Black Angus Steakhouse - Arrowhead Ratings and Reviews
We had reservations for 5:15 but it became obvious diners without reservations who had been waiting were seated before us. We were seated next to the kitchen and the noise level was very high. The food was excellent as was our waiter. We would go back but will be prepared for a wait and will request different seating.
This specific location has the best service, staff, and is amazing! I take my friends, family, and business clients here and it never disappoints. The manager Sean ensures a well executed restaurant and Tiffany runs a great bar. Kudos to all at this location!
Overall this was a very pleasant dinner. Had reservations and the restaurant was ready, but some of our party was a little late. They gave away our table 4 minutes after our reservation time (but it was busy). We did get seated within 10 more minutes so we were OK with that. The food was really very good and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Considering how busy they were the service was excellent. The value was outstanding because we were able to use their coupons.
Thanks for being open on Thanksgiving Day. We appreciated the fixed-price turkey dinner with the usual sides: mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, dressing. (My plate could have used more dressing 😊). Added steamed broccoli (interesting choice in lieu of green beans, but okay) and warm molasses bread. The slice of pumpkin pie for dessert was fine. Soup of the day for first course was good, but the service was a bit rushed — we got the soup and the dinner plate almost simultaneously, so we had to wolf down the soup so our dinner didn’t get cold. Overall, though, it was a good dinner at a decent price. Thanks!
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner about 6 o’clock. For the past three years we’ve always enjoyed turkey dinner there. We had a party of six. We were pretty disappointed for the turkey itself the dressing was terrible. And whoever made the pumpkin pie was Bad. All in all the food was very disappointing. But the service was great.
We were seated close to our reservation time, which was nice, since it was very busy. The food was ok, but disappointed that there were two small pieces of the vegetable.....and the pie came out on paper plates.......?????? That was not expected at all, for a restaurant of this caliber.
The food was good for the price. The only thing wrong was I am not suppose to eat Dark Meat.
We were served dark meat with white. The waitress said that's how it comes no substitutes.
Really, some folks like my self can't eat the dark meat. I don't understand why we have to have
Black Angus is our favorite restaurant. Our food has never been less the excellent and when entertaining friends it is our choice place to eat. The service has always be excellent. We thank the manager for training his staff to a level that above any restaurant in the area. We have several steak houses that are much closer but can not measure up to the food and service that Black Angus provides.
Thank you for having such an excellent restaurant and especially for the Manager's commitment on providing a dinning experience that is hands down the best in the area.
Both of our steaks were way over cooked and never should have left the kitchen. However, our waitress was great and took care of the problem and took them back to the kitchen. She returned with much better steaks and they way we were expecting our meal to be. While we didn't talk to the manager that person did comp one of the steaks to make it right. Desert came with one dirty spoon which was rectified right away too. The night was saved only due to the caring of our waitress and only wished I could remember her name to give her credit here for really caring about our dining experience. Will go back. It was just a bad night in the kitchen!
I arrived early to check in and speak to the hostess about it being my daughter's birthday and wanted to have them do their Happy Birthday thing. She took my info and told me no problem and would give it to waitress and no worries.
WRONG! WHEN OUTSIDE WAITED FOR THE REST OF THE PARTY AND WENT BACK IN TO LET THE HOSTESS THAT I HAD JUST SPOKEN TO KNOW THAT WE WERE ALL HERE NOW SHE DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE ME AND THEN COME TO FIND OUT SHE NEVER EVEN GAVE THE INFORMATION TO THE WAITRESS FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE SURPRISED WITH THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. I HAD TO SAY IT IN FRONT OF MY DAUGHTER AND IT RUINED THE ENTIRE CELEBRATION AND SURPRISE SO I WAS VERY UPSET BUT THE WAITRESS DID MAKE A EXTRA EFFORT TO COMPENSATE FOR THE HOSTESSES LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM.
Th restaurant was ready for us and had our reservation. Service was superb. We ordered the three for one with steak, lobster tail, and breaded shrimp. The meals came fresh and piping hot. The steak was the best I have had at this Black Angus in sometime. Overall, I have no regrets for choosing this Black Angus for our Sunday meal.
I was joined by a friend who is a snowbird and just got back into town. We wanted to catch up with each other since we were apart all summer. Black Angus came to mind for me because of the ambiance there & love the cozy booths in the bar for privacy.
The best fried zucchini in Phoenix area.
For the first time ever, two of the four steaks were not cooked as requested but the management made good on it. I also had left my credit card at the restaurant. The manager called and it was promptly returned to me. They went above and beyond - thank you!
Ever escalating costs for dining and now an extra charge for a side of bbq and cheese on broccoli are making Black Angus a poor value for our money. Couple that with a host who wanted to debate more than serve and we don’t want to go there anymore . Too bad because it’s a nice restaurant that we had been frequenting 5-6 times a year since shortly after it opened
We were there with another couple and liked having a booth. It was great for conversation. Food was overall very good- especially the salmon. My husband’s steak was a bit on the tough side. With a special- 2 for $44 - it was an excellent value! We enjoy this restaurant for special occasions.
