Black Angus Steakhouse - Arrowhead Ratings and Reviews
Both of our steaks were way over cooked and never should have left the kitchen. However, our waitress was great and took care of the problem and took them back to the kitchen. She returned with much better steaks and they way we were expecting our meal to be. While we didn't talk to the manager that person did comp one of the steaks to make it right. Desert came with one dirty spoon which was rectified right away too. The night was saved only due to the caring of our waitress and only wished I could remember her name to give her credit here for really caring about our dining experience. Will go back. It was just a bad night in the kitchen!
I arrived early to check in and speak to the hostess about it being my daughter's birthday and wanted to have them do their Happy Birthday thing. She took my info and told me no problem and would give it to waitress and no worries.
WRONG! WHEN OUTSIDE WAITED FOR THE REST OF THE PARTY AND WENT BACK IN TO LET THE HOSTESS THAT I HAD JUST SPOKEN TO KNOW THAT WE WERE ALL HERE NOW SHE DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE ME AND THEN COME TO FIND OUT SHE NEVER EVEN GAVE THE INFORMATION TO THE WAITRESS FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE SURPRISED WITH THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. I HAD TO SAY IT IN FRONT OF MY DAUGHTER AND IT RUINED THE ENTIRE CELEBRATION AND SURPRISE SO I WAS VERY UPSET BUT THE WAITRESS DID MAKE A EXTRA EFFORT TO COMPENSATE FOR THE HOSTESSES LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM.
Th restaurant was ready for us and had our reservation. Service was superb. We ordered the three for one with steak, lobster tail, and breaded shrimp. The meals came fresh and piping hot. The steak was the best I have had at this Black Angus in sometime. Overall, I have no regrets for choosing this Black Angus for our Sunday meal.
I was joined by a friend who is a snowbird and just got back into town. We wanted to catch up with each other since we were apart all summer. Black Angus came to mind for me because of the ambiance there & love the cozy booths in the bar for privacy.
The best fried zucchini in Phoenix area.
For the first time ever, two of the four steaks were not cooked as requested but the management made good on it. I also had left my credit card at the restaurant. The manager called and it was promptly returned to me. They went above and beyond - thank you!
Ever escalating costs for dining and now an extra charge for a side of bbq and cheese on broccoli are making Black Angus a poor value for our money. Couple that with a host who wanted to debate more than serve and we don’t want to go there anymore . Too bad because it’s a nice restaurant that we had been frequenting 5-6 times a year since shortly after it opened
We were there with another couple and liked having a booth. It was great for conversation. Food was overall very good- especially the salmon. My husband’s steak was a bit on the tough side. With a special- 2 for $44 - it was an excellent value! We enjoy this restaurant for special occasions.
Tasty food think I wish I had a coupon to decrease the price I paid. Service was good and food was tasty. I was looking for a Special night out just relax and get away and spend time with my lady. We enjoyed the night had a good time . I would like to do it again in the future.
We are a group of 5 that like to get together for dinner every couple of months. The original plan was to go to different places each time but we have such a good time and enjoy the food and the value so much that we haven't been able to go anywhere else. Our server on Friday was Lisa and she did an OUTSTANDING job. When we checked in, we joked with the hostess that we needed a "durable" waiter/waitress as we can get rather lively. Lisa was perfect, professional, attentive, kind and as well as having a great personality. We will request her specifically going forward and she should be commended for her customer service skills.
Let me start by saying the staff at this location was very cool and friendly. That being said, we just arrived in town and were sat at 8pm. Maybe it was because of the late hour but service was very slow. We ordered the dinner for two special which was good for the price. Appetizer, entree, sides and a dessert for $58. Nothing too crazy. We heard a woman at the next table complaining about the cut of meat. Hey! It's $58 for two people! Eat your meat or you don't get any pudding! The meal was good for us, just slow service. Definitely not the greatest but not horrible either. Hey, walk ins had to wait so how bad could it be.
Did NOT like the prawns, that were paired with my steak. They were tough, dry, and difficult to eat because they were stuck to the peel. Yuck. Salad was too big, only tasted iceberg lettuce. A smaller salad with variety greens would have been nice. Steak and baked potato were perfect. Next time, that is all I will order.
We were celebrating 2 Birthdays....as always the whole experience was wonderful.
Our server Alex was outstanding, we all said we would hire that lady in a second..she was right on top of everything.
The food was delicious, we had an array of appetizers to start and each one was delicious,
The main meal was steaks for most of them and 1 salmon dish was also outstanding..
We have been dining there numerous times and have never been disappointed..
