime rib was had by 3 guests, and none said it was worth the price. One was tough, the others much smaller than they should have been. The shrimp on the shrimp platter were way over cooked and quite tough and rubbery.
Service was very good. Accommodating and pleasant. Food, although ok, used to be better.
Black Angus on Blossom Hill is our “go to” place for celebrating events in the local area. The BA team has done a great job recovering to inside dining following relief of COVID restrictions. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the food very good. It is great to be back to near pre-COVID normal.
Our server was friendly . Service was great. The food on this visit was well prepared.
Overall experience was great, food good, service excellent
We are so appreciative that Black Angus takes reservations, making it a lot easier to get a table when we want one. The food is always good and the staff are always helpful.
It was my Birthday.
We showed on time and we were seated very timely.
Attended to very quickly.
Ordered, got our appetizer and drinks very quickly and they were outstanding!
My date and I decided to use the restrooms before our main course was delivered but when we returned our table had been completely cleaned with the rest of our appetizers and drinks gone!
Our waiter was very apologetic and eventually brought our main dishes which were cold and tasted like they were microwaved!
I ate my Prime Rib and Lobster Tails which were now overcooked, cold and just did not taste very good. My date did not eat but a couple of bites from her dinner and took the rest home for her dog!
I was supposed to get the Cowboy cookie for my birthday and my date got the Mud Pie dessert. She got hers but they forgot my birthday cookie and had to remind them! Again they apologized and brought the cookie which was now cold!
The Manager was very sorry and deleted my dates dinner from the total bill which was nice but the dinner was ruined and so was the dinner experience!
So sad, really was looking to enjoy a nice dinner at a favorite place on my 59th birthday and that just did not happen!
Thank you so much for listening and to be honest I don’t know if I would return to eat there again!
Black Angus on Blossom Hill Road, San Jose.
First time we dined here after the pandemic. We frequently come here before. Things still same: Food is good, service is good (there was a Filipino server who assisted our waitress yesterday; he was very nice and accommodating), place is clean, also the restroom. We definitely will be back.
Went there for birthday dinner with my husband. Dinner was delicious. Steven G is an exemplary server, always pleasant and attentive.
Food was excellent as usual. However, server was not attentive as we had had in the past. Had to wait 15 - 20 minutes for bill after server was informed we were finished.
My husband and I ordered ribeye steaks. I normally order fish so maybe I just don't have the right expectations, but the cut was... complicated. In some places I couldn't figure out what I was cutting into, meat? fat? connective tissue? I ordered it medium. It was slightly pink in the middle and red at the ends. About a third of it was a continuous piece of tasty meat. But I was expecting it all to be like that. Again, maybe, as a person who doesn't regularly order steak, my expectations were unreasonable. But I definitely wish I had ordered the salmon. As for my husband, he wasn't impressed with the cut of meat. They also brought the wrong side dish, which didn't help our impression. Overall, it was a "meh" experience and with all the offerings in San Jose, we won't be going back.
Waitress was a little slow. Took a while to get drinks and a long while to get the bill
Our server was Steve V. He said he only started 4 days ago but he served us like a 4 Year veteran!
Amazing service and great people skills!
We will ask to be at Steve's section next dinner at Black Angus.
Good service, tender ribs delicious crisp salad. Delicious!
We were so happy to be eating inside the restaurant again! Our meals came quickly and were delicious. Btw, I ordered a Berry margarita and it was awesome!
My server was awesome and so attentive. The food is always great and fresh. Very clean bathroom and restaurant.
Nice place for dinner with a loved one or the whole family. Steak cut was not worth the price, more like something I would have gotten with steak and eggs at a Dennys for a lot less money. Plate presentation was poor, service, sides, drinks were great.
Great place to eat. Good and fast service. Friendly waiter. I like that they take reservations.
Good, reasonably priced food. Tonight the service was incredibly good.
Both of our steaks were tough. Mine was cooked to the proper temperature, but my husband's was overcooked. When we ordered, he said that he didn't want it overcooked. The waiter and his assistant seemed to think it was fine and didn't offer to fix it. We were very disappointed. This is not the Black Angus that we have been to in the past. I guess they don't care about their food anymore. They just want your money.
The best server ever. He did s great job. Very good food.
I took my husband for Fathers day. It was very busy but it was obvious that they were understaffed big time. Our server was doing the best she could, but it took over 10 minutes to get our drinks and almost 30 for our salads. Everyone was hustling but it was pretty disorganized, twice other servers tried to bring us food that wasn’t ours. I give props to everyone because they were doing their best, but for someone who’s never been there before it didn’t make me feel the need to return.
