Our server Alex was super nice and friendly. Excellent service. But was quite disappointed with the food. If you want good steak, I would prefer Gotham or Hy’s.

Had a 9:15 reservation. Seated at bar to wait. 40- minutes later, still not seated. Apparently, host station mixed up names. Manager accommodating, taking care of the drinks at bar. When finally seated, food and service were excellent. Definitely recommend!

Food and service was great. However our table was very close to the entrance. (To the left of the door). Was cold whenever the door was opened and did not remove my jacket.

I was here a couple years ago during a business outing and the food/service was outstanding to say the least. This time around was a different experience unfortunately. The lights for starters above our table were burnt out so for a couple in outlr mid 40’s with less than perfect eyes had a hard time reading the menus and had to breakout the iphone lights. We did our homework on the menu days prior to our night out and had decided that we wanted to experience the “Tomahwk” only to find out that they just sold the last one 5 minutes ago..........so we ordered the Porterhouse (medium rare) and it came (rare) now we should of maybe said something at this point but our waitress had it all cut up and on our table along with our sides so we just ate it as it would of been a whole thing sending it back........ the sides that we ordered however were good, mushrooms and Brussel Sprouts.

Great atmosphere. Black & Blue has a great selection of a wine menu along with their famous steak menu options.

If you like Happy Hour menu, go to the ground floor casual section or the roof top as the 2nd floor is only for fine dinning.

Food and service were outstanding! The waiter suggested the garlic shrimp appetizer and it was amazing! Chateaubriand for 2 was perfect for us!

We were excited to check out this restaurant. Arrived and were asked if we wanted to go to the rooftop or stay on the main floor restaurant. We choose the rooftop. Great ambiance & service. The tables were small and close but we did like being seated by the beautiful huge fireplace. The menu was limited and somewhat confusing, and It was physically very large & awkward took up most of the table. Maccaroni & Cheese appetizer was good but not mind blowing, we also had a Brie cheese and nut dip with bread, but they only gave you three small pieces of bread to go with it. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin and it came with a small amount of smoked potatoes salad. Salad was extra? He ordered it medium rare and it came very rare. I ordered kebab with prawns, lobster, and filet, was charged 2$ extra to substitute a green salad for the potato one and it was soggy & bitter. The steak was ordered medium and it came a medium rare. It may sound odd but it was difficult to chew, very slippery. We could have sent it but honestly just wanted to experience the restaurant as is. The lobster seemed over cooked , the prawns and both seafood was on the rubbery side. It’s not that the food was inedible, but for the price I was expecting to be blown away. Very little spice or flavour I feel we could have cooked it better ourselves at home. Although the ambiance was awesome the food quality was just not there. I left almost all of my steak and the waitress did not notice nor mention it. My husband did as well and usually we are clean the plate kind of people. Perhaps the downstairs restaurant may have had a better menu kitchen, but other than just drinks we would not return to this restaurant.

Stunning restaurant and the appies were incredible. However, my husband ordered the ribeye.... JUST the ribeye was $70. Nothing else included. He said it was chewy and very bland.

My steak Diane was ok. I've had better. The filet was literally two little scraps of meat. I added a lobster tail and it would have been so much better if it was just steamed. It was in a very rich sauce which totally took away any and all flavor of the naturally sweet lobster.

All in all, we wouldn't go back.... not for those prices.

After placing my reservation 5 days before the actual date, I was very disappointed to find my date and I sitting at a tiny table right next to the bar. This usually isn't a big deal to me but it was a special occasion for me and my date and we could barely fit our shared platter on the table. On another note the people sitting at the bar were extremely voicestress. This made for an unpleasant start to my first experience at Black and Blue. After 3 other tables complained, the people from the bar were asked to leave and everyone was very greatful. The only other comment I will make is that the service was not up to par for a $375 dollar meal for 2 people. By midway through the night we had a second server/manager assisting our first server because she was never to be seen. Overall a very satisfactory first experience at Black and Blue :(
