The restaurant sat us immediately. Great scallops and lamb shanks.
Everything about this place is great. Will definitely come back.
We really enjoyed dining at Bittersweet. Everything was prepared well and the service was very good. Wonderful flavor pallets accompanying the main dishes. Portions were on the smaller side but the quality of the ingredients made up for a smaller serving. We will come back again.
Nice setting. Food was good. Great service. Little noisy.
Yummy food in a cute environment. Very pricey 4 course Valentines Day meal that left you hungry for more because of the dish size. That’s the only downside.
Very unimpressed, too expensive for an incomplete dish and staff was not very well trained
My wife an ate at Bittersweet about 3 years ago and left feeling that the food was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Thankfully we returned last week to a pleasant surprise of excellent creative dishes from appetizers to dessert. Service was great as well. We will definitely be returning soon.
Good for foodies, innovative dishes & esoteric wine list. Outstanding lamb shank entree. Service was delightful
Small dining room.
The food was excellent. The service was attentive without being intrusive. We certainly will visit Bittersweet again.
I went for a casual business dinner and
was definitively impressed. The food was outstanding. All ingredients were ultra fresh, including the freshly baked Sourdough bread and the Campari sorbet. A truly exceptional experience.
Service was knowledgeable and very friendly. I will go back over and over again!
Good place to impress visitors from out of town looking for a great culinary experience and intimate ambiance
Friendly service and an enticing creative menu.
Outstanding lamb shank, maybe the best I've had in America! Great service and good ambiance, it was definitely a treasure. Was expecting it to be much more expensive than it was, and if it had been, it would still have been worth it.
Always great food at this gem of a restaurant!
Wonderful food and excellent service. Will definitely be back. Our new favorite.
Bittersweet proved to be an excellent dining experience. Each item we ordered was creative, perfectly prepared and delicious. The staff was gracious and helpful. We will definitely return.
The entire experience from the adorable bartenders, the personable hostess, the wait staff to the chef/ owners personal engagement was incredible. Instead of walking to one of our usual Lodo restaurants, many good restaurants by our place, we decided to jump in the car and head to Bittersweet. It was one of our top dining experiences in Denver! Highly recommended!!!
Really enjoyed our meal. Portions are not big, but the food is fantastic. All three of us enjoyed our meals.
Not worth the high cost
Food was great. Some items were just ok, but the overall experience was great.
Great food and perfect staff . Was a little sad that it was the tasting menu . It was new year however . A bit pricey
Our waiter said he only works once a month and was not familiar with the drink menu and barely knew the food menu - not what I would have expected at a place like Bittersweet.
The food was okay, but nothing that left me with a desire to come back for more.
The service is exceptional, the flavors are complex and inspiring, the ambiance is relaxing and inviting. We will be back!
To be fair the place was clean and the chairs and linens were lovely. Grilled carrot salad was surprisingly the best dish . The back room is warm and cozy but the front room is cold and too casual for the prices. Flank steak was good. Not too impressed overall. A few dishes were luke warm. Small portions on some items , salty, over garlicky sauce— it was like they were phoning it in. Took forever to get our plates. They were out of sparkling water on a Friday night at 7 — that’s just a exceedingly poor planning. Sporadic — timing made awkward dining for 4. Then dinner not hot when it arrived? Not good. The kitchen needs help— the hostess was eventually accommodating but not great. I specifically asked for the warmest table in the house. Her joke was “in the kitchen” then proceeded to seat us right across from the door on a 23 degree night. In a very sparsely occupied restaurant. My husband explored a bit and found a much more appealing additional dining room which was also barely occupied. It had a table — several actually —right by a fireplace. We asked to move and she agreed. We had high hopes but it was mediocre. We won’t be back when there are so many great options in town.
Really enjoyed the Thursday tasting menu and it’s a great way to experience the chef’s repertoire.
Good food, nice atmosphere but limited menu. We enjoyed dinner at Bittersweet. There are limited healthy options on the menu.
This is a very good, small French restaurant. The food was excellent, although they were out of one of the dishes we wanted. Service was not very attentive, but pretty good. Most importantly, the food was excellent!
Amazing food, great service but the waiter never introduced himself and was almost like scripted customer service! The incredible meal made up the difference
Bittersweet has probably some of the best food of any restaurant in Denver. The appetizer was creative and tasty. The hanger steak was fabulous and creative. The cocktails were tasty. The homemade bread is so delicious. The server was good though I felt the dinner was too quick. Unfortunately the really good pastry chef left and the new one does not provide very interesting options. We couldn’t find anything appealing for dessert so we left early and went home for dessert and after dinner drinks.
Always a pleaser - food is impeccable, interesting, And presented perfectly.
