Bix Bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Breakfast at the restaurant features such fare as omelets, steak and eggs, eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes, and French toast. Lunch and dinner fare at Bix Bistro features appetizers, salads and main courses. Menu selections include scallops, steak crostinis, flash fried calamari, bruschetta, Blackhawk salad, presidential pork chop, 24oz Porterhouse, New York strip, forest mushroom filet, single barrel salmon, portabella pasta and pasta new "O". Our cocktail menu is hand crafted by trained mixologists and updated seasonally, offered along side an extensive wine menu both by the glass and bottle.

    This restaurant in a vintage hotel is a favorite because of the atmosphere in a beautifully-decorated space, and wonderful food cooked to perfection. The drinks were great, as the bar is right in the restaurant, and we did not have a long wait for drinks or food on a Thursday night at 6:15.

    We very much enjoyed the small private dining area for our gathering. It was lovely to have it quiet such that we could converse with our families. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was all very enjoyable.

    Loved this place! The electronic menu was super fun and loved the recommended wine pairing with the entrees. The food was so ver delicious and our server was great! He had good recommendations and answered all our questions with obvious knowledge of the menu. Will definitely eat here again!

    5 of us ate lunch here and it was a first for all of us. We would all definitely go back the next time we are in Davenport. The food was of the highest quality and the portions were large. I had the portables spinach wrap and loved it!!!! The ambiance is lovely.

    blackhawk salad was delicious and a large portion, had the walleye and veggie, Veggies were not very tasty, neither of us ate the vegetables. I would not order it again. The salad was a 10! service was excellent.

    This is a sad hotel restaurant with bad service. There were only 2 servers who were either overworked or undertrained. We never got our drinks until after our food came. I received the wrong size salad and was told I wouldn’t be charged for the larger salad. I was. We were told after such slow service and not getting our drinks, they would comp us dessert. They did not. The decor is nice but there are random parts of the restaurant that are not finished or not used, like a stage area with seat cushions stacked up. The scallop appetizer was ok but the risotto was very mushy and lacked flavor. The caesar salad was covered in cheap store bought croutons. I will not be returning.

    Food was very good but not spectacular. Service was good.... but the wait time for the meal and for getting the check was too much. They may have been understaffed but the result was us missing our next engagement.

    We came to eat before a Broadway at The Adler show. We were seating timely, received a token for complimentary parking, and was greeted with a smile. The drinks and food were both delicious. The menu was not updated online so I was not able to order what I was wanting, but the item I decided to order was worth it. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

    My husband had to send his steak back twice. It was undercooked and cold. Both of our side dishes were Luke warm. They did bring us more hot potatoes. Very disappointing We sat at the bar before dinner and had great service and drinks. Bartender was great. The atmosphere was very pleasant

    Special occasion sent us to this fabulous eatery. Medallions of beef were the best meat I've had in a long time, and it should be as the entrees are pricey. Gorgeous room, excellent service, decent wine choices. The desserts were outstanding.

    Excellent meal! We enjoyed the Blackened Walleye and the Pasta O w/Blackened Shrimp were both delicious. I really liked that the food temperature was hot when it was brought to the table.

    Lunch with our daughter who attends Iowa. - excellent spot to meet between Iowa City and Chicago Great restaurant! The chorizo burger was the best I’ve ever had! If your travels take you to Davenport, this place is a must destination

    This place does not get enough credit locally. The black tie salmon is phenomenal and the filet and shrimp is excellent as well. All of the sides, potatoes and veggies are also delicious. Most of the bottles of wine are almost half price of some of the “fancier” places in the QC area. This is an excellent place to enjoy a wonderful meal quickly in a quiet, inviting environment.

    Bix Bistro in the historic Blackhawk Hotel was a great surprise! Not many places open for dinner on a Sunday, but Bix was, and the food was great. We started out with the crab cake appetizer, and for dinner, the Blackened Walleye Fresca and the Pasta New "O." All were delicious. The atmosphere is elegant and extremely laid back. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Davenport!

    We were in Davenport on a road trip back home to Denver, this was our second time in the hotel and restaurant. Chastity made it another great experience after a long day driving. She was a great host; very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu options and great with our young kids. We thank her so much and will be back next year.

    The location of this restaurant is very promising. Inside a boutique hotel, we were hoping for an outstanding experience. Drinks were excellent and craft made. Appetizer of crab stack was missing avocado, but the homemade won tons were exceptional. However it was a little downhill from there. Steak came with a very thick “crust” of salty Asiago and horseradish that I had to scrape off. I had asked for this “crust” expecting something more subtle. Husband’s meal of walleye was over cooked and served with cold risotto and under seasoned veggies. The server was very nice but a bit under trained. Maybe an off night?

    They have a fairly small menu, and it looked pretty conventional. Very well-executed, however; everything we had was quite good. Nice, well-curated wine list. Like everywhere, they're understaffed, and it shows, but our server put in tremendous effort. I would definitely return
