Black and Blue Steakhouse and Lounge - Valley View Casino Ratings and Reviews
The servers were very nice and professional. We did ask for lemon which we never got. Honestly I will rate the food a 4/10. We did not like the salads with those giant fried cheese balls considering the salad is called a field greens salad and seemed to be premade hours earlier. The nut, olive and cheese appetizer was tasteless.
The Salmon was good. The dessert was the Cheesecake Parfait and it was mainly whipping cream, would have better if it were a piece of cheesecake. The entire meal per person was 45$, very expensive for the mediocre food.
Great dining experience to celebrate our anniversary.
Dined in the cozy wine room which was chilly but they left the sliding door open to make it warmer.
Great service,wine & food.
Ordered their signature surf & turf.
There was a huge lobster tail, crab leg, scallop, shrimp, filet, vegetable, & 2 different kinds of potatoes.
The bread basket & coffee also were very impressive.
We got to play a fun card game to determine the price of our dinners.
They were normally $85 each but we got lucky and got both meals for $35.
The restaurant staff gave us a yummy complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
In addition brought us yummy cookies.
Needless to say we went home with a big doggie bag.
We will be back!
Although this is in a casino, don't let that stop you! It is by far the best restaurant for steak/lobster, etc. I am fussy and it is GREAT, has never disappointed. The manager, Louis and his staff are well trained, friendly, professional, great personalities, etc. I LOVE BLACK AND BLUE, THE FOOD AND STAFF! Give a try!!!
Great place to go for a sensory dining experience. From the scented hand towels that you receive upon arriving to the chef's sample of desserts given right before you leave, Black and Blue is one of the nicer restaurants in the area. Their menu is fresh and varied with unusual pairings. The wine and bar menu is complete. Check out their daily specials before you make your dinner choice. Enjoy their complementary appetizers and be sure to try their iced tea served with tea cubes, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. The coffee served after dinner is a dessert in itself, with fresh whipped cream, caramel, sugar sticks, chocolate and dipped scones. Take your time and enjoy all they have to offer, you'll be glad you did.
We have been dining at Black & Blue now for about 8 years, and every visit is just marvelous. Our regular server Ellie is wonderful, and she always takes great care of my wife and me. Luis the Manager is always very gracious and welcoming to us also. The food is exceptional and unique, and we always have a memorable dining experience. This past Sat (2/3/18) I had the Surf & Turf, and played Dining for Dollars, and my meal was FREE. OUTSTANDING!!!
Black and Blue is an outstanding restaurant. The steaks were perfect. Wine was priced very moderately; which is a wonderful surprise at a restaurant of this quality. They know how to add the extra touches......warm towels, small bites while you peruse the menu, small desserts and a coffee presentation that is out of this world. After a wonderful meal they serve the coffee with sugar sticks, chocolate spoons and biscotti. The coffee is the best I have ever had........ANYWHERE!!! The service was outstanding. I can’t wait to go back!!
Love our monthly dinner at Black and Blue! This was also our 43rd wedding anniversary dinner.
I had their signature Surf & Turf with lobster, jumbo shrimp, Alaskan king crab, scallops, and fillet. Started evening with Kumamoto oysters. My wife had their $45.00 dinner with local salad, fillet, and creme brulee after her Alaskan king crab appetizer. We gambled on my signature dish and ended up with $50 discount off of regular $85 price. Eli and rest of the staff always treat us with genuine great services!!!
Wonderful Birthday Dining !
We started with the Lobster Appetizer it was delish. Our Entree was shared, it was the
Cowboy Ribeye with Baked potato..With sharing, we went home with half of the Ribeye
and Baked potato ! My Martini was perfect...
The service was amazing !! Our waiter was attentive, not hovering and gave great recommendations!
Always a fun experience and the food is always above excellent. Our server Ellie is one of the best anywhere. She will give you the best service possible. If you have not tried the Lobster Avocado Tower you are really missing something. Love this resturant.
Wonderful time, we occasionally go to dinner at Black and Blue for special occasions. Birthdays and Anniversaries. We know anything we pick from the menu is going to be outstanding. The service is always great, especially when you first start your experience, with the bread or appetizers. The only negative would be waiting for the check, seems to take a bit of time for the check to arrive. Also, this last visit I was not asked what I wanted to drink. The other 3 people at the table received a drink but not me. I requested water in the beginning and had to ask for a refill. But overall it is the best service that most people will experience.
The steak was excellent and the vegetables and wine also very good, but we did not like having to walk through the casino area with smoking and noise and lights. There should be a separate entry for the steak house. Also, while the atmosphere was pleasant, it was not the very special ambiance that some reviewers have suggested.
This restaurant never fails to impress! My husband ordered the pork chop and it was amazing so flavorful and the polenta yum!
The service was exceptional overall. Oh worth mentioning ask about the soufflé! It’s not on the menu and must be ordered at the start of your meal Omg it’s wonderful and it has been different flavor every time we go!
Our waitress was great , service was professional, really liked our time. ALTHOUGH.... the male bartender really was unprofessional, did not acknowledge us for15 minutes at the front bar to the restaurant, served others as they sat down when we had arrived first. We were with a San Pasqual elder, Frank Orosco. He and us were very disappointed with his bartender service. As we left, others asked what had happened, he ,the bartender, (very loudly) stated to all that bar, “I dont know what happened he(Frankie) said he wasn’t being served. He accused me(bartender) of not serving him.” Very very unprofessional and improper etiquette for a eloquent establishment.
