Don’t get me wrong the steak was great. The lobster was small and tasted like soap. And the lobster didn’t come out until we were done with the food. I was asked multiple times if I needed anything and then stuff I asked for was not brought out. It seemed like a lot for $111 for two people drink and dessert included. Oh and of course I will be back because it’s Black Angus and the steak was great.
Good customer service
When we first arrived, at 1 pm, we were told that there was no seating till 2:30 PM because we didn’t make a reservation. So then I went online because there’s nothing online saying you must make a reservation. And was able to book a reservation for 1:15 pm. I even watched them turn away an older couple, probably in their 80s from a seat. So I turned around and reserve that gentleman a seat, also. Service inside was pretty good. Very attentive as he could be. Yet when we received our food my steak sandwich was over cooked, more of a well done, when I requested medium. My nieces ordered the chicken with avocado, yet nowhere in the menu does it state that it is all mixed together, meaning that the onions tomato and everything was more of a pico de gallo blended with the avocado. So they scraped it off because they don’t eat onions. Like I said the service inside was good we had a great waiter but everything else was not so hot. Rather disappointing. The next question being “ would I referred my friends” I guess I have to think about it before I did.
I had reservations for 8:30 p.m. Waited 10 minutes though I was on time. Once seated the server was quick to respond to my requests. The place was not full yet as it was pre-pandemic. The food was excellent. I had baby back ribs. The best I have ever had. I would recommend you order them.
The service was amazing. The hostess checked my notes and made sure to seat us at the bar. The only thing we were celebrating a birthday and the waitress never song or made it known. Besides that, everything was perfect.
We always look forward to dining at Black Angus Blossom Hill. Been a return customer for many years. We always get the Campfire Dinner for Two. Quality of food is exceptional and well presented,, Caesar salad great, prime rib cooked to perfection, delicious appetizer, a mouth watering dessert, and especially this time, service by Trey was really remarkable, in every respect. Friendly, attentive, perceptive, time conscious, everything you would want in a server. You can tell the place is well managed. Can't wait for our next visit, hopefully very soon.
The service was much better than I expected. It is a quiet and pleasant place thanks to the nicely designed booths. Will definitely go back soon.
Our waiter, Eden, was awesome and treated us like family. The food was good which is a Black Angus standard. We have not been back to BA since the start of the pandemic but had a wonderful time. It felt good to be back considering we used to eat there about once a week prior to the Covid issue.
Prim rib was tasteless and as thin as a slice of lunch meet. Asparagus not cooked. The boot seat was shredded like a dog had chewed it to tatters. So was the one next to it. Then they tried to charge me double for a fixed price dinner.
Great dinner with our family. Service and food was great! Easy reservation process. I highly recommend!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Clean, great service and good food. A nice place to celebrate my daughters graduation.
I still think the one in Milpitas is much better. But sadly that location closed down. But I'm surprised this location actually did medium rare correctly! Good job on that!
Very nice dining experience.
The food was good. Service was spotty. Took a really long time to get a hot tea that my wife ordered... and all drink refills come to think of it. Other serving problems that got ironed out. Nice having reduced capacity dining indoors. Had mentioned on Open Table it was for a Birthday but, no mention of that at the restaurant. It was really nice eating indoors again!
Finally nice to get together with our family for dinning outside.
It was great to get back to dining inside of a restaurant. The food was outstanding, too!
It was nice to be back. The service was excellent. Everyone from the front hostess to the server were so nice and friendly. The food was tasty as usual. I took away one star as the plates were much smaller than in the past. The food was really crowded on the plate which was hard to separate them in order to have room to cut into my steak as well as the broccoli. Our booth was clean but we noticed the tables across from us, that weren't being used, were very dusty. After being closed for over a year, its understandable, but some attention should have been paid to cleaning every table and booth seats too. Other than the small things mentioned, we enjoyed our dinners and will be back. Black Angus on Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose has been our favorite restaurant for many years. It will continue to be. Just glad things are opening up again. Keep up the friendliness, it's so needed these days.
Food was great as well as the service
Wonderful night out...everything was great! Very safe place to dine, outdoors and inside.
Ribeyes were fabulous. Perfect medium rare, juicy, and delicious.
Excellent food and excellent service for a reasonable price.
The bone-in rib-eye was delicious the atmosphere was nice and service was very good
We had reservations for 8:15 pm inside dining and upon arrival at 8:05 pm, we were immediately seated. There was table spacing and plenty of social distancing. Service was excellent. Only complaint we had was that we ordered Chocolate Mountain Cake for desert. Someone placed it into a microwave oven before being brought to our table. Not only was it to hot to eat it was reduced to a large steaming gooey mess! We complained and were told it is always served that way. NO WAY! No attempt or offer to replace it with one that had not been microwaved! We have been Black Angus customers for over 35 years and have NEVER had heated (melted) chocolate cake served to us. Couldn't eat it, just paid the bill and went home very disappointed. First time negative experience, so we will be back.
The food was salty and the waiter was more in hurry to take the oder and get the heck out of our site which he did, and the food, the stake we order is to dame salty. I did not want to be rude but I figure I most likely will not return. I spend good amount of dollar with tips I still gave even the stake was SALTY. I have no problem spending money on food. Its your waiter need more training to understand your customer regardless of where they from. I can't say enough the stake was SALTY an indication the cook is burn out and he or she doesn't care enough about customer or his/her JOB. Really ....
My steak was very salty. However didn’t complain.
Nice relaxing night out for our Anniversary this year
Great service by all the staff and food was great for the first being here
Very good celebrated Mother’s Day Waiter was very good everything was hit enjoyed it
Our server was great she made us feel special she took really good care of us 👌🏻
I took my mom here for Mother’s Day and did the campfire feast for two. Loved the servers she was so nice and attentive. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, but it came out kinda cold so they made us another one that was steaming when we got it and was perfect. They time between our remake dip and when our dinner was a good amount of time we enjoyed the appetizer and had a little down time and then the food came out everything was perfect liked what we had ordered including the temp on our steaks. It was a lovely meal and since the covid restrictions have people spaced out it wasn’t noisy at all.
Food came out wrong. They took it back and my meat became beef jerky but was hungry and didn’t want to complain
Steaks were over salted, we got our sides before we even got our steaks, they didn't have the wagon wheel combo, alcoholic beverages were horribly watered down, requested more bread more than once never received it until upon leaving. To be honest I feel that after so many years of tradition to come to black angus for a celebration this is our 1st and last time ever going. Server was not attentive.
Nice Mother’s Day
Food and service was very good, but the menu was limited and prices definitely higher than last fall. Could have been Mother's Day prices.
We went for Mother's Day lunch and sat outside due to Covid19 restrictions. Location is a block from my mother's senior facility so that is a big plus. Food was good -- shrimp, prime rib, Caesar salad, hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert. Service was very good for this type of restaurant. They kept our drinks topped off and food came at a good pace. The price for the set meal (appetizer, entrees, sides and dessert) was excellent. There is nothing fancy or creative on offer here, but what they do they do well!
Great food and service..the ambiance of the restaurant is good too..
it would have been nice to have some specials for mothers day
The service was outstanding! However, my ribeye was so full of grizzle that it was hard to cut. The prime rib had a lot more fat than we normally see. I've never been disappointed before, so I'm hoping this is a "one off".
