We just had an awesome meal at Bittersweet. Although the number of entrees on the menu is limited there were still enough to choose from. We each had a starter and an entree and all dishes were delicious and well-prepared. This is one of the most creative restaurants in Denver. Definitely a keeper!

I wouldn’t recommend choosing this restaurant if you are hungry. The portions are so tiny they should leave a magnifying glass on the table. The food presentation was beautiful and the one bite served for the full price was quite tasty . A child’s portion at any other eatery would seem like a feast in comparison. After spending $200 for this dining experience , a stop at Good Times was needed to satisfy my families hunger. They should serve the entres on tapas plates instead of the large platters.

My friend had never been here, so we decided to split the burette (super fresh and yummy),
The halibut (really excellent), and the strawberry dessert with a scoop of hazelnut ice cream. Everything was fantastic. This place rocks!

We were a table of five and had a lovely evening at Bittersweet but there were some misses. Our starters were all excellent, especially liked the Asparagus Salad and Butter Poached Radish. The duck entrée was disappointing while both seafood entrees were very good. All four desserts we ordered were misses. How is that possible? The goat cheesecake dessert was deconstructed such that it was unrecognizable as cheesecake and the lemon poppyseed donut was just a dressed up, kind of dry donut.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for months and months and finally had the chance for my birthday. It was awesome! The menu changes often depending on what is locally available but what we had was so beautiful and delicious, I can't say enough about it. We will be coming back soon for sure. They featured pork belly on Wednesday's menu so two items we ordered featured it. Their burrata appetizer was the best I have ever had and the pork belly gnocchi was scrumptious. My husband had the fish entree and I had pork belly and for dessert, I had the lemon donut and he had the chocolate option. So so so delicious! And don't get me started on their Old Fashioneds!

The food makes bittersweet absolutely worth a visit. The service has much room for improvement.

The good: each dish was thoughtful and delicious (our selections - spagatini and tagliatelle to start, Cornish game hen and duck for mains, “chocolate wave” for dessert). The chef visited our table to assist with wine selections. Outstanding service from him.

The bad: several members of the waitstaff were openly enjoying cocktails (as in, their cocktails were on the bar) during dinner service. As a result, there was a significant delay in firing our courses and getting our drinks out. At one point, I witnessed the chef remind our server that we were still waiting for our entrees. All told, this appears to be a case wherein a great and patient chef would benefit from a better team to support his efforts.

I have eaten at Bittersweet 6-7 times before, and alwyas had a good meal, but this last time, the food was extraordinarily good and I am a picky foodie. Every dish that was served was delicious, interesting, and attracivley presented. Our winewas very good and reasonably priced. I don't know if we happened to hit it on a lucky night, but I hope thisi s now what we can always expect at Bittersweet.

We enjoy this place every time we go there. We eat a little early as a couple and it picks up a little later than most so it is very quiet when we are there. Food is great, staff and kitchen are helpful with dietary restrictions. Consistently one of the best.

My second time to eat there and it was equally as delicious as I had remembered. All 4 in our party thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, apps, salads, entrees and coffee. The desserts this visit were good but not on par with the other items. I look forward to going back.

The food was excellent. We had the special Short Rib plate and the hangar steak. Both were great. Finished it off with wonderful deserts. Only thing was the portions are fairly small for the price.

One of the best restaurants in Denver. The service, the menu, the ingredients, all outstanding. The flavors are really special too. The drinks are really creative too, it's a treat. The prices are really reasonable too, thanks.

We had another obligation later in the night so our reservation was at 5pm, they literally unlocked the door for us. Realizing this should be the freshest, best meal time of the day, ours was excellent. Definitely will go back again. Our server told us they change the menu up often and I’m looking forward to new choices.

The menu, starting with the mixed drinks was very unique and appetizers and entrées offered a variety of fresh ingredients that are were a tasty combinations. My only complaint is I wish for a vegetarian dish and there wasn’t any options.

Dinner at Bittersweet was delicious. We ordered spaghettini and the asparagus salad for starters. Both were very good. For main course we had lamb shank and cornish hen. The lamb shank was huge and very tasty. Really good lamb. The cornish hen dish was a smaller plate but also quite good. Scrumptious meal.

Service was attentive. Negatives: I was disappointed that at 6:30 on a Friday night they were out of short ribs. How can that be!? A restaurant with a small highly curated menu should print their own menus each day and if the supplier showed up with inferior meat and the kitchen decides to drop a dish, then reprint the menu in house.

The ambiance was very nice, cozy lighting but not too dark, the music not too loud, and encouraged conversation at the table for most of our meal. Near the end of our time a large, raucous group came in and the sound level grew considerably. So with a full house perhaps the noise level is higher than what we (mostly) experienced.

Never knew a radish could be this interesting! WOW. Another great meal with excellent service ("sure, we will do a small pour for a second glass of wine"). So great; clearly our favorite restaurant in town.

Because of Restaurant Week two of us older couples traveled (we live in SW area) to Bittersweet to try something new. The food was excellent with lots of choices on the regular menu. I had the RW food, the other three had food from the regular menu. The regular menu was not pricey in our opinion but if you ordered a salad or dessert the price picked up. I enjoyed the RW selection also. We would go back in a minute, it was delicious. Luckily we arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night and it was quiet.. By the time we left ,the dining area was getting noisy thanks to the tables being close together and two woman at the table behind us. I would give it the top star rating.
